This was a grand tournament held by the 3 great sects every year since the past few millennium's. The three sects were

The Ancient sect
These three sects were started by the past powerhouses who were at Legendary realm before ascending to the Immortal realm and moving on to the Immortal realm. That might not necessarily be the case if they want to stay in the mortal realm they could But only a few stay because the higher the realms the better the resources.
Now there was the finals was going on it was between it was the immortal sect Vs the immortal sect, the flying sword sect lost the match by the slightest bit yesterday.
The finals was between a boy and a girl the boy was Li Que who fought yesterday and the latter was Sun xiwi who was very arrogant and advanced to the finals without fighting they belonged to the immortal and ancient sect.
At the same time origin was still sleeping and was opening space rifts and moving unconsciously. A portal opened up near the earth's atmosphere and origin came out of it still sleeping and he was falling to the earth's surface like a meteor.
