On the way to A Restaurant, the mood between Mi Rae and Shi Hoon got a bit weird. It got a lot more awkward than they thought especially after what happened with Shi Hoon not recognizing Mi Rae. Although Shi Hoon apologized to Mi Rae, Mi Rae still feels sad about what happen. She put quite a lot of effort for her first ever dates with a man but that man mistakes her for someone else. Shi Hoon felt guilty about what happened and, in his mind, he thought of many things to make Mi Rae feels better. With Mi Rae felt sad and Shi Hoon felt guilty, the mood inside the car got awkward and silent.
Shi Hoon and Mi Rae arrived at A Restaurant. The restaurant employee welcomed both of them with a smile. "Welcome. You must be Mr. Park Shi Hoon. I will lead you and your girlfriend inside," said the employee to Shi Hoon and Mi Rae.
Mi Rae's face blush a bit when the restaurant employee referred to her as Shi Hoon's girlfriend. That was the first time she was referred to as someone girlfriend so she got a bit shy and happy. Shi Hoon saw that Mi Rae's mood was a bit better and he did not want to miss his chance. When the restaurant employee wanted to lead them inside, Shi Hoon immediately held Mi Rae's hand but not with forced. He naturally reached Mi Rae's hand.
Mi Rae jolted a bit when Shi Hoon suddenly held her hand. She looked at Shi Hoon and Shi Hoon smiled at her. Mi Rae got shy so she quickly looked down but she was smiling and blushing a bit. "Let's go in," said Shi Hoon while holding Mi Rae's hand. Mi Rae naturally followed Shi Hoon's lead.
When they got inside, they saw that the restaurant was empty. There were no other customers other than Shi Hoon and Mi Rae. Mi Rae felt weird that there was no one in the restaurant. She lightly tugged Shi Hoon's hand signaling she wanted to say something to Shi Hoon. Shi Hoon felt that and looked at Mi Rae. Shi Hoon bend down a bit to hear what Mi Rae wanted to say since he was a quite tall.
"Shi Hoon ssi, why are the restaurant empty? Did we come a too early?" asked Mi Rae.
"Hmm~ I am not sure myself. Maybe they don't have any customer today," said Shi Hoon.
They arrived at their table. Shi Hoon pulled out a chair and let Mi Rae sat on it. Mi Rae again felt happy and Shi Hoon noticed that. Shi Hoon then sat in front of Mi Rae. The waiter came and handed them their menu. They finished their order and gave back the menu to the waiter.
"How about any champagne or wine?" asked the waiter.
"No, it is fine," said Shi Hoon. "Mi Rae, do you want some wine?" asked Shi Hoon.
"No, I am okay too," said Mi Rae. The waiter wanted to send their order and Shi Hoon suddenly asked him.
"Why is the restaurant empty?" asked Shi Hoon. Mi Rae also wanted to know so she also looked at the waiter.
"Urm~ you book the whole restaurant for tonight, sir," said the writer.
"Is that so?" said Shi Hoon. The waiter left them.
"Shi Hoon ssi, you book the whole restaurant?" asked Mi Rae.
"Not me. It was Jong Min. I asked him to book a table not the whole restaurant. He must have misheard me," said Shi Hoon with a serious face. Just like what happened with the bouquet, Shi Hoon did not want to show that he tried too hard so he only wanted to book a table for them but a mistake on Jong Min parts happened and he can't help it.
"You are okay with this, right?" asked Shi Hoon. Shi Hoon knew that Mi Rae joined lots of charity events and he even donated lots of money to orphanages so he deduced that Mi Rae was the type who did not like spending much money.
"Hmm? Yes, I am okay with this," said Mi Rae while smiling to Shi Hoon. When Mi Rae showed a big smile at Shi Hoon, his eyes suddenly blinked a few times. After what happened earlier, that was the first time Mi Rae sincerely smile that big. He was taken aback by that smile as it was also the first big smile he got from Mi Rae since he met her.
"I know you must be thinking that I dislike spending money since I like doing charity work but that is not true," said Mi Rae. "I do spend money for useless things sometime but not a lot. Just once in a while," said Mi Rae.
"I guess I worry for nothing," said Shi Hoon.
"And besides, this is your money not mine so I don't really mind since you can afford this," said Mi Rae while smiling.
"So, under that shy and timid girl lying a wick woman," said Shi Hoon with a serious voice.
"I-I-I am not wicked. I am just stating the truth of what I think," said Mi Rae flustered.
"I am just joking. No need to get so flustered," said Shi Hoon in a softer voice. He looked at the flustered Mi Rae and his face relaxed. "You are kind of cute being like this," said Shi Hoon while staring at Mi Rae.
Mi Rae's face blushed uncontrollably when Shi Hoon said she was cute. There were a lot of people who said she was cute. The aunties and uncles and grandmas around the neighborhood and at the care center but that was the first time a handsome man said that to her. She got too embarrassed with Shi Hoon compliment so she immediately looked down.
"Awawawa," said Mi Rae with low voice while holding both her cheeks with her hands. Shi Hoon looked at Mi Rae's reaction and he felt a bit happy. He smiled again the second time that day but Mi Rae missed that since she looked down. Shi Hoon rarely smiled because he usually found it hard to be amused by something.
While they were busy talking and getting shy, their order arrived. The waiter sends the food to their table. Mi Rae calmed down a bit when their food arrived. Mi Rae looked at the food served by the waiter and looked at Shi Hoon.
"Shi Hoon ssi, are you sure you don't want any wine? You can have some if you want and if you get a bit drunk, I can drive for you," said Mi Rae.
"What kind of man let their girlfriend drive them home on their first date," said Shi Hoon. "How about you?" asked Shi Hoon.
"No, I am fine. Something happen to me before so I quit alcohol," said Mi Rae with a bitter smile. Seeing Mi Rae's reactions, something bad must have happen to her before. Since they were on a good occasion, Shi Hoon did not want to pry into that that night so he changed the topic immediately.
"Now that you are unemployed, are you looking for new jobs now?" asked Shi Hoon.
"Not yet. I just don't feel that I want to do that right now. When the needs arise, I will search," said Mi Rae nonchalantly.
"Then, will you have money to buy your daily needs?" said Shi Hoon.
"You must be forgetting that I own a 4-storey building. The tenants pay me rent, so, I won't be short of money," said Mi Rae while smiling.
"I forget about that," said Shi Hoon. Shi Hoon actually never forget about that since it was only a few days ago he found out about that. He thought that maybe Mi Rae will accidentally told him where she got that much money. Shi Hoon still can't find anything about Mi Rae's money. Mi Rae knew Shi Hoon's intention but she acts like she did not know. There was no way a man who were dubbed in many magazines the 'Genius Businessman' can easily forgot about what he read a few days ago.
After that, they talked a bit more about themselves since they did not know much about each other. They asked each other about their likes and dislikes and Shi Hoon sometimes cleverly slipped some questions related to things Mi Rae wanted to keep secrets and Mi Rae like before cleverly answered like she did not know what Shi Hoon wanted to know.
When they almost finished their meals, the restaurant staff suddenly crowded them. They all wore the cone hat. Three of them hold guitar. Suddenly, a piano sound and the guitar followed. The restaurant staff started singing.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you," all the restaurant staff singing.
"?????? Huh? Shi Hoon ssi, is it your birthday today?" asked Mi Rae.
"No," said Shi Hoon while shaking his head.
One of the staff push a trolley with a big cake on it which read 'Happy Birthday, Mi Na'.
