Mehn right now I don't even know if I love high school or being home schooled more. Seating through 5 hours of boring classes, my eyes and butt are very sore.
I had to give the same introduction I did in every class and it was frustrating. I still got the same reply I got back in math class, some people saying lame and all, but I didn't care.
I'm just happy that its launch time now.
I think being home schooled and never been allowed to go out, or being around people your age, kind of make you somewhat introverted. You grow to love your space.
So I didn't feel comfortable sitting in the cafeteria with every eyes watching my every move. And also being the new girl wasn't helping at all.
So I stayed in the line for food and when it was my turn, I bought a sandwich, an apple and a bottle of water. I payed and went out of the cafeteria to the library.
It was very empty since it was launch time, only a few people that was here and there. So I went and sat at the far back where nobody can see or disturb me.
I brought out my food and started eating while going through all the note I took in the previous classes.
I told you I was a nerd.
"Hi" I heard a small voice chirped. I look up just to confirm if the voice was referring to me and indeed it was. I saw a blonde haired girl with blue eyes, who looked to be in the same age gap with me. If you ask me, she's very pretty.
"Hello" I replied sounding curt. "Sorry I just saw you sitting alone and I also saw you back at math class so I thought I'd introduce myself "she said.
"Okay... " I said drawing the okay out, hoping She'll get that I wasn't interested.
"Well my name is Melinda and I'm a senior in this school" she said sounding nervous.
I was tired of this and to stop it from drawing out I tried to make my face look serious and uninterested, and said "well my name is Alex and i don't really care about who you are or being friends with you. So if you don't mind, I was eating before you came".
She looked really taken aback and shocked, I guess that wasn't the reply she was expecting.
I knew I sounded really rude but that is how I should be.
I can't afford to break any of the rules, if not I'll be locked at home again. And as much as I didn't really like the first five hours of my new school, its better than being at home all day being tutored.
At least I'm not just staring at walls here, I'm seeing really people and even though I don't talk to them, I still feel more like a human being.
So if I want to keep having this feeling of freedom, I have to do everything to push people away.
So without saying anything I took my bag and stood up, threw what little remains of my lunch in the wastebin and left the library with a very stunned Melinda.
