Bernie's arrival had lifted Abel's mood by miles. He had too many secrets, so he rarely had any friends.
When he thought he was alone, he found out his girlfriend and best friend were both on the Central Continent. It seemed like he wasn't that lonely after all.
Bernie was recognized as a disciple by Law Defying Wizard Hutton. Abel was very happy for him, and Bernie had a head start compared to him back in the days.
Although Bernie was not young, quickly leveling up under his resources shouldn't be a problem.
Most importantly, if Bernie didn't become a wizard, he wouldn't be able to live beyond a few hundred years, even though that was far longer than normal humans.
In the following days, Abel went into retreat again. He would not change his retreat plans even with Bernie around.
