Lucas Dow's POV
I was opening the door of my car as Ari was looking at the shop. It was very distinctive as I can see Vork's Vow was some renovation but still going strong with their customers.
"Why are we here?" Ari asked me as I was putting my hand on her lower back. I was ushering her inside the shop before I was opening the door and a salesperson was greeting us.
"Welcome to Vork's Vow where your vows are important to us. How may I help you today?" The petite woman said as I was pulling Ari to my side.
"I wish to by my wife a wedding and engagement rings. Will you please show me the best collection and unlisted collection to us?" I said as the salesperson perked up. She knows that I was an executive member of the jewelry empire as I just described the only thing that exclusive member has perks too.
"Of course, please follow me," she said as I was ushering Arianna into the private room that was served for us. There was a bucket of cool champagne and 2 flutes were on display. They must have heard my conversation or they have any secret language to engage the exclusive members as soon as they can.
"Please, take your time. We will be here all night," the salesperson said as she was ushering the other employees to put on some display for the rings. Ari gasped when she realized there were so many designs to choose from.
"So, pick one, wife," I whispered to her as Arianna was picking up some of the designs before she was judging them.
"Too big,"
"Too heavy,"
"Not sophisticated enough,"
"What the heck is this?!"
"Oh my gosh! This is so last season,"
I was waiting for her to pick on what she liked but she doesn't want to do it anymore. Then I picked up a very exquisite design that I think she would love it. I was looking at the gemstone. It was garnet. I don't see Ari in garnet.
Because I see her in Citrine.
"How about this one?" I said as I was showing her the intricate design that looked like a vine that was coming up to the garnet, in which it will be citrine later on. I was imagining that as Ari was trying to get to the Citrine of Greece and she succeeded. Only to have succumbed to me later on.
"It's…"
"What?" I asked her as she was taking the ring before putting it on. It was a good match for her long, delicate fingers. She was frowning when I looked at her.
"What you don't like it?"
"It's nice and all but the stone, it's not what I wanted," Ari said before I was laughing at her. She punched my chest playfully before she was admiring it on her hand.
"If it was in another color of gemstone—"
"Don't worry, I will ask for a change on that as well," I whispered to her before I was asking her to pick for my wedding band.
"Hmm, that's not hard actually. I have something that caught my eyes when I first saw all the designs. And I think it will suit you well enough," Ari said as she was picking the platinum band that was shining under the light. It has an intricate design as well as it was embedded with smaller citrine around it.
"I imagine that if you were to catch the thief of The Citrine of Greece, this would be the perfect prize for you, my love," Ari whispered before I was pushing the button to get this thing out of the way.
The salesperson came in and I asked for the renovation of the garnet before she nodded at me and she was taking our rings out to the front. We were enjoying the champagne until we were called for the fitting.
"I hope everything is in order," I said as I was looking at the rings before someone was patting my shoulder.
"Well, well, well, if it was not my favorite member of the exclusive club," Noah Vork said as I was turning to look at him. He was smiling like the devil that he was before I was hugging him like a brother.
"So, what brings you here?" Noah asked before I was pulling Ari to my side and introduced them.
"Ari, love, I would like you to meet Noah Vork, the founder and CEO of Vork's Vow. He's also my friend when I was in the academy," I said as I was smiling at Noah. Ari nodded and asked him.
"How are you? I heard great things about you," Ari said as I was trying to hide my smile when I know that Ari was lying to Noah right now.
"Oh, I hope it was all good things," Noah said as he laughed. I was smiling at him before I was interrupting them.
"Well, when will we be seeing Mrs. Vork? It's been years since you have taken over the company," I said before Noah was chuckling at me.
"Hmm, hard to say. I was waiting for 'the one' to come into my path again," Noah said as I was arching my eyebrow at him.
"So, does that mean—"
"Enough chit chat. I have to get to work. I will see you around then. Will you come to the ball that was arranged by Reid at the end of this month?" Noah asked me as I was arching my eyebrows even more at him.
"What? Conall did not tell me that," I said as Ari was holding my hand. Noah laughed.
"Well, I'm sure he will be thrilled to learn that you have a lady in your arms now and in your bed," Noah said before Ari flushed and I was clearing my throat.
"What are you even talking about?" I asked as I was feeling a little bit flustered when Noah just chuckled at me.
"Whatever you say, Dow. Call Reid and make sure that I will see you there, I see you around, okay?" Noah said before he disappeared as we were making our way out of the shop after I paid for our rings.
"I thought you cannot afford this on your salary? My ring alone worth thousands," Ari said as she was frowning now. I laughed before I was kissing her hair.
"Do not worry. I got it all covered and besides, I got a special member discount," I said before Ari was arching her eyebrow at me.
"Should I know about it then?" She asked me before I was opening the door for her as I was smiling charmingly at her.
"Nope. Not a chance,"
"But you know I can find it, right?" Ari said before I was kissing her lips to stop her from talking and thinking of discovering my secret.
Not until I know all of hers.
"Now, now. We need to get out of here. We're celebrating tonight remember," I said before Ari's eyes dilated and she was breathing heavily now.
"Yes, that would be our next agenda,"
"Good to know that we're on the same page," I said as I closed the door and went to my side before I was speeding off from the shop.
Arianna Contos' POV
The heaviness of my rings on my left hand confirmed to me that I was married now. I belonged to Lucas and he belonged to me as his platinum wedding band was glistening in the air. I was happy to know that I was his and he was mine.
But when we've arrived at my apartment, our excitement for the night was cut short when I saw the familiar Lamborghini car as well as two-person that were standing next to it.
"Shit," I mumbled before I was out of the car after Lucas parked and we were walking toward my aunt and Tomas.
"Aunt Sylvia, what a pleasant surprise," I said as I was hugging her before I was hugging my cousin. I was smiling before Aunt Sylvia was snatching my left hand and showed me the rings.
"You have an explanation to do, young lady," she said as Lucas was standing next to me and supported me by putting his hand on my lower back.
"Actually," aunt Sylvia and Tomas were looking at him, "I have a confession to make," Lucas said as aunt Sylvia and Tomas were staring at each other.
Great, another family drama to be unfolded.
