Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

William faced off against Theodore. The remaining group members did the same and each faced off one person, but the Valiant Eagles had one more member than the Illusion Serpents, so the remaining member was looking at all the members of the Illusion Serpents except Theodore. The two groups of delinquents were just staring at each other, as if waiting for the other group to attack first. And then- swoosh, someone from the Illusion Serpents moved, quickly, and started attacking the person in front of him. He was so quick that the person was almost unable to react. He did manage to react in time and block the attack.

He moved back and the Illusion Serpents started circling the Valiant Eagles. The Valiant Eagles were quick to respond. They made a circle formation so that all the group members faced outside. Suddenly, one of the members attacked. Bam! A direct hit! However, it did not seem to be very effective, as the Illusion Serpents were still circling the Valiant Eagles at an inhumanly fast speed.

One of the person from the Illusion Serpents suddenly attacked someone from the Valiant Eagles, and the others quickly attacked as well. It did not seem to have much effect on the Valiant Eagles. The Valiant Eagles pretty much only had one person attacking at a time, and did not seem to be doing much damage to the Illusion Serpents, either.

"Are they even fighting for real? Their attacks don't seem to be doing anything," said Courtney.

Carl shook his head. "You don't know anything, do you? Before I tell you anything, let me ask you one question. How do snakes hunt? Venomous snakes, to be precise."

"They put poison in their prey, right?"

"Right. They kill their prey slowly with venom. That's just like the Illusion Serpents. They defeat their enemies by slowly wearing them down. The reason they move so fast is to make their enemies confused, but it's more effective later in the battle."

"Ah, I see. Then what about the Valiant Eagles?"

"They're named for how they fight as well. They dive in like eagles and aim for fatal blows. It doesn't seem to be effective in this situation, but they actually have the upper hand."

"Wait, what!?"

"It's true. The Illusion Serpents are more used to battles that drag out over time, but the Valiant Eagles a are more suited for quick battles and attack with killing hits."

"Killing hits?"

"Well, not literally killing, but you get the idea."

"Oh, okay." Courtney turned back to watch the fight, but-

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

All of the 15 people that were fighting were knocked down somewhere on the ground. A boy was standing in the middle of where the two groups were fighting. He was five feet four inches tall. He was wearing a black jacket and a and cap that covered the top of his head, hiding part of his face, making him unable to be recognized by other people.

When he finally spoke, he said, "This is my territory. I will not allow anyone to cause trouble within my territory."

"Your territory?" snorted Theodore. "Who the hell are you to say such a thing?" Theodore was angered by the fact that he, who was six foot two, got knock down by someone who was only five foot four.

The boy did not get angry. Instead, he took off his cap and looked at Theodore. An intense pressure suddenly filled the room. As soon as Theodore saw the boy's face, he quickly trembled with fear and back off.

"I-I a-apologize for my a-actions. I-I b-beg your forgiveness," said Theodore in a shaky voice, trembling in fear.

The boy didn't say anything. He put his cap back on and quickly disappeared. The pressure was gone.

"Whew." Theodore breathed a huge sigh of relief.

"Who was that?" Courtney asked Carl. "How did he bring out such a huge pressure?"

"He is Asura, the school's top delinquent. They say that a powerful person can emit pressure their surroundings that can affect the others. That appears to be true," said Carl.
