Howard and Lucy didn't go back to their rooms and decided to stay the whole night together at the clinic.
Because of this Dale almost didn't get a glimpse of sleep and just stared all night long at the empty bed next to him where Howard was supposed to sleep. When he stood up in bed early in the morning, instead of eating breakfast with everyone he just took a shower, chose to wear shorts and a hoodie sweater. Then go out of the hotel while being reminded of Lucy's broken cell phone. He goes to the nearest Convenience store to have brunch then goes to the Mall.
While choosing between many cellphones, he grinned as he took out his phone which his father bought for him after they got reunited. He asked the sales clerk to give him the same unit in gold since he is silver. His heart flutters by the thoughts of having the same phone as Lucy. At first, he was shocked to find out how much it cost but in the end, he still bought it. He excitedly walked out of the shop when he accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh John Dale, we are all looking for you earlier ah!" It's Howard smiling at him.
"Ah, I just bought something," he said while looking in a hurry.
"I'm just here to buy something too. Want to get a lift on my motorcycle? Wait for me, I'll be quick, let's go back together." Howard demanded but Dale looks like a kid who can't wait any longer while stamping his foot.
"No thanks, I have something I need to do so I need to go first." he smiled briefly then walked away. A moment later he was gone in the wind!
Without Howard knowing what Dale was referring to, which he needed to do first, was to go to HIS GIRLFRIEND!
"MS. LUCY, BIG NEWS! BIG NEWS!" Meg and Elise hurriedly ran at Lucy who was sitting at their bed putting her things onto her knapsack.
"Why girls? Something's up?" She asked without looking at them.
"It's Charlie! We heard something in the lobby, they said she was taken home by her father last night!" Elise speaks with wide eyes.
"Yah! But the real big news is that Charlie's father is the owner of this hotel! WHICH MEANS CHARLIE IS THE OWNER OF THIS HOTEL!" Meg announced, looking so eager and amazed!
"Wow… really?" Lucy said as if her energy ran out.
The door unexpectedly opened exposing Dale. He walks in gigantic steps, crouches on the mattress beside Lucy.
He's like a charger which instantly fills Lucy's energy, her pale face turned pinkish. "Why did you just come this time?" she questioned, peeking at Dale's sweating face as if he just got back from a marathon race!
But Dale is maybe too tired to answer her, he just took a little rest then stood up again then held Lucy's arms. "Ms. Lucy, come with me I have a surprise for you! I will give it to you when you go out with me, common!"
"What is it, Dale?" She was perplexed. But she didn't get any response rather he yanked her. Luckily Lucy is not wearing heels this time, instead, she's wearing flat flowery sandals complimenting her floral off-shoulder dress. But truthfully she looks like a walking flower vase!
"Wait! Where are you two planning to go?" Elise shouted while watching they're back.
When they got to the pool area, Dale excitedly took out the cell phone that he's been holding since earlier and showed it to Lucy. "As I told you last night, I will take responsibility for what I've done. I'm so sorry again, Ms. Lucy..." he sincerely uttered.
"But how can I accept this? This phone is certainly expensive, Dale." while carefully holding it. Lucy couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by this young man.
Dale simply took out his phone from his pocket and put it at the table showing it off to Lucy. "I chose to buy that unit because I wanted you to have the same as mine!" He suddenly pouts, cuteness shines, shinier than the sunny day. "Hmm… alright I admit, it's because I wanted you to be reminded of me whenever you're holding it!" his face began feeling hot while kept scratching his head.
Lucy couldn't help but laugh aloud. "Okay, I guess I should praise you for acting as a Young Man all this time and for knowing how to take responsibility for what you've done!"
She stood up, her palm reached him, patted his head like praising a puppy. "I'm so impressed with you! Thank you for this surely expensive cell phone, Mr. John Dale Suarez!" She laughs, poking fun at him, making Dale laugh too.
"Uhm… Ms. Lucy, did I ever tell you that you're beautiful?" Dale was intently staring at her face.
"Huh, what?" Lucy blushed.
"I just want to tell you if I still didn't, how beautiful you are in my eyes!"
For a moment their eyes engaged each other. Lucy felt fluttered. Well, anyone would anyway! But just then her laughter burst seeing Dale's intense expression.
Without them noticing from far away, Howard is furiously watching them while tightly holding a bag which looks obvious that it's carrying a cell phone box. He got furious watching how joyous Lucy looks now, adding the tiredness he felt walking around looking for her. He walked near them, stood beside Lucy, looking possessive over his possession! He held Lucy's shoulders and moved his face near hers. "Why are you here? It's cold, you should be inside."
Lucy and Dale stopped giggling as if they were just caught!
