Chapter 29 - Breaking the Second Seal

Yi Ling decided on the most expensive cauldron again, seeing that it was more stable and could withstand a bit more force. Money wasn't an issue for her anymore, thanks to the successful auction. All thanks to Mo Tian's teaching, she now had a pretty good understanding of cauldrons. Mu Xin could've told her all about this. Unfortunately, ever since she got the bow, she couldn't get a hold of Mu Xin. He wasn't responding to her calls at all.

As a sign of thanks, Yi Ling made Linyu treat Mo Tian to lunch.

"Since you've helped my younger brother get his first cauldron," he reasoned out.

Mo Tian was delighted, thinking he had made the right move. He also suggested a restaurant, knowing they weren't from this kingdom. He acted like a tour guide, telling them all kinds of information about the kingdom. They didn't reply, but they didn't try to stop him either. It was already a good sign for Mo Tian.

-----------------------------------

After having lunch, they parted ways. Linyu and Yi Ling went back to their inn. Yi Ling was excited to try her new cauldron. Linyu carried the cauldron for her, while Yi Ling was carrying her bow. When they got inside their room, Yi Ling summoned Tefei.

"Guard this place, let me know if someone's here," Yi Ling said to Tefei. Tefei nodded and lazily laid down on the floor.

She whisked her sleeve at Linyu, sending him to the Blue Rose Palace. Yi Ling laid down on the bed and closed her eyes as her soul entered the Sapphire Jade Ring.

Once she arrived, she went to Linyu at the base of the Eternal Oak. Yi Ling asked for some green, silver, pink, red, and blue leaves. He nodded and stretched his hand out, and vines shot up into the air. He plucked the leaves off and handed them to Yi Ling. Yi Ling whisked her sleeves, sending them to her clinic. He also told her that he had already placed the bucket full of spiritual water in her clinic as she had ordered earlier. He was fast in doing his assignments.

Yi Ling thanked Linyu and ordered him to plant all the herbs they got from the deal. Linyu nodded, and Yi Ling left. She had already sent her cauldron and bow to her storage room after she summoned Tefei earlier. She was able to use the Sapphire Jade Ring as a space bag.

A space bag is a spiritual bag made from spiritual energy. Only high Qi Cultivators can make it, above the Emergent Stage. One has to choose an item and send spiritual energy into it. A space bag can be anything. The most popular is a ring, then you have the pouch, bag, bracelet, earring, and necklace.

It can store anything except for living beings. The width inside the space bag depends on how strong the cultivator is and the amount of energy they sent to the item. Since they lack spiritual energy in Huaxia, not all people have it. Probably only the High Rank Kingdoms, even then the wideness of their space bag can't compare to the Sapphire Jade Ring. Plus, the ring has its own supply of spiritual energy. It is self-sustainable. If we also add the fact that she can grow herbs, turn them into spiritual herbs, and also store her contracted beast and Linyu inside, it says so much about how valuable it really was.

Thinking all about this, Yi Ling knew that whoever made this ring was a very powerful man. She thought that it was Linyu's previous master. He mentioned he only had one master before and had been here ever since the ring was made. That's why Yi Ling wasn't worried about Mu Xin that much when she didn't see him on her way to her courtyard. If Linyu's previous master was a bad person, he/she would've just killed Mu Xin rather than keeping him here. But why didn't Linyu ever meet his master, though, she pondered this while she was walking.

She pretty much knew how to make the concoction already anyway; Mu Xin had taught her how when he handed her the list. Though she wasn't that confident, she had enough ingredients to make ten sets. She had a little room for error. She smiled.
