Mo'er smiled at the boy who walked forward and pulled her sword out. The demon boy gulped and unsheathed his daggers. He knew he would lose from just the raw power Mo'er emitted. She literally threw herself towards the boy and brandished her heavy sword as if it were as light as a feather while parrying the boy's daggers right at the peak of the attack ( Basically parrying exactly at the moment where the daggers pick all the momentum and hence, power ).
The boy obviously lost in the fight and ended up suspended in the red hemispherical shield that restricted the arena space and kept him safe. She turned around to see Michalis stand alone while the two others were neatly eliminated. " Good job, makes the fight proper and enjoyable. " Sher praised him. He shrugged his shoulders in response and pulled a spear from his back. It was made by joining 4 different parts together lengthwise to form a 5 feet long spear.
Thus began an earnest fight between a sword and a spear where each move was being read, analysed, parried and countered with extreme precision as even a hair's breadth worth of error meant complete defeat. The sword was mysteriously growing hotter and hotter with time to the point it glowed red hot and was now white hot. The sword was somehow unaffected but the spear was already getting blunt and dull due to constant bombardment against a hot surface.
" What's happening? " " Simple, I am using the severe heat to wear your weapon out at a rapid pace so that I can defeat you with ease. " The fight continued as the sword literally melted the spear's tip till it became a round lump [lollipop]. But before he could smash the weapon exchange bead, It was flicked away from his hands by the forceful sword strike that forced him to dodge.
He tried to scramble towards it but then felt a sharp pain that felt as if hundreds of bees were stinging him at once. He was instantly paralysed and fell to the ground as the red shield started to envelop him. His battle dress should have completely erased the pain, so why did he feel it? The answer was simple; the pain nullification capacity of the dress wasn't infinite, hence the residual pain after the nullification was carried over to his body directly. He was lucky though, the attack only ended with pain and paralysis. It was an attack of a purple lightning of full power combined with the corrosive flame power, he could have, as well, been sautéed by the attack without the dress.
" You are quite good. I felt very happy battling you. If not for the distinctive advantage provided by my heat and lightning attacks, it would have been a rather even fight. I slowly chipped your stamina and reduced your concentration by increasing the temperature around you excessively. That led to you faltering, the weapon damage was an amusing but unintended side effect though. The reason the dress did not react to the extra heat was simple, it percieved it as an environmental change rather than an attack. The final lightning attack was to simply prevent you from taking the bead by paralysis but it straight out eliminated you. Sorry about that. " Mo'er apologised for not entertaining him long enough while he sweat bullets at her scary thoughts.
Mo'er won in her arena. She calmly moved to the audience gallery upon the direction of the staff members who congratulated her. She immediately set her sights on the arena numbered 24 only to shake her hed with a bitter smile. GUESS I UNDERESTIMATED ONEE-SAMA. SHE IS TOYING THE COMPETITORS WHILE ALL I COULD DO WAS BRUTE FORCE THE WIN, she thought.
