Todoroki walked down the halls of UA High, one of the most prestigious hero schools in the world. It had only been a month since school started, yet he already found someone he deemed worth protecting. His name is Izuku Midoriya. He had messy green hair, big green eyes, and a child-like expression.
Todoroki, despite his willingness to defend Izuku, never spoke to him. He just often hung back and watched Izuku cheerfully speak to his friends. Sometimes, he'd catch Izuku staring at him with a bit of a blush on his face. Usually, Todoroki ignored it. Recently, though, Todoroki couldn't help but blush a bit himself.
Todoroki's POV;
"U-Um... T-Todoroki?"
I turned my head swiftly to look behind me. To my surprise, Midoriya was the one who spoke to me.
"Yes?"
"W-Well, um... I-I was wondering... Why do you always sit alone?"
I tried my best to not look horribly surprised or offended, but I obviously failed.
"I-I'm sorry, Todoroki-kun! I-I didn't mean to offend y-"
I turned my body to look at him, just now realizing how short he was compared to me. "You didn't offend me. I'm just confused on why you're asking."
"O-Oh, well, I-I mean..." I watched Midoriya's face grow red as he collected his thoughts.
"I-I mean... I j-just wanted to make sure you weren't lonely or anything... E-Everyone needs a friend sometimes!" He looked up at me, awkwardly smiling. Well, awkward to some people. To me, it was just flat out cute. I blushed a bit at my thoughts, scratching my head.
"Yeah, I get it. I'm not all that lonely, I talk to Yaoyorozu sometimes..."
Midoriya looked up at me suspiciously. "You've only talked to her twice."
I shrug. "That's more than enough socialization for me." After I said that, Midoriya looked a bit dissapointed. I patted his head as a reaction, making him blush a bit.
"You can be my friend if you want, Midoriya."
"R-Really?" He said, beaming. In response, I nodded. He smiled that wide, childish smile, happy. Damn, why does he have to be so cute? I thought to myself, glancing away with a slight blush. "We should be getting to lunch."
He nodded. I turned away, planning on eating lunch alone. Izuku followed me though, like a puppy following it's owner. I chuckle softly, letting him catch up.
