I decided to spend the entire morning in my usual cafe around the block of my apartment. It was a normal day, the skies are clear and there's no sign of rain anytime soon. I closed my journal and checked the time. I still have few meetings left to do before I can have time for myself again. Somehow I'm thankful that I managed to doodle a few sketches for my passion project - a manga. Being an artist sure is hard.
"Yuu-chan here's your milk tea!" the server cheerfully greets. Ai's smile matched her raven hair neatly pulled back to give her customers a good vibe.
"Thank you so much Ai-chan! Always, always saving me," I told her as I slowly take the cup from her hands. I took a sip and whew, it's really good.
"Anything for you, Yuuka. You know this is all I can do to help for you to update that portfolio of yours!" she grinned.
"Aha, ulterior motives I see," I scratched my head.
Ai nodded. "Always looking forward to your great work Yuu-chan. Send me a message right away when there's an update to that arc ne? I wanted to see how Guy can save the world!" she exclaimed her eyes sparkling.
"So you gave that one a name huh? 'Guy' I see.." I asked sipping my tea.
"It's because you won't name him!" she pouts.
I chuckled. "It's because I haven't gotten back to it yet-- oops!" I grinned.
"Mou Yuu-chan! Finish it already. We can't wait to hear from the greatest mangaka Ayu-- mmm!" I slapped my hand on her mouth before she can say another word. "Okay, so Ai-chan, can we keep this matter to ourselves - or else you won't get your update" Yuu mumbles. The crowd were looking around them but they seem normal to them.
Ai nods, wriggling her face free from Yuuka's hands. "Yes, yes I get it! Just continue already," she exclaims.
Yuuka steps back and sighs. "I'm trying. I'll let you know." I looked at my clock and noticed that I only have half an hour before the meeting. "Oh well, I'm off Ai!"
"Alright! Take care! Say hello to Guy-san for me!" Ai waved as I left the cafe. "My next destination is..." I looked around and saw the high-rise building where I'm headed to. "There we go, Carnation Tower," I muttered. "Alright, let's do this!" I exclaimed and walked towards the location. "Now what's the name of the con--oww!" I rummaged through my things and accidentally bumps into a man hurriedly walking past me.
"I'm sorry!" I bowed in apology. "What the fuck?!" the man scowled. "Watch where you're going bitch!" he exclaimed and hurried off. I kept my head down until he was out of my sight and sighed.
"Can we still save this world Guy-san? Can we?" I asked to the only remaining hope I have.
