The night of the ball.
In Dain's palace.
All of the family members went to their rooms. Nada also went in her room.
She was closing the door when someone pushed it open. And that someone was Theo.
Nada looked up at him confused.
"What?" she said.
"What, What? I have to sleep," replied Theo.
"But this is my room," said Nada.
Theo gently pushed her aside and opened the door wider to let him in. He closed the door after entering. He sat himself on the couch in the room and said,
"Your brother showed me to this room earlier. And also all the other rooms are occupied."
"So you can sleep with Adler," said Nada.
"I'm not sleeping with that baby. He kicks in his sleep," replied Theo making an annoyed face.
"Then go and sleep with Anas in his room," said Nada.
"No I am not sleeping with my bro-in-law," said Theo nonchalantly.
"Theo go and sleep with someone else," shouted Nada.
"Are you sure about that? my lady," smirked Theo.
Nada groaned and said,
"Ok, so go and sleep with Owen bro."
"He is not alone," said Theo.
"What do you mean he is not alone?" asked Nada.
"All your brothers and cousins are sleeping with their lovely soon-to-be husbands and wives," replied Theo leaning back on the couch.
"WHAT?" whispered yelled, Nada.
"But-b-but," stuttered Nada.
"No buts. I am sleeping here and no arguments on that," Theo said.
He stood up and walked towards the bed.n He took off his shirt leaving him half-nude. Seeing him behaving like it was his room. Nada fumed up and walked up to him and scolded him,
"Hey, this is my room. And you wear your clothes."
"I sleep like this," smirked Theo.
"Jerk," Nada fumed.
"I never knew he was this shameful," said Nada.
"What did you say?" teased Theo.
"Nothing," yelled Nada at him.
"Hahahaha," Laughed Theo at her adorable reaction.
Nada went to wash her face and complete her night routine.
After some time when she returned she saw him lying on her bed in her quilt. He was doing something on his mobile.
Nada walked towards the bed and stood there. She stared at Theo.
Theo noticed someone's stare so he looked up and saw her. He smiled at her and raised an eyebrow.
"What?
"Where should I sleep?" asked Nada sarcastically.
"In my arms," said Theo opening his arms wide for her.
Nada's mouth hung open dramatically.
"Are you insane?" she said.
"Only for you," said Theo.
Nada sighed helplessly and went to the other side of the bed. She laid down and covered herself with a spare quilt she had.
Theo looked at her actions and smiled to himself.
He watched her close her eyes. He switched off the lights. He also laid himself down. He turned to her side and watched her back facing him.
He shifted closer to her and wrapped his arm around her waist.
Nada's eyes widened. Her breath hitched.
"What are you trying to do?" she whispered.
"Turn around," said Theo.
Nada shook her head.
Theo turned her around and both of them stared in each other's eyes.
"Nada sleep," said Theo as he hugged her closer.
Nada was mum for a while and then nodded her head. She hugged him and closed her eyes to sleep.
Both of them heard each other's heartbeats. They were in sync. They both were comfortable in each other's embrace.
Eventually, both drifted to sleep.
In the morning,
Nada woke up feeling refreshed. She looked to the other side of the bed and he was not there. She smiled and went to take a shower.
After showering she went downstairs. She looked in the lounge and no one was there.
'It is not eight yet. They should be sleeping.'
She thought to herself and went into the kitchen to cook a hearty breakfast.
"Good morning, Princess," said Mr Aurbery.
"Indeed Good morning. But please call me Nada," she said walking towards the fridge.
"Is there anything you need, Nada?" asked Mr Aurbery.
"Hmm, I want to prepare breakfast for everyone," replied Nada.
"Good then. I'll be just outside if you need anything call me. And all the chefs will be here (he looked at his watch and said) in five minutes, they'll help you," said Mr Aurbery.
Nada nodded at him and wore the apron. She started assembling the things she needed to make the breakfast.
Just as Mr Aurbery said, the chefs came after five minutes. They helped Nada in preparing the breakfast.
The breakfast was ready in an hour. It was eight now.
Nada heard voices outside. She came into the dining area and saw the members of three royal families chatting with each other happily.
"Good Morning," she said getting everyone's attention.
"Morning child," said the elders.
"Good morning sweetie," greeted the young people.
"Uhm, Nada do you know where is Theo?" asked Emma.
Nada shook her head.
She was going to ask Mr Aurbery when she saw him entering the dining hall from her peripheral vision.
"Morning, everyone," said Theo.
"Morning, Where were you?" asked Liam.
"I went to jog," replied Theo.
Liam nodded.
"Sit down quickly so that we can start our breakfast," said Luis.
Theo sat down beside Luis.
Everyone except Gaumonds quietened. They all looked at Theo as if they were seeing someone who was close to death.
They then glanced at Nada. And they were shocked to see her calm.
"Um Theo can you sit beside me and not there?" said Orhan.
"It's ok uncle. I'm fine here," said Theo politely.
"He is dead," whispered Silas.
Theo heard him and frowned.
"Everyone let's eat," said Nada.
She then walked to where Theo was sitting.
Theo looked surprised and confused while Dains and Ayers looked scared that she was gonna slap him or something.
But their mouths hung open when they saw her next move.
Instead of, slapping him or scolding him she pushed Theo back on the chair and sat on his lap.
She then turned to Mr Aurbery who looked as if the soul has flown out of his body and said to him,
"Please serve the breakfast."
Mr Aurbery composed himself and nodded at her.
The breakfast was served. Nada then looked up and out of habit said,
"You all should also go and eat your breakfast."
She said this to the staff working in the palace. She was a nice being who was just. So she always treated her maids and other staff with equal respect.
The servants in the Dain family ate at the same time as their employer.
"Uhm Nada. Are you comfortable like this?" asked Luis.
Nada looked at him and nodded.
"Why are you sitting on his lap?" asked Anas.
"Punishment," replied Nada.
"Punishment or reward," said Adler.
Adler earned a glare from Anas.
"Why am I punished?" asked Theo.
"You sat in her place," said Luis.
Theo raised a brow.
"Ok now eat. Food is getting cold," said Aleesa.
They all ate the first bite and stilled.
"Who cooked breakfast?" asked Noah.
"Me," replied Nada eating her breakfast.
"Wow," exclaimed Owen, Silas, and Anas.
"Wait why are you all that happy?" asked Ava.
Naira and Renee also nodded.
"Because she never cooks for anyone," replied Luis.
"The last time we ate her cooking was six years ago," replied Owen.
"Yeah, but you know what we ate her cooking the day before yesterday," bragged Aleesa.
Eleonora, Emma, and Crystal also nodded and said,
"Yes and that was a full course meal."
Noah said,
"*Humph, So what she cooked for all of us today. And don't forget she is my best friend."
All of them laughed at Noah's sour face. Nada also giggled.
She stilled when Theo whispered in her ear.
"Don't giggle like that sitting on your husband's dragon or it'll be awake."
Nada eyed him and said,
"Jerk."
Theo smiled and continued his breakfast.
"Your cooking is delicious as always. I ate your cooked meal last night and now breakfast. Can I get the special treatment of eating your hand cooked meal every day from now on?"
"Yes," replied Nada.
The love-birds were busy in their own world and the whole audience was watching them with smiling eyes.
And just like that they finished their breakfast in harmony and went to do their respective jobs.
