After talking to Bernard and Maya, Lucas got up with her in his arms. He was carrying her bridal style.
He turned to Bernard and Maya, "We will be back."
"Okay," Maya replied.
Lucas went down the stairs instead of the house. He set her on her feet and intertwined their hands.
"Let's take a walk shall we."
"Okay."
They started walking gradually and Olivia took in her surroundings. She had never seen this part of the farm and it was very open.
They were many beautiful trees. Lucas turned left,
"I want to show you something."
Olivia nodded as he started to proceed, they walked until they got there. It was a beautiful lake, and he pulled her to sit next to him on a rock. She watched the peaceful scenery, she was caught in a daze.
"This is my favorite place to be when I want to think or clear my mind."
"It's really beautiful Lucas."
Olivia saw Lucas get up and walk to the edge of the stream, he was a man of his word. He showed her things that she had never seen before, and he filled her life with so much more.
As if sensing her gaze, he turned around and looked at her in the eye. He winked at her and she found herself blushing! What was happening to her? Olivia knew that Lucas was very attractive, but she oddly didn't care about his looks, and that's what frightened her. The fact that she liked him for so much more than that.
She tried to reason her ways of thinking. Was it because he had saved her from the vulgar life that she was living? Yet when she looked at him, she only saw him.
He came up to her, "Are you okay?"
"What do you want from me?"
"Everything that you have Olivia."
"Well, I don't have much to give I'm afraid."
"I think you do. Your heart is what I want the most."
"I just don't think I will ever have enough for you."
"You do Olivia, and you just don't see it."
"How do I?"
"You have bought me so much happiness."
"I have? How?" when she thought about him crying in the art gallery.
"I praise the Lord every time that I am able to show my love for you."
"But why?"
"My love for you is so profound Olivia. When I see you, my day brightens up." He chuckled.
Olivia felt her heart grow warm at his words, she was pleased that he found happiness with her.
"Take off your shoes."
Olivia did just as he had asked. When she was done, she looked up at him,
He went back to the edge of the lake and he left a puzzled Olivia.
He held out his hand, "Come."
She got up and went up to him, she took his hand that was held out to her. His hand closed around hers. He walked into the lake and Olivia inhaled when the cold water closed around her feet. After a few minutes, she got used to it and it was very refreshing.
She squealed with laughter when Lucas cupped some water in his hands and splashed it on her, she also did the same and flickered some water towards him. She had never played such games or had this kind of fun. It was all new to her. Lucas fell, and she ran to him,
"Help me up."
Olivia held out her hand for him, when his hand grabbed hers, he pulled her with him into the water. She let out a squeal.
"Lucas!"
He was laughing, and she ended up joining him. Her hair was covering her face when he reached out and brushed it to the back.
He leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. He pulled back and got up, then he helped her up.
"Come let's go home."
