"No need."
Daemon blinks. "What do you mean 'no need'?"
Daemon had decided it was time to try and get Kyouya to activate his Flames. It's much better to do it in a controlled setting, especially with someone as powerful as the Skylarks tend to be. Plus, bonus, Kyouya has enough Mist flickers inside him that if Daemon works at it slowly, the brat could manifest indigo instead of violet.
Alaude would turn over in his grave and it would be glorious.
"I don't need an Incendiary Defence when I have tonfas," Kyouya explains slowly. "You need the fire because you're weak and need extra protection. I'm strong enough that I can devour any carnivore that I want."
"First of all, you scare me," Daemon is man enough to admit. "Second of all, do you think Reborn – The World's Greatest Hitman – is weak?"
"Who's Reborn?"
"…The yellow baby that you keep chasing around."
Kyouya looks considering. "You may have a point here."
Daemon smirks, wondering what Alaude is going to say when Kyouya puts out Mist flames.
"But I don't want purple," Kyouya continues.
"Indigo," Daemon adds on automatically.
"I think I want black," Kyouya murmurs.
Daemon hesitates. "Actually, black is kind of an icky colour so perhaps –"
Kyouya explodes with Flames of Night and the very fabric of reality is forcefully and violently ripped open due to sheer will power.
.
Daemon stares and Kyouya just blinks up at him, petting the small bunny he found on the other side of the black portal. The bunny has eight glowing white eyes and its fur is a radioactive green. Don't forget the horns. The bunny has horns.
Several of them.
Daemon takes a deep breath and pushes through the insanity that threatens to creep up on him. "Look, I don't know where your portal lead, but please never do that again. For the love of whatever God you subscribe to, pick another colour. A colour in the rainbow."
Kyouya pouts. "But I can keep Hibunny, right?"
The bunny's eight eyes blink, just varied enough that it ends up as a random sequence rather than a synchronised blink. It also pokes out a tri-forked tongue and hisses.
"Actually," Daemon murmurs. "I think it would be best for everyone if we kil-"
Kyouya's bottom lip wobbles.
"Yeah, okay, whatever," Daemon sighs heavily, throwing up his hands. "I don't even care anymore. Just keep it away from me."
Kyouya never does pick a colour but several odd bunnies start popping up around the house. Daemon thinks Kyouya might be amassing an army.
Oh, wait a second.
Kyouya already has an army.
.
"That is-" Hayato breathes deep, eyes looking a little crazy.
Tsuna rubs calming circles into his back.
"That is not how flames work," Hayato hisses. "Not. How. That. Works."
"You'll get used to it soon," Takeshi laughs.
"Fuck you!" Hayato shrieks, full on hysterical. "Fuck all of you fucks!"
"Children shouldn't swear," Daemon reminds the little Italian.
"You're dead," Hayato cries. "Fuck you especially!"
Mukuro tilts his head to the side. "I mean…I don't disagree with him."
.
A giant black portal opens up in Reborn's living room.
"What have you done now?" Colonnello asks mildly from the couch beside the hitman.
"Nothing that the Vindice can prove," Reborn answers cautiously.
A stuffed chameleon toy arcs through the portal and lands on the ground in front of Reborn, very obviously connected to fishing wire.
Reborn looks at the toy and then looks at Colonnello.
"You deserve whatever happens to you," the blond deadpans.
"Don't tell the others," Reborn demands.
"I am immediately telling the others."
Reborn frowns at him. It's not like anyone can stop him though, even if they were here. The hitman hops off the couch and wanders towards the portal. When he gets too close they toy is yanked back through the whirling black hole.
"Can I have your hat when you die?" Colonnello lazily asks while texting the Arcobaleno.
"Bury all of my things with me," Reborn retorts. "The lackey as well. I want him alive when you shut my tomb."
"That'll fly well with Lal."
Reborn tips his hat at the other and gets a half-assed salute in response.
The hitman hops through the portal and lands on a quiet suburban street. His eyes the string attached to the toy down the sidewalk and around a corner into some bushes which rustle occasionally despite no wind.
Reborn raises an eyebrow but he honestly has nothing planned for today. He reaches for the toy but it's quickly pulled further away. He walks forward and continues the little play, eventually ending up standing right in front of the bushes.
Reborn is actually not expecting about fifty small children to spring from the garden and behind the house, all of them clutching netting and with determined expressions on their faces. He's tempted to just let them win and see where it goes, but he is the world's greatest hitman and he does not get kidnapped.
At least not without a hefty bribe.

Omake – Language Barriers
"You think you're funny, Acobreno herbivore?" Kyouya snaps at Reborn after discovering his captured prey is actually just Skull dressed up as the hitman.
"Arcobaleno," Mukuro corrects.
"Ac-Arcobreno," Kyouya stutters.
"Arcobaleno," Mukuro says again, patiently.
"Acro - Arcobreno," Kyouya tries, looking annoyed. "Arcobareno," he finishes with and glances at Mukuro to check.
"Arcobaleno," the Kcl Part Two says simply.
"Arcobraeno- bleno-" Kyouya scowls and pegs a tonfa at Reborn, even angrier then he was at the start. "You think you're funny, herbivore?!"
