Chapter 43 - Chapter 43- Not good, huge problem

"So tiring."

Lin Fan heaved a sigh of relief. He was really tired. Cultivation itself was really tiring, more so controlling insects. He hadn't slept the entire night. That was just him spending his limited life force.

"The sky is about to turn bright."

He was too lazy to deal with these matters. If not for the Liang Family stealing the grain of the villagers, he wouldn't have bothered.

  Yuan Family was fortunate.

He was able to control a limited number of them, and he couldn't be distracted. If he could control more ants, he would have been able to sweep the two granaries dry of food.

The villagers shouldn't have arrived yet.

Suddenly, there was an exclamation from outside. Gou'zi woke up and saw the courtyard filled with rice. He was instantly stunned.

  What happened last night?

Why was there no commotion or noise at all?

To be able to move so much grain over, it would have to create noise.

Lin Fan pushed the door and exited, "Gou'zi, calm down. Go inform Manager Chen to welcome the villagers at the city gate. I am a little tired and will sleep for a short while. Call me once they come. Oh right, tell them to bring gunny bags."

Gou'zi watched as Young Master returned to his room, and he was stunned.

He couldn't understand how he achieved this.

However, he just went to inform Manager Chen.

Outside of You City, a large number of villagers wanted to enter the city, which caused the You City guards to be wary. They thought that a riot was about to occur again.

"Young Master Lin allowed us to enter the city." Qin Family Village and Zhang Family Village villagers gathered outside the city. They feared the sharp weapons that the guards held in their hands and spoke the reason.

The guards were stunned, "Young Master Lin?"

He then chided, "You people truly are crazy. How would he let you all enter the city. Scram! Otherwise, don't blame the blades and swords for being blind."

It was okay if it was just one or two of them.

However, looking at the number, there were too many of them. If they were let into the city, whatever happened wasn't something that they could be responsible for.

"What are you all doing? What do you want to do?" Manager Chen hurried over.

Gou'zi informed him to head to the city gate to welcome them.

He really couldn't understand why Young Master did what he did. However, as a servant, he listened to whatever his master said. He would do whatever that needed to be done.

He wasn't in the position to think about other things.

"Manager Chen." The guards recognised who this person was — the Lin Family Manager.

Manager Chen acknowledged them, before looking at the villagers that gathered outside and said, "Young Master said for you all to bring gunny sacks. Those that hadn't, please return to get them. Be quick."

Young Master was friendly to them, but he wouldn't. He would be strict when he should be.

Very quickly, a large number of them left, hurrying back to get their gunny sacks.

The commoners at the city gate stopped their footsteps and looked on.

"What is going on today? Why would there be so many people gathering here at the city gate?"

"I heard that Young Master Lin is giving out grain to villagers from Qin Family Village and Zhang Family Village."

"What? Young Master Lin is giving out rations?"

The people who heard that were filled with disbelief.

In the crowd, there were people who were fully focused on listening. After learning the truth, they hid in the crowd and disappeared.

Not long later, all the commoners from You City knew that Young Master Lin was handing out rations to villagers from Qin Family and Zhang Family Village.

  It caused an uproar.

The three aristocratic families of You City, although they weren't good things in their eyes, at least the Lin Family didn't bully them like the Yuan and Liang Family did.

However, the things that the Lin Family Young Master did recently caused the eyes of these commoners to open up, filled with disbelief.

A Liang Family servant hurried into the manor and bumped into the Third Young Master that was preparing to head out.

"Third Young Master, something happened in the city. Young Master Lin wants to hand out rations to the Zhang and Qin Family villagers. They are more or less preparing to enter the city." The servant said.

Liang Yongqi shook his paper fan. Upon hearing that, his brows rose, and he smiled, "This fellow is truly a disgrace. Let's go see how much grain his Lin Family has."

His Liang Family definitely wouldn't do things that hurt themselves and benefit others.

Even those lowly civilians knew about this theory.

However, what a waste, that dumb guy didn't.

His father had mentioned to let the Lin Family kid waste resources, to see how much more the Lin Family could afford to allow him to waste.

The villagers lined up outside the Lin Family Manor and stood there. They held their gunny sacks in their hands; their expressions were filled with anticipation and nervousness.

Young Master Lin was about to distribute rations to them.

However, they weren't certain whether it was true or false. What were they going to do if it was false?

But they believed that Young Master Lin definitely wouldn't bluff them.

Lin Wanyi squinted his eyes and asked, "Why is it so noisy outside?"

"Old Master, yesterday didn't Young Master say that he would distribute grain to the two villages? Now the villagers are all gathering outside of the manor." Old Wu said.

He really didn't understand why Young Master did all these things.

He felt like it wasn't a good thing.

"Nonsense." Lin Wanyi was furious, "Distributing grain? Then he should bring them to the granary, why did he bring them over here?"

  "Rage +88."

He spent a full day training yesterday to want to teach his unfilial kid a lesson; in the end, he was delighted.

  Forget it.

He opened one eye and closed one eye.

  He allowed him to leave.

Who knew that this unfilial kid would actually gather villagers from the two villages outside the city. He was getting bolder and bolder.

"Go. Let's go take a look."

Lin Wanyi got up. He wanted to see what this unfilial kid wanted to do.

The moment he got out, he bumped into Zhou Zhongmao.

"Uncle, where are you going?" Zhou Zhongmao asked.

Lin Wanyi was furious, he didn't speak nicely, "Where to? Of course to see your cousin who is doing such a good deed. What are those villagers doing here? As the Manor Teacher, shouldn't you bother about it?"

Zhou Zhongmao was stunned, "Uncle, didn't you agree to this?"

"I agreed?" Lin Wanyi wanted to slap Zhou Zhongmao till he fell to the ground.

"That's right. Cousin's back courtyard is stacked full of grain. Uncle must have sent people to send it over. Now the villagers are waiting outside the manor. Didn't Uncle agree to that?" Zhou Zhongmao said.

Lin Wanyi and Old Wu exchanged glances with one another.

Old Wu shook his head to express that he didn't know what happened.

He didn't say anything and walked towards the back courtyard. He wanted to see what this unfilial kid did.

Outside the manor, Gou'zi raised his hands, "Quiet down! My Young Master said for everyone to line up and then follow me to get grain. Be orderly. If you notice a stranger sneak in, inform us. There is nothing else. Please follow me over."

The villagers were delighted, and they all wanted to cheer.

At the back courtyard, Lin Wanyi and Old Wu stood there with a stunned expression. The courtyard was covered in grain, and one would be able to leave a very deep footprint with just one step.

"Old Master, did you sent grain to Young Master last night?" Old Wu asked.

"Do I have a problem to send grain to this unfilial kid? Where did all this come from? Why didn't the people from the granary say anything about it?" Lin Wanyi frowned.

Old Wu said softly, "The guards at the granary would definitely inform us. That only means that the grain didn't come from the Lin Manor Granary."

"However, if they didn't, then where did the grain come from?"

Lin Wanyi walked towards the house. He pushed open the door, "Unfilial child! Where did the grain come from?"

  Xu!

  Xu!

Lin Fan snored; what he replied the two with was the sound of snoring.

"Unfilial child, wake up!" Lin Wanyi smacked the table with a palm, speaking in a low voice.

Lin Fan was woken up; his soul felt like it flew away.

  "Father, what are you doing?"

He was woken up before he could get a good sleep. That was just too much.

"Where did the grain come from?" Lin Wanyi asked.

Lin Fan was in a daze, "They flew over."

At that moment, outside the courtyard, Gou'zi brought the villagers over.

"Wa, so much grain!" The villagers looked at the scenes ahead and were all astonished.

Gou'zi instructed, "Five people a team, how much you all can fill is what you get. Don't spill any."

Till now, he still didn't know where these grains came from.

  Many villagers waited outside.

When they saw the first batch of villagers carrying a heavy bag out, those waiting were all pumped up.

"Young Master Lin didn't lie to us. There is really a lot of grain within. He really is distributing them to us."

The villagers who were given the grain smiled happily.

Not far away, Liang Yongqi looked at the villagers who were carrying the heavy bags. He was really confused, "Is he crazy? He really distributed grain to them?"

Liang Family granary. The guards opened to door to check if there were mice within it. If there were, then they would capture and kill them on the spot.

However, when they opened the door, the scenes within them caused them to blink their eyes.

They backed out and looked at the surroundings. It was really familiar; it was indeed the granary.

They then stepped back into the granary.

  They rubbed their eyes.

Illusion, this was definitely an illusion.

They opened their eyes and looked closely again. There weren't any changes.

  Instantly, a cry rang out.

"No good, this is a disaster!"

A guard nearly tripped as he dashed out of the granary.

  The grain within was stolen!

He had to inform Old Master!
