After John arrived at the village he looked at what got from all the fighting, and saw that he rose to Level 3 and got 27 Rabbit Meat Paste and 22 Rabbit Fur.
He took his spoils and sold the meat to the tavern and some of the fur to a general merchant, keeping three for himself. He then sacrificed one at the church for the zombie hunter that he resurrected.
After that, he searched for a blacksmith and found one at the outer edge of the village. It was a little rundown, but that didn't bother John.
He knocked on the open door and went inside. An old smith was hammering some iron and asked John,
"Watcha want?"
John answered, "Hello. My name is Chrome, and I wanted to ask if I could borrow your forge and buy some iron from you?"
"If ya can forge something that impresses me, then I'll give ya some iron for free."
"New Quest: Impress the old blacksmith with your forging."
John was overjoyed when he heard that, but he was also worried as he had yet to forge a decent item.
He took an iron bar and started forging like he did in the tutorial, and the same club emerged which was also downgraded to trash.
But the old man was dumbstruck as he thought, 'This man's technique is bad, but it should still be a normal grade item. But not only is it ranked Trash and looks unusable, it still has the stats as if it's normal, and it can still be used normally.'
"I'm impressed! I never knew one can be so bad at forging that ya can actually create useable trash. As promised, I'll give ya some metal bars, but you have to let me teach ya. Yer first lesson: collect ores in the rabbit plains! Collect some rabbit iron, ya can see them just lying on the floor!"
"New Quest: Ore collection. Get 20 ore pieces from the rabbit plains."
John was happy. Not only did he get some metal pieces and a new weapon, but also a teacher that can help him get better at forging.
'There is just no way that something could go wrong at this rate,' John thought as he logged off to get to his second job.
