"Honey, you have to eat something." Xingyu pleaded with Luna when he heard her stomach rumble for the second time. She had been sitting in the same position since they got to the hospital, staring in the direction of the door as she waited to be let in to visit her sister. All his attempts at convincing her to go home and have some food and rest fell on a deaf ear.
He was starting to worry that she wasn't hearing a word he said, that the shock was making her want to withdraw herself from the real world. He gently tapped her shoulder. He hated to do this but he couldn't watch any longer.
"If you don't eat, you will be weak. You wouldn't want Lanni to be worried about you, would you?"
As expected, the mention of her sister got a reaction from her. She burst into a fresh bout of tears. He hugged her, letting her cry against his shoulder.
"Lanni is a fighter. She will be okay. Let's get you something to eat, okay?"
