"Thanks for taking care of me Auriel." A girl said.
"It's no problem Lisa. I mean, what are sisters for right?" Auriel said.
"Even so... with your condition I feel bad for free loading here." Lisa said.
"Hey don't worry about it. I'm fine. Besides, this little bugger should be making an appearance soon anyways." Auriel said.
With a sigh Lisa rose from the table with her bowl and went to the sink to rinse it out.
"That's not really my point though. It just feels wrong." Lisa mumbled as she placed the bowl on a drying rack.
"I'm heading out, is there anything you need me get you?" Lisa asked.
"Nope. If I think of something I'll give you a call though. Have fun out there!" Auriel said.
"Right, fun." Lisa said as the sliding door opened. Out the door, down the hall, and several flights of stairs later she found herself walking down the street.
'I said I was going out, but now what?' Lisa thought as she walked down the street at a slow pace.
With no destination in mind, she walked and walked. Buildings towered over her, and hover cars zipped around.
'To think that until just recently I was an academy student. But now... I don't even know anymore. That thing..." Her thoughts trailed off.
Even now she felt that extra little bit in her head that would let her connect with the mind space.
'What should I do? I told it I would help it but... should I?' Her thoughts wandered as she began to list reasons for why she should or shouldn't help it.
