Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 (Actual first chapter)

Today, is the day. The day that i'm finally trying to move on with my life. I'm moving out to the what I guess I would call the "rich country" where it's in the country, but in this "country" there are a lot of "rich" people in it. I only know about this because I've come across a few places like this along the way here, and, let me tell you. It's not the kind of place that acts like the other "out in the country" places. Instead, it's more... outgoing. You'll see what I mean in the future, anyway, let's get back to the main point. Today, is the day that I officially start my life the way I want it. My age. I'm 16,howsoever, i'm legally an adult. I've been emancipated, which means, I separated myself from my guardian or guardians because of how their living conditions are. I don't really talk about it much, because... it's not really something to brag about or anything. My parents died in a fire when I was about 7. I've bounced around homes in foster care because apparently the rest of my family was not in "suitable conditions" to raise a child. So over time, i've actually lost connections with them, but the foster homes that i've been put into were not all very friendly or very fair to foster kids. So, i've ran away from 6 different families a bunch of different times, reported abuse 4 different times and have been abandoned 3 different times. So then, this last time at my last foster house, they were neglecting me, not feeding me, or even using any of the government money to care for me at all. Instead, they spent it all on their other two children Rhonna and Christy. They treated me like dirt, so after about three days of this, I immediately went to the social workers and told them to get me a lawyer to which they tried to stop me but failed. I then filed for emancipation and passed due to my great knowledge of the world and then I became a legal adult. The government helped me find a place and helped me get a job in Sarcoxie, MO. So, here I am, sitting in this black SUV being driven to a nice decent house of my own where I will continue high school and go to college later on. Oh, forgot to mention, my name is Samantha Rosemary, Rose for short because it sounds better in my opinion.

Three hours later

I've finally arrived. It's actually quite a nice little town, and the house that they got me is nice too. It's even just down the road from the school. And the job that they got me is at the nursing home with all of what I assume is the nice old people around here. I'm actually looking forward to life around here. Well, time to unpack and get ready for the rest of my life.

The next day. 6 am

Time for my morning jog, as soon as I wake up which is at 6 am, everyday. It's a habit that I picked up to maintain my strength and stamina. I also do exercises and whatnot as well but on a different schedule. Not in the morning. As in, I go to the gym about 3 times a week or more, but I don't even know if they have a gym here in sarcoxie. I'll just have to find out... Wait... It's monday. Uh oh! I forgot! School's starting today! I'm already 30 minutes into my jog. I'll have to stop here and run back to take a shower and get to school. Luckily, I have my own car that the government provided me with. I run back within 10 minutes, grab my clothes, jump in the shower for a quick 15 minute shower, jump out get dried and dressed within 5 minutes, and then run out and pack my bag with all of my school stuff within another 5 minutes. I throw on my favorite grey hoodie and my dark blue tennis shoes and run out the door, aaaand then I remember my keys and run back inside to get them.

On the way to school

Hmmm. I wonder how people will act around me or how they'll generally act at all. I wonder how difficult life will be at this new school, new town, new life. I also wonder how they'll act to a person with weird red eyes, jet black mid-waist hair, slime but still kinda round on the important parts and nerdy, straight to the point kind of girl in casual clothes. AKA, me. Yah, my eyes are unexplainable. Doctors and scientists can't identify it so they let me off. Only I, and certain people around me, will know what it truly is.
