"Here I am walking in the dark street on my way to the University dorm again. Why are there so many couples hanging out here? Ugh, I want a boyfriend too, please Lord give me one of those too". Zen thought as she walks through the street. Zen just started summer class as a 2nd yr university student majoring in Medical Laboratory Science. She is no special, she is short, medium-toned skin with a flat nose, dark lined lips, and a dry frizzy hair. Zen is just an average or below average woman in the eyes of many people except that she is just 17 years old in a 2nd year level of University. But, she is not smart, she just happened to start school earlier than others.
As the first day of inter semester starts, Zen woke up early at 5 am to prepare for her first class which is at 7 am, a history class. She was anxious and worried because she didn't take the same subjects as her best friend Staphy. After taking a cold shower, she sat in front of her table and started to apply makeup on her face, she really loves makeup, she swears by it and of course, she wanted to look good on the first day of her classes. She wore her uniform stares at the mirror and whispered to herself "You can do this!". She was nervous on how to make friends because although she is known for being a cheerful person who smiles a lot inside her are fears she might not satisfy other people enough to make them genuinely be friends with her.
As she entered her first class, she smiled and looked for familiar faces that are on the same program as her, but, instead who she saw were three (3) manly looking Koreans. She went on and sat with her friends. When the class started, as usual, the professor made the students introduce their selves individually and made a seating arrangement by surnames. One of the Koreans caught Zen's attention so she waited for him to introduce himself.
As the man stood, every girl was paying attention. He was around 5'6'', his eyes were monolid, he had small but tall nose then his kissable lips uttered: "Hi, I'm Lee Min Gyu, 4th-year Dentistry student". Everyone thought he was the actor Lee Min Ho as it sounded and looks similarly. Every girl was giggling during his introduction and of course Zen was one of them while daydreaming that He would like him back. After a week of class, nothing special happened. The Professor then gave the students a group seatwork and unfortunately Zen was not grouped with Min Gyu, instead, she was grouped together with one of Min Gyu's friends named Jung Se Hwan. Unlike Min Gyu, Se Hwan was a very thin man, quiet and timid although he was taller ( 5'8''). While Min Gyu had straight hair, Se Hwan had very thick and curly hair.
During seatwork, Se Hwan was very quiet, though Zen was not interested in him, she decided to ask SeHwan his thoughts towards the seatwork so he could at least participate. Zen thought "maybe he is shy because he is the only Korean in this group" as the group is composed of three Chinese and Se Hwan. After then did Se Hwan started to interact quite a bit.
