It all started when Kyorkuna stood up from his clearing within a cherry blossom grove, petals falling while blowing in the wind as a tingling pain was spreading across his body, and a loud bell ringing in his ears.
"The day has finally come" Kyo says looking into the distant sky eyes filled with a burning desire. "I was beginning to wonder when that Old Hermit would come back."
In the distance a vortex started to form and was beginning to radiate massive amounts of foreign energy, as a small white mass was descending.
"That Old Hermit is such a show off making such a grand entrance." "Yet he still expects to go unnoticed." Kyo said as the white mass suddenly disappeared from sight.
"Hello Kyo how is my little protege doing on this fine evening?" The Old Hermit says while eyeing his student tentatively as if looking intentionally for something to criticise.
"Old Hermit I thought you wanted to lay low to keep people from knowing you exist." Kyo sighed while throwing his Soulsteel dagger at his master.
"Ah don't be such a poor sport. I don't get to visit the Realm Of Mortals very often, and stop calling me "Old Hermit" my name is Abraxas how many times must I repeat this for you to understand?!" Abraxas says as the previously violent wind calms to an eerily whisper like tune drifting through the clearing. Glaring at his brash student. Grabbing the dagger as if it was thrown by a child.
"Who's being a poor sport now "Abraxas"?" Kyo states with rolling sarcasm. "Have you finally come to hold true on your promise?"
"But of course impatient one I always hold true on my promises but you mustn't forget yours for this deal to work" He says as he starts walking back to where the vortex is.
"Let's chat and catch up while we set this world on a new path. Now if I remember correctly Kyo from our previous conversation your world is filled with QI correct and you mortals fight against time by absorbing it?" Abraxas says while pulling a fruit from the void. It is slightly translucent with fire coiling inside it.
" What a surprise you actually listened. Yes we CULTIVATE the Qi that passes between heaven and earth to refine our spirit, bodies and dantians." 'What is this old man up to by asking this question he already knows the answer'. As they approach the vortex the wind picks up and a distant humming can be heard.
" Well my prodigious pupil I ask this as you will come to soon find out your 'Qi' will disappear. As for our deal to work and for you to have new excitement within your pseudo immortal life I need to change the way your world itself works." He says while taking a big bite of the fruit. Although he took a bite, it didn't look like the fire within changed as if that piece had no effect on its power.
" I figured as much as Qi itself may sound omniscient but it can't touch the void. So what do you plan on doing to remove the Qi." Curiously he asks while still staring at the fruit as if to try to understand its origins. 'We are almost at the vortex hopefully he doesn't take too long to explain. The suction force is getting stronger the closer we get'
" Well first I will make this spacial tear larger as I'm sure you can feel the Qi in the area already becoming thinner. Especially if you're as talented as you claim to be." He looks up as they are now beneath the 'tear' as the vortex was caused by the Qi being sucked away. He drops the fruit and reaches out his hands towards the tear and grabs at something. The suction starts to grow stronger as he grabs and pulls the sides apart.
"Wait is this going to hurt? It slipped my mind that I am filled with Qi." Kyo looks pale upon realizing his soon to be agonizing fate. "Surely not…. R-Right?" The anxiety is obvious on his face. "Right Abraxus?" He asks staring at the horrible smile starting to spread across Abraxus's face.
" Hehe too late to turn back now are you having second thoughts?" He starts to laugh wildly wild pulling harder against the edges of the tear relishing in the pain he's going to inflict on his annoying pupil.
" I KNEW IT YOU'RE CERTIFIABLY INSANE YOU OLD COOT! COULDN'T YOU AT LEAST PUT ME TO SLEEP OR NUMB ME FIRST" He screams as he starts to feel the Qi in his meridians and dantian start to be pulled away. Following which came his agonizing scream as it felt like his dantian was being torn to shreds. His meridians began to swell as the force of the qi being pulled out only grew the larger the tear became.
" You have only figured this out now? HAHAHA it should've been obvious that pain would be accompanied with the procedure as I'm taking away something attached to your very being. Alas it looks like you may be talented in cultivation but you seem to be lacking in the intelligence department." He pulls harder until the previous 10 meter tear has now become 1 kilometer. The suction now instantly clearing the surrounding 5 kilometers of qi and still continues to pull qi from further away.
Kyo tries to speak through the pain as he feels his consciousness slipping " AGH Fuck you you old coot this kind of disturbance won't go ACK un-unnoticed I'm sure you've attracted those two fac-ed snakes." As he finished saying that 3 people crash landed nearby after getting to close to the vortex and having their qi pulled away. "Speak of GUH the devils and they HNN shall appear."
A blonde girl, a ginger man and black haired man all laid on the ground face full of dirt as their face turned ashen realizing their fate.
" KYORKUNA YOU BASTARD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, AND WHO IS THIS?!" The blonde girl screams as the pain starts to visibly build on her face.
" My My who's this sharp tongued child. Dearest my name is Abraxus and it will do you kind to learn it well. Now stop speaking and let me finish my job." He says with obvious disdain for her first impression. Now ripping the tear harder than before as if to punish her for showing up here without permission. The tear is now 3 kilometers wide
" Who are you to AgH speak to me that way." She says as she now has a new target to vent her frustration towards she can feel centuries of hard work vanishing with every breathe.
" Layla shut up already you are making this worse for everyone" The Black haired man said through hoarse breaths. His breathing ragged as his pain intensifies the more the tear grows.
" Mitsuri why are you taking his side?! He's the one causing this devestation" Layla says trying her best to look at him through her agonized twitches.
" Your friend is right 'Layla' it would do you justice to not question your benefactor. Kyo here has made a deal with me. I intend to hold up that deal" Abraxus says with clear annoyance. The tear now spanning 10 Kilometers.
"Now who's this quiet young fellow? He seems to be the only smart one among you lot for not immediately attacking me with a sharp tongue." He asks while taking a disdainful glance towards the ginger individual on the ground.
Mitsuri looks terrified by the implications said within Abraxus's words. "His name is Nova he's a mute. So it's useless to try and get him to speak." He says while Nova looks at him. "It was a courtesy bestowed by Kyorkuna."
"My my Kyo you seem to be quite the popular individual with this party." Abraxus says while smiling mischievously at Kyo. "Now what did he do to 'Earn' that courtesy."
Kyo looks pensive trying to find a way to make it sound less aggravated. "He asked far to many questions and got too close to my secrets, and since I couldn't kill him without being crippled I did him a favor."
Nova glares at Kyo while his face contorts from the pain. The humming from the tear now almost deafening and the words being said are becoming muddled.
"Well I'm almost finished anyways, and since you are all here you might as well get the same benefit as my dearest 'Protege'" he says smiling happily at Kyo doing so just to torment him. "Our deal was that He must give me a proper sacrifice of a planets power. In this case he signed away your planets "qi" in exchange i bestow a new power upon your world." He slowly drops his hands as the tear is now 100 kilometers wide. "You should feel it the foreign energy seeping out of the tear while your qi is being sucked away."
" WHAT DOES YOUR DEAL HAVE TO DO WITH US WHY IMPLICATE THE ENTIRE WORLD?!" Layla screams as her anger is growing to new heights feeling the last of her cultivation slipping away.
" This should be a joyous occasion for you lot as I'm bestowing pure laws into the world. Which your world seemed to lack complete ones. Think of this as a boon to your powers." Abraxus says as he watches greedily as the qi is being sucked dry throughout the world. The 9 Continents now in turmoil as they feel the qi being sucked away from everything. " Now since you are all here I will give you the same opportunity as Kyo here you will get the option between the different laws. I will give you time to choose, and also give you some time to practice it before I bestow everyone in your world with a law."
" Laws? What does he mean Kyorkuna? Do you know what he's speaking of?" Mitsuri asks as a flurry of emotions well up inside him from the sheer craziness of it all.
" Laws are the fundamentals of reality itself Mitsuri. You will see as you got lucky to steal the same opportunity I have." Kyo says while standing up as the pain subsided with the last of his qi disappearing.
" Kyo is right my young oaf you will be given a law of your choosing and how you master it will be up to you, but the way you use it will be uniform. Every living being in this world will be bestowed an aptitude and law. Red being the lowest it can be and Amethyst being the highest it can be." The foreign energy is now gushing out of the tear replacing where the qi once held. " Just in case you don't understand how this works I will explain it simply the tiers are as follows "

Abraxus says absentmindedly as a wave of relaxation fell over him feeling the familiar laws filling the world.
"Your laws will start from specks or points if you will. They will then form strands, then fibers. Up until you can create your own domain. Now the laws will reside within you just like qi but won't be circulated the same way. The more you have the better as you can exert influence around you depending on how much you control. Let me give a run down on how it works."

After this point condensing more strings has no other affect other than strengthening your core so you can either stop or continue to condense them. This is all I will tell you for now seeing as you are all fine let's get into the choosing of your laws." Abraxus says yawning as if telling them all this basic information was so boring that he could fall asleep at any moment.
" Kyo you're up first." He Grabs Kyo by the shoulder and flies up to the tear then walks through with him.
The tear was no longer humming as the foreign energy was no longer gushing out. Inside the tear looked like a vast cosmos with endless galaxies in sight with no end or beginning.
" So how does this work Abraxus? Or do you want to continue being enigmatic." Kyo says in shock at what he was seeing around him. A Comet flying by heading towards some distant galaxy.
"Always the impatient one I see well enough of the secrets. I will send your consciousness into a separate plane and you will be given options based off your affinities. Choose whatever stands out to you but know this there are tiers to these laws."

"Where am I? Right he said I needed to choose but where are the laws?" As he finished saying that tens of specks came into his view with a myriad of colors. Some bigger than others some smaller. As he starts moving to look at them he got close to a small light blue one and his consciousness almost froze. " Ah so this one must be ice but what are the others?" He begins to walk up and down the rows looking at each one. There's several red ones of varying sizes one was 1 cm and another was 10 cm in size. "They all look the same just different colors ugh he should given me a cheat sheet that stingy bastard." He though to himself as he passed one in particular that caught his eye it was mostly black with hints and hues of pink and purple. As he reached out to grab it he felt pressure building around him as if his consciousness was sinking.
