Chapter 50 - Tring tring

Ador watched soap opera Kasauti... a family melodrama..... and dozed off.

On the other side of metropolitan Kolkata, Dev was discussing with Bali about a new business venture. Bali did not agree. Dev's friend Mir was a biomedical engineer. He used to set up equipments in different hospitals and diagnostic centres, pan India. Be it a CT scan or any other equipment, he could assemble them in a jiffy. His company wanted a marketing manager. Dev wanted to apply for the said position. Bali did not want Dev leave for Mumbai. They forgot about the existence of Ador in their life.

On the other hand, Ador left her existing company and joined as business development manager in a multi national conglomerate , taking care of sales and business development in Bengal and parts of Orissa, viz Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack.

Ador thus had to go for a training program to Mumbai. Similarly Dev had to go for his scheduled interview to Mumbai. Both headed towards airport in their respective cars.

As Dev approached the airport, he saw a known silhouette in the entry gate amongst the crowd. His heart beat fast. He looked again, but could not see the familiar frame again.

He felt he saw Ador. His eyes twinkled, thinking about her. When he was standing in queue for the security check, he felt he saw her again. This time, he grew anxious, thinking what would be her reaction, if she saw him boarding the same plane. With so many questions hovering in his mind, he called her.

Tring.....tring

The call did not get connected.

Ador had seen him coming. For the first time, in this period of self healing, did she feel scared. Her old wounds resurfaced. She started having a panic attack. She took zapiz 7.5 mg under her tongue and called up Ita. When Ita heard Ador, she told her to calm down and go as per her schedule. If Dev comes, then to go with the flow. "We are always with you, but there are some roads that you need to travel alone..... do not fret. Keep calm. Then only the other person cannot read your mind" is what Ita told Ador.

Ador disconnected the call with a heavy heart.

While she was boarding the flight, another call came.

Tring tring...

She picked it up, without noticing, due to her tensed self plus tshe did not want to cause any problem to fellow passengers.

"Dev here.....it seems you are going to Mumbai. What a pleasant surprise. "

Ador disconnected the call hastily.

Dev got his dose of adrenaline, his long lost kick.... he laughed aloud with a twinkle in his eyes as he boarded the same flight.

Ita prayed to the Lord Almighty for a safe flight journey of Ador.

Ador quickly took a window seat near the tail end of the flight. There came an old lady and sat down beside her. Ador felt relieved. When the flight was more or less occupied, a teenage boy came and told the lady, that he had arranged for a window seat for her. The lady smiled at her grandson and both left.

Ador looked outside the window... trying to calm her rapidly beating heart. Her mind was calm but her heart was not listening to her mind.

When the air hostess came in front of Ador and told her to put on the seatbelt. She looked up from the window, to the flight attendant and then to the occupied seat beside her.

She swallowed her saliva and choked badly.

Dev was grinning at her with a devious look.
