Kakashi didn't know how long it had been but he was almost certain that he wouldn't survive. When he woke up to a completely unfamiliar room, his first instinct was to search the place. It had an unfamiliar scent and Kakashi didn't know what his kidnapper wanted. All he remembered was the fuzzy details of some annoying tiger demon brats declaring war with his clan on their turf. His clansmen weren't around and Kakashi was more than capable of dealing with several punks a few hundred years younger than him.
What the alpha werewolf failed to consider was the fact that these tiger demons weren't ordinary school delinquents with watered-down supernatural blood. They were part of the yakuza of another province on a school trip looking for trouble. The alpha wolf wasn't expecting them to come armed or sneak in an attack to take him out mercilessly. These kids were also well-informed about a werewolf's regeneration abilities so they used a damned silver dinner knife to stick him.
Of course, Kakashi didn't kill them but he disabled them for life before making his getaway. He contacted Ino and Sai and was waiting for them to find him but somehow couldn't make it to the meeting point. He collapsed a few streets away in an alley from blood loss. He didn't know what happened after that and was extremely cautious.
While looking around at the sparsely furnished tiny apartment, Kakashi heard his stomach grumble. He blushed a little and started rummaging around for anything to eat. His clothes were nowhere to be found and what he was wearing smelled strongly like the owner of this house. He didn't know where his wallet was either or where he was to locate a convenience store. Kakashi did glance outside the window briefly but he only saw some rather old housing complexes. With no clue about his location and situation, the alpha werewolf didn't dare make any rash moves.
Thankfully, there were some fruits in the fridge when he raided it. Whoever the owner was, they believed in a rather healthy diet. Kakashi was dying for some meat but beggars couldn't be choosers. After eating his fill, the werewolf decided to try and find out more about the house owner's identity. The apartment was very tiny but also seemed very homey. Whoever saved him didn't feel like a bad person. However, that didn't mean he could let down his guard.
"Drawing? What are these? They look terrible," Kakashi smirked in amusement at the drawings in crayons pasted all over the walls. He was too preoccupied earlier with other thoughts that he didn't notice it before.
The drawings looked like they were made by a three-year-old and Kakashi couldn't help but think that this house's owner had a terrible at sense but after looking through five drawings, he noticed that the styles were too different. Indeed, they weren't drawn by the same person. It wasn't until he chanced upon one work that had some terribly scrawn words of thanks to teacher Umino.
"So the owner is a teacher..." Kakashi mused. His saviour was certainly an interesting person and the werewolf quickly dismissed the threat. The owner of this house couldn't be a trained assassin or spy. He also smelled completely human. Whoever Umino sensei was, he was definitely a kind-hearted fool who would take in a suspicious character to his home and nurse back to health. Kakashi wasn't a stray pup, he was a grown alpha. Umino sensei was in for a surprise.
After finding his clothes hanging on the washing line, Kakashi took it down and quickly changed out of his borrowed clothes. There really wasn't a lot to do in the tiny apartment so Kakashi decided to kill time by cleaning the place a little and doing chores while going through some of Iruka's more personal documents. He found a picture of the teacher with his graduated students from last year and felt a strange tugging in his chest.
"He really looks kind," Kakashi commented to nobody in particular and smiled. Umino Iruka was a very interesting person and the werewolf wondered if he should continue pretending to be an injured patient in the teacher's house just to get better acquainted with him. The amnesia story would be very convenient and with that, the alpha formulated a plan.

Iruka sighed and massaged his shoulders. Thankfully, it was Friday. Many parents were able to fetch their children before the closing time and Iruka was able to leave earlier than usual. His co-worker was left to do the closing as repayment for the favour Iruka did for him earlier that week. It had been nearly four days since he rescued the handsome stranger but the man showed no signs of awaking even if his wound was healing very well.
Iruka stopped by the supermarket to get the groceries he needed. So far, he had been feeding the unconscious man out of his personal pocket and the teacher didn't need a reminder about the stock in his fridge. The strange albino had many moments of sleep talking but Iruka couldn't put together any useful information other than how tough life must have been for this man.
Since it was a Friday and Iruka didn't have to work on weekends, he thought that he would buy something fancier. The teacher had an inkling that his guest would be waking up soon and if he did, the teacher would throw a hotpot party. For the last few days, the handsome guest had only been living off watery porridge since Iruka couldn't feed him anything else.
Iruka returned just in time to make dinner preparations and hummed happily while fishing for his keys. After he entered his home and toed his shoes off at the entrance, the teacher immediately noticed something off.
Where was the wounded man? Instead of seeing the familiar guest on the mattress with his eyes closed, the mattress was empty with only a folded blanket and the clothes he lent the man. His house was tidy and the laundry that was waiting for him to take down was now folded nicely on the only sofa he had.
Panic seized the teacher. It might not be a robbery but what happened to the stranger? Did he leave? Iruka dropped the groceries and went to check the bathroom but nobody was there. Disappointed that he couldn't even ask for the stranger's name and have some of his questions answered, he sighed. Would it hurt to receive some thanks?
As he left the bathroom, someone snuck up from the side and pinned both wrists above his head with one hand. The other hand was at his neck, adding pressure enough to hurt but not suffocate just yet.
"Why did you save me?" the assailant growled.
Iruka's eyes were wide in surprise and shock. The handsome stranger hadn't left. However, the situation that they were in was also not good. This man was dangerous and Iruka wanted to cry. Would it really hurt to receive some thanks?
"I just couldn't ignore it!" he squeaked in fear as the stranger glared at him threateningly. The grip on his neck tightened a little and Iruka trembled, closing his eyes helplessly, trying not to cry.
Instead of feeling his windpipe getting crushed, the grip loosened and the hand that held his wrists let go. Without anything holding him up, Iruka's legs gave way and the teacher collapsed into a heap on the floor. Kakashi stared at this strange man before him.
Umino sensei was very cute and Kakashi confirmed his suspicions. This human was his mate. From the moment they locked eyes, Kakashi wanted to mark him and pour his seed inside of this man. The teacher was the very definition of an angel but Kakashi thought he was a rather strange one as well.
"Didn't anyone teach you to mind your own business?" the werewolf's words came out sounding harsher than he intended for them to be.
Iruka shivered under the scrutinising gaze. He was severely regretting his actions. Maybe he should have just called for an ambulance the other day instead... why did he always have to shoot himself in the foot?
"I'm sorry... before I could think of something, you were already in my house. If I called for the ambulance, they might have assumed I did it."
Kakashi raised a brow. "We don't know each other, why would they assume that?"
An appetising blush spread from the tip of Iruka's ears all the way down his neck and the teacher averted his gaze. In the smallest voice, he answered.
"Because everyone knows that I'm gay."
