Chapter 2 - The Challenge pt. 1

Okay.

The Manor itself is the only evidence.

Rumors cannot prove that the Legend was true.

Curtains movement, faint lights in windows, and creepy moans carried by the winds from the Manor's insides. Who would you think will believe if you hadn't taken the "daredevil" challenge—a courage test for Baskerville Heights kids—that would dare each other to go into the manor just to write their names on the Bentley's portraits that are always hung at the ball room— where the massacre taken place.

That's exactly what Colton's going to do.

He needs to do this—He remind himself. "After this you wouldn't have to be an outcast of the school anymore. " he needs to prove them that he could join a gang...

"The kid's not going to do it, " Louie, one of the guy muttered to another.

"Ten bucks! " another of them snickered "He would run away screaming himself. "

"Double if he craps his pants. " assured by the guy next to him said. "Oh, shut up! " Ricky, who was munching on some popcorn, growled. "Might scared the guy here. Would be a waste of popcorn and time, mostly popcorn. "

"Hey, hey!" Nestor scolded. "Have some faith. Colon guy is here. "

"It's Colton, " Colton corrected. "Whatever. "

Nestor scowled at being pointed out of his errors. But decided to let it slide. He himself was having the second thought of letting this lowlife join to his crew.

Sure would have him for laughs, but how would that hurt his reputation? Just being this close to Colton is dropping his reputation by second.

Colton knew he's Geeky as everyone can see. With his tall but skinny figure, was nothing but geek material.

How would naturally white messy hair would make him look dorky if he wears big spectacles that would almost cover his entire face? His freckles across his nose wasn't at all girl magnet material.

If he was only told by his parents to slap a pair of glasses and braces, he'll be a complete package.

"... So, you know what to do, Colin? " Nestor questioned. "It's Colton, hell yeah. " emotionless Colton blunted. Unless he pretended it.

"What I'm going to do— go into the ball room. Write my name on the portrait. And get out. "

"Oh. Don't forget the proof, my dear Colton. " this guy, Reese, said in sing-song as he tossed a camera "wouldn't want you to lie on us, shall we proceed? "

"Of course. I wouldn't, " Colton.

As they realized that they are hanging out and spended time near the Manor's gate. It is time to write a name and bail. Colton would have to come up with this plan.
