Xiu Mei resumed working at the office a week after the news died down for a little bit. Even though there were still some reporters taking every opportunity everytime they see her or Lu Chen, it was still manageable when compared to the first few days.
"Congratulations!"
"Ms.Xiu, we wish you a happy marriage!"
"Congratulations and we wish you all the best!"
Xiu Mei stared flabbergasted at the sprawled out letters on her desk. In the morning, this was what the reception had handed over to her in all smiles. At first, Xiu Mei felt that the smile of the receptionist looked quite creepy and suspicious, but she still accepted the bundle of tied up envelopes she gave to her.
And she was really right. She really shouldn't have accepted the letters. Because right now, she didn't know what to feel anymore. Embarrassed? Doomed? Desperation?
