Henley came to the hospital to visit his uncle and to look at his clinic too. He went straight to the Director's office. He walked in towards his secretary's table.
"Hi, I am Dr. Henley Wu. Is Dr. Bernard not busy?" He asked the secretary.
"Hello doc, one moment please." She smiled.
She picked up the phone and pushed the number 1. He heard her said his name and then put down the phone looking at him.
"He just said to go inside Dr. Henley. He is waiting for you." She relays.
"Okay, thank you." Henley smiled.
He knocked the door before pushed it open. He saw his uncle seated at his leather executive chair. He stopped doing his laptop when he saw Henley walked in then stood up towards him.
"Uncle Bernard!" He shook his hands then tapped his shoulder. "Looking younger each time I see you." He smiled at him.
His Uncle Bernard is the youngest and only brother of his mother and one of the owners of the hospital. It is a family hospital. His own my mother also a part owner. But only family knew about it.
That is why he has already a slot in the hospital. His Uncle Bernard is one of the closest uncles to him. His mentor in field of medicine. It is in their bloodline being a doctor.
They sat across the sofa set in his office. He is in his forties now and happily married with four children. The secretary walked in with their cup of coffee and placed them each in the center table.
"So, are you ready to take your butt working here?" He said as he smiled widely at Henley.
"Oh, come on, Uncle I am always ready anytime." He replied.
"Thank you that you changed your mind. It is nice to see you here in Metro General Hospital. Remember, you are part of this family business." He sipped his coffee. "You are the best doctor in Milky Way and I am sure you will be excellent now that you are here."
"Thank you for the compliment Uncle and it is about time I can share my talent here in our hospital. At least, I experienced my profession to the other hospital." He proudly said. "I am confident to myself that it was not biased to others because I gave my all to others not because of my background. And nobody knew that I am your nephew."
"Yeah, I get your point. You are really your mother's son with the same thinking " He laughed. "And I am so proud of your achievements without my help. You are you. For being, down to earth person as well." Henley smiled as he took a sip on the coffee. "How's Henna? It seems she enjoys being a teacher, wife and a mother too. What about you? You are not getting any younger."
Henley did not answer but he just smiled. A knocked from the door heard then it opened.
"Hi dad!" A man wearing a white coat stepped forward to them with a woman behind him follows.
It is his cousin George. Dr. George Lim, youngest son of his Uncle Bernard. He was two years older than Henley was. "Hey, Bro Henley, welcome to Metro. Good to see you, man. It's about time." He said as they bumped fists with each other.
"Wow, looking great." He replied smiling. "Thank you, Bro."
Then a woman smiled at him and kissed his uncle cheek first then to Henley too. "Hello dad, hello Henley."
"Well, well, well, look at you now." Henley kissed her cheek too and hugged her. "How are you Tori? You really look nice as well."
She smirked. "Really? Well, my life is full of love and more on that now that I saw you." Both of them were laughing.
"Okay, stop it, you two." George said. "So, how about early dinner?" He said to Henley. "And you as a get together and welcoming you back."
"Oh, that is fine with me. I am free as a bird for now since I will start my work on Monday." He then faced his Uncle Bernard. "How about you Uncle wants to join us?"
"No, no, you, young ones go ahead. You know you Aunt Mila will definitely has a plan for us tonight." He declined.
"Okay, so you go first with Tori, Bro. I will catch up with you later. I will check my last patient in a while. Text me where you planning to eat." George waved goodbye to them first then Henley and Tori went out together after saying farewell to his uncle.
Henley and Tori decided to dine in Mexican Restaurant. The place was huge and Tori recommended it to him. He was not meticulous when it comes to foods. So, whatever it is as long as it is delicious, he can never say no.
They walked inside the restaurant and saw that the place was nice. Many people were eating. Luckily, they still got a table for themselves.
The waiter guided them to the vacant table. Tori message George the name of the restaurant they chosen. She sat first then Henley made joke to her.
"Did you fix your nose?" He asked then pinched her nose.
"Of course not, that is natural." She slapped his hand and both of them were laughing.
The waiter brought them the menu book and started ordering. He then stopped when he saw familiar figure at the doorway.
'Sophie?'
Then Henley forgot what he saw when George's presence covered that person. He waved to him so that he noticed.
George joined them in the table then orders some of him as the waiter handed him the menu.
"I am really hungry. Therefore, I will order Spicy Chicken Taquitos, Chicken Enchiladas, what did you order? He asked Tori.
"I order Beef Enchiladas but if you like chicken then that's fine with me." She replied. "Chili Cheese Crunch wrap too.
"Well, we will change it to Chicken Enchiladas Casserole instead and additional Keto Taquitos." George added their final order. "What about you Bro?" He asked Henley.
"I'm good to whatever you order that is fine with me." He thumbs up
"What about drinks sir?" the waiter asked.
"I will have cold ice tea please." Henley said.
"Make it two." Tori added.
"A coke for me, thanks." George said to the waiter. The waiter repeated their orders then George nodded.
The waiter went to prepare their order and George started asking Henley's questions.
"Dad asked me to ask you when you are going to settle down." George laughed, seriously looking at him.
Henley glanced Tori then George. But he did not answer rather he just shook his head smiling innocently.
"Hey, what's so funny? It is the right age man; you are not getting any younger." George smiled.
"This is ridiculous question. Really, man, well, I will zip my lips for that. Time can tell when so for now I will not talk about it." Still smiling and safe answer he gave them.
They spent their bond laughing and talking nonsense. Henley enjoyed his night with the two craziest people he knew.
