"Your name will be big pillow slime," said Dean while smiling.
Then Sys said, "That sounds lame. Don't you have any better name?"
"Well~ I don't have a good naming sense. I think that sounds fine. Simple and straightforward." After Dean said that, he asked Sys to create the new slime, big pillow slime.
"Okay, next will be combination between slime core and water absorb skill," said Dean.
Dean wanted to try every possible combination and thus he chose the elite grade purple slime core and water absorb skill as add-on. The result was disappointing. The two combinations produce the same set of skills as pillow slime but with the appearance of purple slime. In other words, a purple slime with more skills. Nothing special about it even from the descriptions. So, Dean decided to not create this one.
Dean move on to the combination between elite grade kilo slime core and the water absorb skill. There was no change in appearance for the kilo slime. It loses the bounce skill and learned water absorb. Again, Dean decided not to create this.
Then, Dean try the combination between elite grade pillow slime core and water absorb skill. Just like previous combination, it retained the same appearance but the water absorb skill was upgraded to water absorb II. It was good that the skill upgrade but if there was no change in appearance, there was no point to Dean.
Dean realized that he wanted many different slime based on its appearance so that people will know there were many types of slime. Without changing in appearance, people won't know especially those with slime compatibility.
In the end, Dean decided not to create another slime. He now understood that whatever he added will create something new but that did not mean their appearance will be different. Dean learned more and more about the monster creation.
Dean suddenly realized something. If what he wanted was based on its appearance then, there was one slime he rejected before. The hair clip slime. Although the slime did not learn any new technique, it does have different appearance. It was minor but it was still fine for him.
He needed to become strong so he can't be choosy about what he got. So, Dean decided to create the hair clip slime and named it the butterfly clip slime. He used the elite grade pink slime core as the core and the slime was the pink slime wearing the butterfly clip.
He did not make the brown colored kilo slime because that will be just color difference and he already made the normal slime like that.
Now Dean had four more new slime he can hunt. The rabbit coat slime, the rubber slime, the big pillow slime and the butterfly clip slime. He believed that the two new slime will be easy to find because the pink slime and pillow slime can easily be found in the prairie.
After he finished everything, Dean closed the monster creation menu and looked up to the sky and he sighed. He needed to find more material for the monster creation if he wanted to create more. Dean already thought what he wanted to hunt next. He needed to hunt more different kind of monster.
He remembered that there was a special rabbit in the prairie that can be found early in the morning. The bloom rabbits. He thought he should hunt that first. Other than the bloom rabbit, there were also the magpie and sparrow but these two were hard to hunt thanks to their ability to fly.
There were also some other monsters that will be impossible for Dean to hunt due to too many people hunting them. All those monsters were quite rare and many people's compatibility were related to them. Since Dean came to the first dimension, he never once found any of these rare monsters. He did read in the forum that some people found them.
He thought that he had enough of rest and decided to continue training the heavy tackle skill. Soon, it will be summer vacation. The summer vacation was weirdly long after the earth change. Due to the days and month change in one year and the discovery of the dimension, school gave a lot of holiday.
For summer holiday, it was for 4 months. Only the first month of summer was school day and the rest of the summer months were school holiday. There was a reason for long period of holiday. The school wanted to give time for their students to train hard in the dimension. School took most of their time and the long holiday was meant to help the students got back their time spent at school for their strengthening in the dimension.
In 3 days, the school summer holiday will start. That meant, Yuri will be home most of the time. Dean did not know Yuri's habit of going to the first dimension. He never saw her going to the first dimension using the teleporter at home.
Dean sighed thinking that he might see Yuri most of the time during the summer holiday. It was still really awkward between them. Dean hoped that Yuri will go to the first dimension and spent most of her time there.
Summer 34th – Month 1 – Year 2001
School summer holiday started. Just like what Dean hoped, Yuri told him that she will spend all the summer holiday in the first dimension. She won't come back until the holiday end. Dean was happy to hear that. Yuri left home after that. Just like he thought before, Yuri did use another teleporter.
Summer 22nd – Month 2 – Year 2001
Dean finally finished learning both the heavy tackle and water absorb yesterday. He thought it will take him almost two months to learn the skill but he learned it in less than a month. Dean finished learning the heavy tackle first before the water absorb. He focused all that time after that for water absorb.
Luckily both skill limit at level 10 and that meant he did not need to use the limit breaker crystal to reached the max level limit. It will take time for the upgrade to finished and Dean did not want to waste time on that.
He checked on his stat and he was happy that both heavy tackle and water absorb skill was registered as his skill. He can fight better than before. He already thought the combo he wanted to try with the three skills and eager to go.
Dean went to the first dimension early in the morning. There was a reason why he went there early, he wanted to hunt the bloom rabbit. The bloom rabbit can only be found early in the morning and they were quite rare too.
Bloom rabbit was a monster with big single flower on their back. They were as agile as their normal rabbit counterpart and they did not have any skill too. What was special about them was the flower on their back. It was used as potion ingredients.
There were many types of flower on their back. Different flower meant that it was a different species of bloom rabbit. It was summer and that meant only flower that can be found during summer can be found on the bloom rabbit.
Dean's aim was to get as many flowers as possible from the bloom rabbit. All those different flowers will be good as his slime add-on. Dean knew the bloom rabbit was rare but he did not want to give up on it. Not many people went out hunting so early in the morning and that meant Dean had a chance to find a few of the bloom rabbit.
Once he woke up, Dean took a shower and went to the first dimension and straight to the prairie to hunt some bloom rabbit. When Dean arrived at the prairie, he can see from far that there were quite a few people on the prairie. They were all hunting for slime.
The hype for slime was still going strong. There were too many people hunting it during the day thus he can understand that some people went hunting at night. Just like what Dean thought before, the big pillow slime and the butterfly clip slime can be found in the prairie. News about them came out a day after Dean created them.
Dean walked around the prairie to find the bloom rabbit. Due to his experience hunting rabbit a few months ago, Dean knew exactly where a rabbit will spawn. He did not know whether the bloom rabbit will spawn at the same place but they were rabbit and it was possible.
Dean went to one of the spawn areas he knew a rabbit will come out. While walking to the area, he saw two guys was hunting some monsters too. Nothing weird about them as there were many people dean saw on the way there.
A few minutes later, Dean arrived at the area. He looked around the area if he can find any bloom rabbit. He activated his map function and detected some common rabbit in the rabbit. Dean detected one lone monster. He smiled because it was possible that that lone monster was the bloom rabbit.
He did not waste much time and went to that lone monster immediately. Even if he managed to kill it, it did not mean he will get the item dropped and thus he did not want to let someone else killed it. Once Dean was closed to that lone monster, he walked slowly.
Dean knew how good a rabbit ear was. He had plenty painful experience dealing with rabbit and once the rabbit knew he was nearby, it will immediately run away. The bloom rabbit was not much different than the rabbit physically thus it might act the same.
He looked at the direction where the map detected the lone monster. Dean saw the monster and he smile. It was indeed a bloom rabbit.
The bloom rabbit Dean found was white with pink flower on its back. It was dark and he can't properly see what flower it was. Dean took deep breath.
The bloom rabbit was a normal grade monster as indicated by the yellow dot on the map. That meant Dean who was an elite grade can out speed the bloom rabbit if it ran away. Dean agility was 6.7 and a normal grade monster peak agility was 3. This will be an easy hunt.
Once Dean found his chance, he quickly ran towards the rabbit and stabbed its body with his dagger. The rabbit did not manage to evade because Dean was too fast and Dean was ambushing the bloom rabbit. The bloom rabbit died with single stab and Dean was happy with that. Dean did not even need to use his skills.
'Normal grade Pink Cosmos bipinnatus bloom rabbit killed. Gained pcb bloom rabbit core' the system notified Dean. Dean head dropped when he found out he failed to get the item dropped. However, he was happy that he can easily killed a rabbit unlike before. His eyes lit with fire and Dean went to hunt for more bloom rabbit after he registered the pcb bloom rabbit core.
The flower on the bloom rabbit he found was the pink Cosmos bipinnatus or commonly known as garden cosmos. Garden cosmos can be found in crimson, pink and white. They were not a big flower but when it got on the bloom rabbit it became big.
Dean went searching for more bloom rabbit. He did not target the same bloom rabbit as there were too many kinds of them but if he found the same one, he will be more than happy to kill it again.
After that, Dean found few more bloom rabbits with the same flower but with the other color. However, he was a bit unlucky and did not get the item dropped but he was more than happy to confirm that the spawn area he currently on will spawn the Cosmos bipinnatus bloom rabbit.
