Despite having given herself a headstart, she felt Linhou catching up fast and knew he would catch up with her if she didn't speed up. So she accelerated and felt like she was flying, only for Linhou to cross the finish line a few seconds before she did.

He took off his helmet with a scoff. "You cheated, yet you have the guts to complain about losing?"
When he saw her unhappy expression, he used his height to his advantage and patted her head. "Let's play a game you will definitely beat me at."
"Sounds like a good plan." She agreed, and he laughed. Yue was way too competitive to accept that she had lost. He knew he was only distracting her for now as she would soon challenge him to another race—probably when she had mustered more skill to defeat him.
For now, he could simply enjoy her presence.
