A spark of electricity lit up the sky and in the distance, just as Chrono predicted there stood Cera Shadows.
She wore an agitated expression on her face.
"-You might think about warning me next time!! I almost had a heart attack yaknow!!"
Jericho walked behind her while babbling a bunch of nonsense.
"Oh shut it. You're Still here in once piece aren't you? Show a little gratitude why don't you!"
Cera snapped back at him while clenching her fist in the air.
"The two of you seem as lively as ever."
Evan spoke while walking up to them.
"Ev? What are you doing here? On second thought, where even is here?"
Cera was in utter confusion.
"Aha well, that's a long sto-"
"You're on my home world Jigoku and supposedly some kind of time traveler told Evan that you would appear here at this time on this day."
Sada cut Evan off getting directly to the point.
"Time traveler? What?"
There might as well have been a giant question mark hovering over top Cera's head.
"Like I said, it's a long story. Anyways, I need to ask you something."
"Huh? Okay wait but do you have any food? I'm starvingggg!"
Cera stretched out and sat on the nearest Boulder. She took her shoe off and emptied the sand from it.
Meanwhile Jericho jammed his hands into his front pockets and leaned up against the same Boulder. It seems these two have gotten somewhat close over the past few years.
-----------------------------
"Sooooo good mmm!"
Cera's cheeks turned red as she devoured her meal.
"That's the meat from a troll Avery killed, just so you know."
"Well it tastes wayyy better than the shadow beasts did that's for sure."
"Oh jeez, don't even remind me of those things."
Jericho cut in, a disgusted expression shown on his face.
"You baby, you're stiiiillll here in one piece yammering on aren't you?"
Cera tossed a bone at Jericho's head. His rage lit the moment the bone landed on him.
"Yes I'm still here in one piece quit acting all high and mighty like you're my savior or something!"
"Oh? Sorry, I'm sure you'd still be here if it wasn't for me right?
Oh, except for that one time you were almost eaten by that goopy monster.
Oh and that other time-"
"Okay! I get it you saved me a few times what are ya expecting a thank you? Sorry sweet cheeks, that ain't my style."
Jericho cut his head away and at the exact same time Cera puffed her cheeks out.
-------------------------------------
"Hey sis, I don't suppose you would know anything about how to use some latent powers?
More specifically the power to like create water and earth and stuff?"
"Wow, I was actually going to tell you something along those lines…you see Ev, I didn't just come from anywhere.
All this time, since we left Neodeka I have been on a whole other world. On that world I met a group called The Looming Shadow.
They are a powerful clan that grew stronger by stealing abilities from the gods and call it magic…And passing it on to their children.
This might come as a shock to you little bro, but it turns out that mom and dad were a part of the Looming Shadow and they gave us their magic."
"Can you teach me? I need to learn as soon as possible."
"Yeah sure? But if you don't mind me asking, what's the rush?"
Cera was genuinely concerned by the clear desperation that Evan was showing.
"Like I said…it's a long sto-"
"Supposedly, once he learns this new power the mysterious time traveler will bring back our daughter.
And when that happens I'm going to kill them and take her back myself."
Sadako cut straight to the point as always.
"Time traveler? So you were serious about that?
And did you say daughter? So then I'm an aunt?"
"Yes."
"Well then, let's get to it shall we? Time's a wastin'."
Cera jumped down from the rock she was resting on, the sand wafted into the air like a giant cloud.
"How long do you think it will take for me to master it?"
Evan asked.
"If we're lucky? At least a year."
Cera had walked up to Evan and pinched his cheeks for some reason.
"That's way too long."
