Elijah was looking around, he was even more impressed by the Blood League Pact now.
They met outside Clearforest City where a huge flying ship was already waiting for them. The Assassins entered the huge flying ship without making any sounds, Elijah just went with the flow.
The flying ship that reminded him of the pirate ships from the movies like Pirates of Caribbean, it was massive and had enough space for at least 400 people.
"The rules are easy, grab what you can and stay alive. The Blood Pact League will reward you according to the worth of the things you hand over. It's your free choice to donate or not, but keep in mind that a too great fortune can be like a death curse if your strength isn't enough...rest well, it will take us half a day until we arrive at our destination." Announced the old man Nightsky.
Elijah felt how the mood around him tensed up.
He ordered his Thunderclaw Falcon to follow them carefully and stay out of their range.
The flying ship was many times faster than his own sailboat.
Elijah noticed how most Assassins took out their weapons, starting to clean them.
He sat down to rest at the side of the ship.
-----------------------------------
"This trip would be much safer for us if father was with us..." Said a woman with long silver hair.
She was beautiful and with clear green eyes. The aura around her was soft but noble.
"Nothing of this would have happened if you hadn't messed up, it's is your fault that my nephew is being hunted down and our father vanished!" She kept nagging the middle aged man sitting beside her.
He kept his eyes shut, not showing any reaction to her and ignoring her completely.
"Do you hear me Steven? Don't pretend to ignore me you block of ice." Said the woman annoyed.
The man with combed back silver hair opened his indiferent green eyes, "That's enough Samantha, It's father's fault that it became like this. Our clan would have benefited so much If he didn't kept Elijah's bloodline as a secret. His selfishness clouded his judgment and lead to this situation." Answered Steven indifferent.
Samantha grew angrier, "You! I can understand father's choice, I would do the same if my child was born with a Mystic Bloodline. I rather hid my child from the clan than letting him become a cold *sshole like you! Mother corrupted you to the root..."
Steven snorted, closing his eyes again.
Samantha stomped her feet on the floor, she turned around and left the cabin.
Outside of the cabin were a group of young people from the Silver Clan resting.
She looked at them with softer eyes and walked to a youth.
"Craig my dear, don't become like your father."
Craig was surprised and confused, "Uhm yes aunty..."
"You have always been such a good boy, this trip will be a good trial for you all." Samantha turned to the group of younger clan members.
"Remember, everyone beside our clan members are your enemies once you enter the Ancient Realm. You all will get separated from each other and randomly land at different spots inside the Ancient Realm, try to find each other and form a group once you enter. That is the safest way to survive."
The youths nodded their head, fighting spirit could be seen, burning in their green eyes.
"Aunty are there any news about Elijah?" Asked Craig.
Samantha looked surprised at him, "Craig you..."
Craig sighed, "He opened my eyes...That day before the Guildmaster from the Ranger Guild took him away, he said some things that made me wonder...I started to think about the meaning behind his words and the Warrior Creed that we grew up with...You know aunty if you think about it, hard enough, you will realise that we are groomed to be pawns for the empire, even for our clan."
Samantha's gaze grew heavy, how could she not know of it?
Craig noticed the looks his fellow clansman gave him, "Don't get me wrong, I know that it is a necessity. I wouldn't have given Elijah's words much importance if Headmaster Mason hadn't appeared and attacked him. Why would a lofty charakter like him feel threatened by a junior like Elijah? Why would he lower himself to attack a junior who can't defend himself? I spent some time thinking about it and Elijah's last words ringed inside my mind."
"The academy only tolerates pawns" Recited Craig slowly.
"Those words, no that belief is the reason Headmaster Mason made a move himself on a junior to eliminate him. The empire wants pawns, that's why the Warrior Creed was created. At least that is the reason I came up with...And you know what aunty? I'm not a pawn!" Said Craig with determination.
Samantha was speechless, she was shocked how a 14 year old teen came to such a conclusion.
The other clan members started to ponder about what Craig had just said, some were confused, some understood him. But they all shared something, a spark had just been ignited inside them. It was only a spark of doubt but it was still there, deep inside them.
-----------------------------------
"Get ready, we will arrive in 5 minutes!" Shouted Nightsky.
The Assassins that hadn't moved much through the whole travel finally started to move.
It was like the ship became alive, even tho no words were shared.
"It's survival of the fittest once you all enter the Ancient Realm, good luck to you all." Said the old man named Reaper.
Elijah stood up, making cracking sounds with his neck.
The flying ship became slower, starting to descend.
Elijah looked down, he could see that there were many people gathered around a ruin.
He couldn't help but become excited.
The ship landed softly on a free spot, and everyone jumped silently down.
Elijah felt many powerful auras the moment he landed on the ground. He looked around and saw many different forces standing separated from each other.
Elijah could feel that there were many experts gathered here.
The air was filled with hostility.
The people stared at their group with hostility.
Old man Silent Dream, Reaper and Nightsky just smiled and unleashed an chilling killing intent that was absolutely suffocating.
The hostile gazes vanished almost instantly.
"Follow us." Ordered Silent Dream
The Assassins nodded their heads like chicken, even Elijah did so. He thought his heart had stopped beating when that chilling killing intent washed over him.
They found a free spot for themselves, waiting like the others.
More and more flying ships arrived and Elijah noticed how the Silver Clan had arrived too.
He couldn't help but frown behind his mask when he recognized two familiar faces inside the group of SIlver Clan Members.
'Craig and Uncle Steven...'
The atmosphere tensed up when all the forces gathered here noticed a gigantic flying ship appear in the distance.
It was the biggest flying ship Elijah had seen before, at least 6 times bigger than the one from the Blood Pact League.
The forces withdrew backwards, giving the ship enough space to land.
The people that came out from the ship gave off an overbearing aura. Everything about them screamed arrogance.
"The Royal Family from the Lionheart Dynasty.." Spoke Deathcry who stood beside Elijah.
Elijah's eyes squinted after hearing Deathcry's words, 'The number one Royal Family among the three kingdoms...'
Another force that was already here walked towards them, Elijah noticed how the member from the Silver Clan stared at them with obvious killing intent.
Elijah had a guess who these people were, 'Golden blond hairs, golden eyes and allies of the Lionheart Royal Family...they should be the people from the Gold Clan!'
Suddenly parts of the sky in the distance lit up, drawing everyone's attention.
A simple looking flying ship could be seen, a seemingly divine light was surrounding it.
It landed near the ship from the Lionheart Royal Family. The people sighed when a bunch of Paladins and Priest excited the simple looking ship.
They gave off a warm and welcoming aura but Elijah felt also a wisp of tyrannical might, hidden underneath it.
"War God Temple!"
