Kailen lay on the comfortable bed staring at the ceiling of the carriage, the sun was starting to peek through the curtains enlightening the room. Black raven hair was strewn across his chest, Lana's gentle breathing tickling his nipple.
Kailen was overwhelmed with conflicting feelings regarding what occurred last night, on the one hand, he was overjoyed. Though he only grew more suspicious regarding her motivations, first buying him now this. He wasn't arrogant enough to believe that it was down to his charm, some other factors were at play. Kailen could ask her, but she would respond similarly to how she always did when the topic was raised.
If Lana's intentions were to for some reason, make him smitten with her then she was quickly succeeding. Kailen thought inwardly as he gazed at her beautiful face resting on him with a gentle smile.
Kailen cast aside his suspicions and gently stroked her smooth black hair, he wondered where their relationship would go from here.
Lana's eyes gently opened and with a groan turned on his chest to look up at him, he was further dazed as she smiled at him and proceeded to snuggle closer. They lay quietly cuddling together for a few minutes before Kailen broke the silence.
"Where do we go from here Lana?"
Lana opened her eyes and stared at him for a few moments before replying.
"We'll just have to see, though I'm hoping we can continue to satisfy each other don't you agree?"
Kailen grinned seeing her teasing expression, he certainly had no complaints. It seemed his life was improving by the minute, maybe there was a god on his side after all.
"Though they were nineteen years late..."
Kailen thought grimly, his expression changed though when he heard Lana speak again.
"I won't be exclusive to you though, just to be clear. After all, I won't give up my dream because of you."
"Your dream?"
"To create a harem of goddesses, where I will be queen and I can play with whoever, whenever."
Kailen burst out laughing at her unexpected answer, he was relieved she didn't include men in her dream harem. It was a dream he could get behind, he thought lewdly. Lana assumed he was laughing at his dream so she retorted.
"What's so funny? They can give me more pleasure than you could."
Kailen's grin faded as he rolled over her and stared into her eyes.
"Guess we will have to change that."
Kailen greedily attacked her lips, and once again their battle commenced. Loud moans filled with ecstasy filled the carriage, causing Ali sitting watch outside to blush furiously.
"Not again!"
She thought with an expression of exhaustion present on her bright red face.

The journey continued for a few days, traveling at a rapid pace through the large forest. Eventually, they slowed their pace as a large mountain came into view through the gaps in the trees. Dark black clouds covered the summit, so Kailen couldn't guess its height.
"That's Mt. Gilnar, a volcano which produces Fire spirit stones. We shall proceed on foot, from here onward."
Lana spoke in a dignified tone, she entered the carriage to assume her armor and weapons. Kailen wore a black studded leather armor that Lana had bought him for the journey, he attached one of her old sabers to his hip.
Ali also wore a set of expensive armor like Lana that hugged her body and exposing some skin at parts. She had a bow over one shoulder with a quiver of arrows on the other, Kailen was surprised. A bow was difficult to use against cultivators with their increased strength and movement speed. Superb eyesight and reactions were necessary, though on a battlefield he imagined they would be an excellent asset.
After Lana was ready they slowly made their way through the thick vegetation and headed in the direction of Mt. Gilnar. Lana took point, with Ali in the center and Kailen at the rear. As they waded through the thick mud, and overgrown plants a clearing was visible just up ahead where a large group was camped.
There were numerous men and female warriors clad in heavy armor, most resting it appeared with a few on guard. There was a large tent at the center with a large flag depicting a sword piercing a shield, Kailen had no impression of the crest. The trio ensured they stayed out of sight, Lana then informed Kailen of their identities.
"They are the Sacred Sword Sect, a large and powerful sect in Nictra. Strange they would appear here, maybe an inner disciple requires a large number of fire stones. Let's not introduce ourselves yet."
Lana led them away quietly and proceeded to take an alternative route to the mountain, they passed a few cultivators but mainly avoided them. There would be enough conflict over the resources, so most didn't feel the need to start early.
As they reached near to the slope of the mountain, the vegetation slowly disappeared leaving only scorched black rocks. They were currently, at the edge of the last part of the forest watching a few different conflicts occurring.
Suddenly, Kailen could feel and hear the air being pierced directly behind him as he hurriedly turned to face the incoming danger. He quickly dropped his shoulder, in an attempt to dodge the incoming blow. He was, however, unsuccessful as bright red blood sprayed into the face of Ali behind him.
