The group of knights in silver armor is escorting a big and regal carriage as it passes by the road. Their presence had been noticed by the common folk staying near the road, which made them curious as to who is this noble figure inside the carriage.
"Here you go boy, a skewered meat for five perrots."
"Thank you, mister!"
However even if this loud procession is happening behind him, Ivan only cares about one thing and that is food that is in front of him. After receiving the skewered meat from the stall owner, he started eating it thoroughly.
As he was eating the skewered meat, a huge commotion was happening behind him. A front wheel of a merchant wagon broke, leaving the wagon stranded in the middle of the road. This made it impossible for the carriage to pass which troubled the knights escorting it.
"Hey! Moved that wagon away!"
"So-sorry sir! We are calling help right now! It wouldn't take that much time!"
The flustered merchant answered the irritated knight, who seems to be the captain of the escort team. After bowing several times towards them, the merchant began scolding his men and started shouting loud orders of looking for a blacksmith to fix the wheel.
The captain of the knights noticed that it might take sometime before a blacksmith will arrive in the scene, he asked several of his men to move the wagon in the sideline, hoping that the gap will be enough for the carriage to pass by.
"You guys go move the wagon, we can't be delayed any further than this!"
"Yes, captain!"
While this entire scene is happening, Ivan had finished eating his skewered meat. While normally a small skewered meat is usually not enough to fill anyone's stomach, as he is still a child it was enough for him. Cleaning up his hands with his handkerchief, he put away his pouch as he started walking away from the stall.
However, his hand slipped as he was moving his pouch to his pocket. This made him drop his pouch in the road. Unfortunately for him, he didn't lock his pouch enough leaving a small gap in it. A coin bounced out from the pouch as it hit the road.
"Ah, no… don't go away…"
As the coin bounced out from his pouch, it miraculously landed on its side and began rolling away from him. The silly little idiot began chasing it not realizing that he was moving towards the carriage.
The coin had finally stopped as it hit the carriage's back-wheel. Ivan arrived in front of the carriage and picked up his coin. As he was about to leave the premise, he noticed a white cloth sticking out of the trunk of the carriage.
For some odd reason, it bothered him greatly that the cloth was sticking out of the trunk. So he did what any person would do with the things that they are bothered with, he tried fixing it. He tried opening up the trunk and tried to push the cloth back inside. However, as he was small and little, he can't reach the cloth nor open the trunk.
So he climbed up the back base of the carriage. He was now able to reach the lid of the trunk. He opened it up but as he was about to put the cloth on its proper place, the carriage began to move slightly, causing him to fall inside the trunk. The lid of the trunk also fell, effectively locking him inside.
The townspeople nor the knight noticed anything as all of them were focused on watching the commotion the merchant is doing, even threatening his staff with slavery if they are not able to fix his wagon in a short time. Most of the knights were also trying to push the wagon away, leaving only the captain to look after the carriage.
…
"Phillip, are you ready?"
"Yes, father."
Meanwhile, inside the royal palace, a young child of about seven years old is speaking to a much older man. Both of them possed a sort of royal aura around them, making anyone who talks to them to be respectful.
"The temple and I had both agreed on this, and we will give you the opportune moment. Grab it quickly and swiftly."
"Yes father, I won't make a mistake!"
"Good. Now, I believe that the carriage should be arriving anytime now."
As they were discussing their plans, they heard someone walking towards them. A knight with a wide shoulder is walking towards them, carrying with him the news that they wanted to hear.
"Sire, the holy maiden has arrived."
"Excellent. Now then, let's go."
"Okay."
With the old man leading the way, both of them moved towards the throne room. The old man, upon entering the throne room, was greeted with rows of disciplined knights. Upon seating the throne, the knights performed a military salute in great synchronicity.
As everyone settled down, the group of silver knights entered the throne room while carrying a palanquin. They continued moving until they are in the middle of the room. They stopped moving, and slowly put down the palanquin in the floor.
"King Theodore, we have arrived!"
"Knights of the temple, thank you for guarding the holy maiden and escorting her here."
"It is our duty. However, you need to regulate stricter rules in your kingdom. Just as we were passing by here, we encountered a broken wagon hindering us from moving forward."
"…I understand. Minister Elric, investigate this matter thoroughly."
"I understand, your majesty."
An elderly man wearing a gorgeous blue robe responded to King Theodore and immediately went out of the throne room. Satisfied with the response of the minister, the captain of the silver knights continued talking with King Theodore.
"Well then, King Theodore. Let us proceed to the ceremony."
"Understood. Men, guide the temple guardians towards the sanctum."
"Understood, your majesty."
Immediately after King Theodore gave out his command, the silver knights lifted the palanquin from the ground and began following the kingdom's knights.
