Karla Kuznetsov's POV
I was looking outside the window where the car was moving as I don't know where the situation was. I was happy to know that I was married to Scott but it was kind of nerve-wracking as well.
What if I cannot perform my wifely duties?
What if he will lose interest in me after a month or two?
How come I never thought of this before?
"Hey, sis. Are you okay?" Kat asked me as I turned to look at my twin. I smiled before I was nodding at her.
"Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked Katrina as I was smiling at her. She arched her eyebrow at me before I was looking outside the window again.
"Where are we going?" Lyana asked the driver as he was quiet the whole time.
"I have specific instruction to drive you guys to the coast," he said as I was turning to look at him.
"The coast? What coast?" I asked as I was curious to know the answer. I know the others were curious as I was as well.
"The Amalfi coast, ma'am," the driver said before we all squirmed.
"Oh my gosh! I cannot think that it would be a dream come true. I have always wanted to sunbath in the Mediterranean sun," Lyana said as she was complaining about the weather in Paris. It was not an ideal honeymoon destination, she said.
"Oh, the blue water and the nice Italian restaurant by the sea. I wonder if Lucas wanted to go out tonight and enjoy a night out," Ari said as I was smiling at them. I turned to look at Kat before she was deep in her thoughts.
"What about you sis? Have you thought of anything to do with brother in law later?" I asked my twin before she was snapped to reality.
"Huh? What did you say?" She asked before I was arching my eyebrows at her.
"Are you okay? You look a little distracted," I said as I was smiling at her. Katrina smiled weakly before a ping was coming into her phone. She took it out and she was reading the message before relief was coming into her face.
I wondered what it said.
"Well, it seems that we will have a barbeque tonight so I think we might have to change your plans for tonight ladies," Kat said as I was looking at her face. I think she was unwell when she was pale right now.
"And what about you, sis? Are you having another plan as well tonight?" I asked her before Kat was looking at me, smiling as if she was not hiding something.
"Of course, why would I have another plan when I was ready to spend some more time with you guys?" She said as I was looking at her.
Liar.
I was looking outside the window again as I don't want to be the one that was popping the party. Lyana and Ari were talking animatedly as well as Kat. But I know she was faking it. I saw her doing that before.
I sighed as I was looking at the mansion that our car stopped in front of it. I was looking at the driver but he was out and opened the door for us.
"Ladies," he said as I was nodding at him before the others were out as well. I was looking at the familiar car of Scott before I was looking at another car as well.
A Jaguar.
A Porsche.
A Maserati.
And of course, a Lamborghini, Scott's car.
Then the door was bursting opened before I saw that the men were after their wives. I was looking at Scott before he was walking toward me with his hands inside in his pocket. I was smiling before Scott pulled me in and kissed me on the lips. I was gripping his arms before he released me.
"Well, that was inappropriate. I wonder if there was a child around, you guys could be arrested as public indecency," Edmond said as I turned to look at them before Scott was smirking.
"Hah! You wish you were the one that was celebrating your wedding right now," Scott bantered with him before Edmond smirked.
"Oh, but I was. Every night," he said as he turned to look at Lyana. She blushed before Conall was clapping his hands.
"Okay, enough. I think it will do us no good if we keep standing here. We want to have a barbeque so we will have one. Now come on, let's go inside," he said as he was pulling my sister to his side. I was looking at her as Kat was smiling when Conall was talking to her. She nodded before they were walking inside the house, as well as Edmond and Lyana, Lucas, and Ari.
"Okay, I know that look. What is it on your mind right now?" Scott asked me before I turned to look at him. I swear he was very perceptive for his good.
"And what makes you think I will tell you, Mr. McBaran?" I said as I was looking at him before I was being pulled into his hard chest. I shrieked before I was smiling at Scott.
"You're such a tease," he said as I was looking at him.
"I learn from the best," I said as I kissed his lips before we were walking inside the mansion. I was happy to know that everything was large and bright. I don't think that it was their house but it could be, right?
I mean, they were from royalty lineage and all that. I just hoped I was not expected to behave out of place than I usually do.
We were walking toward the backyard as I was looking at the seaside that was pouring out from the view as we walked out. I was being greeted by the sea breeze as well as the smell of meat being grilled on the griller.
"Well, the guest of honors have finally shown up," Edmond said as he was in charge of the griller as well as Lucas. Conall was cutting some veggies with my sister as Lyana and Ari were making drinks.
"Cheers to them!" They said as Ari and Lyana were giving us our drinks before I was clicking my glass with Scott.
"Happy newlyweds!" They shouted before I was tossing the glass up as Scott was drinking bottoms up. They all laughed.
"Calm down, Scott. The night is still young," Edmond said as he was smirking when Scott was glaring at him.
"Easy for you to say, Lattone," Scott said before I was sipping my champagne before I was gripping his waist. He calmed a bit.
"Now, I would propose a toss," Conall said as he was holding the champagne and I was waiting for him to talk. He cleared his throat before we were smiling.
"I want to thank you all for having me in your life. And I know that I was not the best one to be the leader of our…mission but I think we can safely say that our lives will be normal from now on," Conall said as Edmond chuckled.
"I second that," he said.
"Well, I third it," Lucas said before I was looking at Scott.
"And I will say that everything has changed now," he said before we were clicking the glass and the men were chugging down on their drinks. Then I realized that Katrina was not drinking any champagne. Maybe she was not having it tonight.
I was sipping on the wine before we were moving to get the meat and the food that has been prepared, and you guessed it right, by Addington's order. I wondered who he was in real life, not the man that was exhibiting the commanding aura and all that.
I wanted to know the real him and so who would be best to ask if it was not my husband?
"Scott, love, can I ask you something?" I asked him before he turned to look at me as I was filling up the plate as well as his.
"Hmm, what about?" He asked before I was turning to look around. The others were preoccupied with each other as I was talking with Scott right now.
"Who's Addington?" I asked him before he stopped in his action before he continued to get some food. He laughed at me.
"I'm serious, Scott. Who was he? And why he has so much power over you guys?" I asked him before he shrugged.
"Well, he was our godfather and sole guardian," he replied to me as I was arching my eyebrows.
"Your godfather and guardian? To all four of you?" I asked him before I was blinking my eyes. Scott nodded.
"Yeah,"
"Are you guys related or something?" I asked Scott before he turned to look at me before he smirked.
"Well that's for me to know and for you to wonder," Scott said before he was going to take a seat at the table. I clicked my tongue before I smirked.
"We'll see about that, husband," I said as I was taking my seat as well and we were talking all night long with the sea breeze in our hair as the sun was setting.
