Stacey sighed for the sixth time today.
Lindan sniffled. "If you sigh any harder, I am going to buy a hot-air balloon so your breath isn't wasted and I can take a balloon home instead of dealing with the traffic."
Stacey turned and looked at Lindan forlornly.
Lindan snorted. "Okay, well, you don't have to look that forlorn and perturbed that Hunter got a promotion."
Aiden walked up and tapped Stacey with the file to the elbow. Stacey turned and looked up into Aiden's dark blue eyes, his soft, fluffy, almost black hair shaken out.
"It's not that," Stacey said.
"Tell us what we are missing then? If you can't shake off this feeling and are not being petty, tell us what's going on." Aiden said.
Stacey frowned. "Hunter is already going through so much, and now this is on his shoulders. He will shut down again and maybe revert to that tool. That jackass to everyone around him, the one who cares only about what he wants." Stacey said.
