Things happened so fast for me to reliazed that I am already inside our home and my thought snapped back to reality when I heard Cielo's voice echoes all over the house that comes from the kitchen and it seems he's talking to someone.
With a heavy step I followed his voice in the kitchen but halted my pace when I saw him with someone.
"She will be safe." A familiar voice said and it come from a person seated at the dinning table which her back facing at me.
"He better be good or I'll beat him!" Cielo's voice was hard and dangerous.
"Nah,He will not harm your sister."
"Not harm?"Cielo smirked as he fold his arms around his chest as he lean his back at the counter top. "I just remember He hurt my ate eight year's ago!"Cielo anger and pain was visible to his voice and it is a heart breaking seeing him like this because of me,because of me loving him.
The corners of my eyes began to sting as I hardly shut my eye's to fight back the tears.
I want to leave the past behind and forget everything!
"Ate?" Cielo's voice was out like a whisper and when I opened my eyes, He is already standing infront of me while staring at me with mixed emotions on his eyes.
"Ahm...Hi." I said shakily with a force smile on my lips that surely visible to him.
"See!" He exclaimed "She's not okey!" He was very furious as he start walking out of the kitchen and in panicking I hurriedly grabbed his wrist.
"Please!" I pleaded that stiffen him for a moment then relax after sometime and he gently envelope me into a warm hug.
"Thank you." I softly said after we break our hug.
"Are sure you are okey?" Cielo asked and he still looked worried.
"I'll be fine." I assured him but still fighting back my tears and his facial expression warmed as soon as he heard my word and softly kiss my forehead that made me smile sweetly.
It his simple way of showing his love and care for and it means a lot to me.
The warm atmosphere in the kitchen was interrupted by Cielo's grumbling stomach that made me burst into laughter.
"Im starving while waiting for you." He said when my laughing faded away and Cielo held my wrist as he lead me at the dinning table where Melissa's seated.
"You are here to watch a free show!" I teasingly said to Melissa as I sat down to the chair pulled by Cielo for me.
Melissa smirked at my words "No,Im here because of you."
"I cooked your favorite spaghetti." Cielo interrupt and racefully put down the plate of spaghetti with a garlic bread infront of me.
I grimaced and gratefully thank him.
"The food he cooked was delicous as always!" Melissa praised while munching her garlic bread.
"She sure gluton." Cielo commenting as he put down his plate down on the table and sat down on the chair opposite to me.
I nodded and start eating my spaghetti.
"Well it's free and taste good." She proudly said.Shaking my head and take some bite to my garlic bread.
"Hey!have you eaten already?" Melissa asked while raising her brows at me.
A smirked form on Cielo's lips upon hearing Melissa's word. "Trust me." He said while looking at me. "She can't eat well with that guy." He positively said and I almost choked upon hearing his word's but luckily Cielo gave me a glass of water to drink.
"Why you always choked when we talked about that guy?" Cielo curiously asked me.
Glaring at him "And why on earth you always talked about him?"I asked him but he just raised his hand as a surrender.
"Why blaming me if you the one acting weird." Cielo insisted and take his garlic bread on his mouth.
"Your brother has a point." Melissa interrupted as she turned at me.
"Eh..." I chuckled but it's comes out intentionally. "What?" I asked "Is this an interrogation? "I playfully asked and the both of them looked at me earnestly.
"You know the answer ." Melissa said with a sly smile on her lips and my face turned red.
"O'common!" I groaned and both of them burst into laughter.
Shaking my head as I watched them laughing heartily on making fun of me is made me smiled.I never seen Cielo happy like this for a while and it's a relief to see him like this.
I slowly eat my spaghetti again when I remember on something.
"By the way,why are you here early?" I asked Cielo when his laughter faded away.
"Oh,yeah about that." Cielo said as he leaned back on his chair. "The contractor came at my office early this afternoon and beg for my forgiveness."
"What is that mean?" I asked in wonder and he furrowed and lean towards me by his elbow.
"He surely afraid on someone or something if I won't forgive him." Cielo stated with curiosity on eye's." He even kneeling down on his knee for my forgiveness."
"That's too much." I blurted out in disbelief. "Did you threaten him or his family?" I Asked him suspiciously and Cielo's face turned into shocked.
"Hey!" He shouted "Do I look like a gangster to you?" Cielo confronted as he pointed himself.
"Woah...!" Melissa interrupted with a smile on her lips while looking at him. " A handsome gangster!" She tease and my eye's rolled at her.
Hearing her words,Cielo annoyance are visible on his face "Yeah!thanks for the complement!" He said and cross his arms around his chest.
"Seriously?" I asked and Melissa turned at me with a serious face.
"The question is who is behind this?" Melissa asked "And why they do that?"
I smirked at her "You mean a mystery?"
"Maybe?" Melissa shrugged her shoulders "But surely they are not an ordinary people to be afraid of."
"It doesn't make sense." I breath out and sit straight while looking to Cielos eye's.
"I honestly did nothing!" He defended, raising his black and thick brows that he inherits from our mother.
I wished,I had that one too.
I sighed and drink the glassful of water that Cielos gave to me.
"Don't you have any Idea who could do this?" Melissa asked as she turned on Cielo who put down his empty glass of soda.
Shaking his head at Melissa who's eyes are on me now.
"What?" I asked confusedly and Melissa rolled her eye's at me.
"Your the Ate so you have an idea." She said with a 'duh' looked in her face.
I snapped at her as I turned at her "I'm the Ate and not a detective."
"Maybe,I'll investigate." Cielo suggested but I felt something not good.
"No need,just let it be." I stopped him and everyone was taken aback while looking at me.
I furrowed "Let's just be careful." I stated.
Hearing my last words,we get back to our food and ate silently.
