The bright side of the two planets in Tortured Souls dimension have a city each , right in the middle of the jungle . The cities are equally grand , equally bustling , equally crowded and perhaps even equally protected .
When one thinks of these cities , he will think of the biggest city of an empire , right after the capital , but not quite as big or decorated .
Sam was pretty sure if he looked through the history books on Earth , he would find mention of a city like the one that was supposed to stand in front of him .
Debris , blood , broken bodies and God forbid , even some organs were lying around in place of one of the only few cities in the dimension .
The formation towers were broken , so was the barrier . There was no protection on this planet anymore , so he could clearly feel the piercing glare of the sun here . The sun was way closer to this planet than it was back on Earth .
The city was razed to the ground . There was quite literally , nothing left . The raiders didn't stop and they destroyed everything in their way , whether it be people , or structures .
Sam scratched Neo's head and started walking farther north . The war between the two sides had moved from this city , to the division between the dark and bright side .
Both sides had near infinite troops and both sides didn't want to give in . Sam couldn't understand this . Wasn't Tortured Souls just a Tier 3 dimension ? Why would both sides go for an all our war for such a small dimension ?
He could understand Magica Omniverse wanting to protect a dimension right in the middle of it , but what of the cultists ? Were they mad like the cultists on Earth , or was this a strategic plan in a bigger game ?
' Fucking questions ... ' Sam thought as he ran along the trees , dodging a wild branch every now and then . It was a pleasant exercise for his body , which had grown much stronger . His body had basically been strengthened by 10 times when his soul tier became higher . Even if there was no synchronization anymore , he still needed time to get used to his newfound strength . That's why he didn't engage with the zombies on the other planet . In such a large scale battle , if he stumbled for even a second , he will end up getting killed .
That's why while running he was doing all sorts of tricks with his body . All those tricks they showed on TV which he had already deemed impossible were being performed by him . He was doing all those athletic tricks and built up no sweat whatsoever . Some of these stunts were much more exaggerated even when compared to when shown on TV . Neo , on the other hand was having a harder time holding onto Sam's clothes .
The war was going on for nearly a month . Both sides should've had no troops left whatsoever , but both sides had called for reinforcements and both sides had portals connecting to the main bases from where armies of tier 1-4 fighters where coming every now and again .
Both sides wanted to destroy the other and the cultists were even pushed against a corner as there were 5 tier 7s on the side of Magica omniverse , while there were only 3 on theirs . Any loss of theirs could probably spell the end for this war . As such , their was information about how the leader of that side was trying to enlarge the portal . She was trying to make it so that an infinite number of tier 6 and tier 7s could also come to this dimension , which had been practically disconnected from the Magica Omniverse .
Sam wasn't quite interested in the war , per se , but he had been given a goal if he wanted to go to the Magica main base . He needs to kill a 1000 enemies of the same tier as himself , 10 , if a tier higher and 1 if another tier higher .
Sam was quite confused about how tier 4s and higher were coming to this dimension , but Scout reminded him that the domains of a tier 7 practically makes the war zone a different dimension .
Sam wasn't interested in what it , in technical terms , blabbed about , so he kept swiping away the interfaces appearing in front of him and kept playing with Neo every now and again , only to let her hang by his shoulder again when he was done .
When he finally reached the warzone , well , it was still a mid summer noon . The sun didn't show any signs of moving , except it was a bit farther away because the planets were round and the sun couldn't follow him forever .
Sam could see the tents in the distance . 3 Tents . Huge ones . He guessed that's where the tier 7s are staying . There was also a blue portal shining between the three tents , which were arranged like a triangle around the portal .
The war zone was silent right now for some reason and he didn't know what it was , but he was certain it was dangerous .
