(Flashback time I suppose, warning... it's not pretty.)
I had no beef with Kai while he stayed at my house, why?? Simple, I just ignored him, I did what my mom told me, kept to myself and it went on smoothly, well for the most part that is.
There were times he tried to rile me up like this one time with Nana:
"Nana, is it true Hana doesn't leave the house much because she thinks she's a freak?" Kai asked my grandmother looking as innocent as a three year old.
"Oh my, Hana sweetie, is this true?" I could hear the concern in Nana's voice when she looked at me.
"Of course not Nana, I just have so much to do in here and you know I don't stand the heat that much, don't worry, I don't know where Kai heard that, but it's a lie."
"Are you sure? You're not just saying that so I don't worry??" Nana was an expert worrier, she felt it was her duty to worry about her family.
After this I talked with Kai alone for the first time since that "incident", it happened over breakfast on a lazy sunday.
"Dude it's ok if you want to come at me, I can take you on, on all levels, but you do not involve my Nana in this, if you do that again, you're going to find out just how good I am at beating you, don't tell I didn't warn you!" I go over to the kitchen counter to make some toast.
Kai follows me, "Yeah as if you're the only one who's got moves!! I'm still waiting for a rematch!"
"Ok name the day and time, it's easier now you are on my turf." I say putting cream in my coffee, while I wait for my toast.
"Wow, you in gang mode or what? Turf?" Kai laughs reaching for the toast.
"Yo, that's my toast!" I grab his hand and make him drop the toast on the plate, then I look down at my hand holding his and its like a bolt went through me.
"What the fXXX! You just shocked me!" Kai said looking surprised.
"Yeah, that's what happens when I get mad, so I would watch it if I were you! I can be a mean Storm."
"Really? Storm? Is that all you got? X-MEN?? Geez you really like to spread thin!" Kai gets a another piece of toast on the toaster and reaches for the pot of coffee Nana had left ready for us before leaving for her Tai-Chi gathering.
"Why don't you bring your A game down to my room for a test?" I ask while sipping my hot coffee.
"Wow did that sound the same to me as it did to you? Cause to me it sounded like an indecent proposal Hana Han!" Kai laughed and jiggled his eyebrows with a sleazy look in his eyes.
"You wish! You are not my type...and even if you were... which you are most certainly not...but lets imagine you and I are the last human beings on earth...I would die before I even looked at you ... so ... there ... "
"Oh I like it when girls are in denial...is that before or after you cry yourself to sleep ... once you realise you are on a one sided love??" Kai pulled me up to his chest, looking pretty darn cool while doing it.
I spit the piece of toast on my mouth, "You're an ass, let me go." I asked angrily.
"I'm an ass? Hummm maybe I am... but if I got the fame I might as well have the benefit." he crushed me even more tightly against his chest, I'm sure he could feel all my upper body, the one I tried hard to conceal.
"Let go now, or I'm going to have to make you!" I wriggled in his arms, but he was a strong dude, I really didn't want to use any form of self defense.
"Make me then, let's see what you got!" Kai lifted me off my feet, and that was it, I didn't care anymore, he was feeling me up and enjoying himself, thinking I was defenseless, as if!
"Remember you asked for it! So don't go crying to mommy!" I said as I dropped all my weight, his surprise at the move gave me enough leverage and in a flash I jumped up and down, broke free from his hold at the same time that I pushed him, he fell back against the kitchen counter.
"Woah! Easy there Karate Kid! You might hurt yourself!" Kai straightened up.
"You asked for it! I will not have you touching me as you please. I am not one of your girl friends, They might enjoy you copping a feel...but REMEMBER I do not." I turn grab my coffee and toast and get the hell out of dodge.
"Oh! running already? How pathetic Miss Han, you can't even take a friendly banter." Kai's deep and extremely unsettling voice chases me down the hall and all the way down the stairs to the "batcave".
'Pathetic? I'll show him pathetic!!'
Breakfast done I bring the dishes up and try to look around see if Kai is not around, but I wouldn't be so lucky, he's drinking his coffee in the middle of the kitchen.
"Come back for more?" he asks licking his lips and tasting the coffee.
'Oh my God...could you not have made him less ...less...oh...less everything...'
Ignoring him, I cleaned up and made my way out again, not even looking his way.
As it turns out Kai does not take being ignored, so he made sure I couldn't ignore him.
HOW? You are probably wondering...
Let's just say he did not look at means to get to the end.
