The Fool... He flipped a card. Charles found his life flipped, the local police had asked him to work on a case. It was a double homicide the perp had killed his girl friend and then himself after setting his home on fire. The police wanted to know why? This was not the first one but a series of killings that had made for some gruesome news. Charles was a striking man with auburn hair parted to the side who looked more like someone meant to be in film rather than at this place of macabre horror. Burnt embers and the smell of decay slowly starting to waft. The smell of decay was not the normal scent- new dead but the supernatural; a ghoul or some other unpleasant variety. His brow furrowed his eyes a hazel green with thick eyelashes coming in almond slants a mix of Irish and Asian American. His voice was cultured from his time in England where he studied at Oxford. His hair had flecks of gold in it that caught the light. A small glint of silver caught the light and a hint of blue. Charles showed up in pressed suits reminiscent of noir films of 1950's his hair combed in a part an icy cool character of man. His bow lips pursed in thought. He always looked serious. He grew up under the care of strict parents.
He rummaged through his pockets and pulled out his glasses for a closer look at things. He told me he had done a reading before and he wasn't to happy things were dangerous could be political. Those words will put a chill on anyone's back. The man had been mysteriously laid off, no money, his girl with medical bills he took them out of the picture. This how one suppose escaping debt but so many. An elaborate sacrifice? Moveable people taking people out of there jobs and moving them out of there homes changing the demographics of a nation. While people shudder in fear trying to make ends meet or go to crime again pushing choices.
The focus changing going to school and having student debt, working and getting laid off mysteriously. Jobs not being many Charles shuddered a breath. He was pushed into this job since he was little. He came from a family that had migrated due to oppression but still had spiritual ties to both lands. Strangely enough psychic detectives were needed. Malls taking over cemeteries as well as developments agencies needed spiritual cleaners.
Charles was brought in on this case because this was the seventh and they happen to fall on spiritual holidays. Too much hate or bullying was another factor taking over the work place and things were getting uglier. The old saying misery loves company bringing in misery from home or just attacking that coworker who had death in the family cause there too depressing. The scent of blood in the water the means girls and guys in high school that never grew up now in a mini high school setting of cliques that you thought were over just the tip of the iceberg.
Unfortunately high school bullying or bullying never goes away. It's something as a culture that needs to be addressed. It change from predatory boyfriends that coworker that happens to notice you and ask you out but is dating a few other coworkers beside you. The work place is dangerous. This man took himself out and his girl. The horrors are real guard your heart and take a mantra to hold you stead fast.
