The nurse helped Xiyan to her bed and placed the medical patches she threw off in her rampant frenzy earlier while Xiyan stayed obediently on her bed.
Soon after she asked the head nurse, " Excuse me, sorry to ask you this but why am I here?"
The head nurse was obviously disgruntled by Xiyan's forgetful behaviour but remembered the Chen family's link to the hospital as shareholders and only sighed, "You were in the rain for too long and caught a fever. You were in a comatose state for four days because the illness was too late-recognised."
Xiyan wore an understanding expression while thinking of this incident, in her previous life, she waited after school in the rain to be picked up because she lent her umbrella to Mu Tian but in the end had to walk home as her family were busy and their driver was with her father. Two days later she found out she was suffering with a major fever.
'I did so much for you, Mu Tian, but not in this life and never again.' An evil smirk graced Chen Xiyan's lips, completely creeping out the nurses beside her.
The nurses hastily excused themselves as Chen Xiyan fell into processed everything. She quickly grabbed the document at the front of her bed and read the date, according to the document she was around the age of sixteen.
Sixteen years old was really good. She was still able to control the situation.
As she was still in deep thought a knock at the door awakened her from her daze as a familiar sight approached her.
Her mum and dad.
Her mother was still alive. Chen Xiyan was overwhelmed as tears swelled in her eyes. "Mum...", her voice was still hoarse as she quickly tried to stand up but her mother ushered her back down to the bed.
"How are you feeling?" Her mother softly asked, hearing about the panic Chen Xiyan awoke with.
Chen Xiyan smiled, "I'm okay." She still felt lost. Was she really sure this was real? Was her mother actually standing in front of her.
In her stupor, Chen Xiyan's father, Chen Jue tapped her head, "how could you forget to notice me" he whimpered. Chen Jue has always been far too much of a softie. Little would you know when looking at this sight was that he was once a renowned lawyer in the judicial circle. He left his job for the family and became a house husband. However, if mother's company ever suffered any issues, he would always support at the front lines.
"Where's Zhou?" I pull myself out of my reminiscence.
My mother sighed, "He's... well you know how he is..."
'What'
'How is he like'
With my curious stare, my mother continued, "He's gone to City C with butler Fu, demanding in looking for that Jiu girl he always dreams about."
'WHAT'
'He could t possibly mean her? Ye Jiu?'
Just thinking of the girl that ruined her life filled Chen Xiyan with hate. However, soon after she sighed and rolled her eyes, " It can't be..."
