"Look I know that you just saw some fucked up shit but this is how you have to be from now on and you either adjust or you die."
I looked around at their faces for their reactions. I needed people who had a strong will and resolve to survive. I've read books of people going solo and whatnot but those are fantasy I know my limits and there's strength in numbers. That being said it doesn't mean I'll take just anyone only the best out of these bunch.
Fatty's face was hardened which surprised me I thought he would be cowering but he wasn't. The asshole lawyer was a biofuels afraid and sweating. Glasses girl was just staring at me mouth agape but not in fear just surprise I think. The beauty was still in shock and just staring in my direction but I don't think she was necessarily looking at me. School girl had a numb look in her face which was a little scary she looked me dead in the eye without so much as flinching. Lastly skinny...boy? Was staring at the books on the walls with what I can only describe as awe.
"Y..y..you just killed those guys what the fuck is wrong with you?!" The asshole yelled at me which irritated me a little to say the least.
"Because they were gonna rape her and you all just stood there and did nothing" I said back calmly trying hard not to yell. Last thing I need is to get heated and have to fight.
"Look buddy you beat me to it I was gonna move in on them but you were faster then me and then you took care of them so fast I was in shock" said fatty as he stood up slowly and so I looked at him eyebrow raised.
'Of course I don't just believe him but I don't want to start an argument I need their help'
"Well it doesn't matter joe what's done is done. More importantly any of you wanna offer up your sweaters?" I said while walking over to the beauty as I took off my work shirt.
She came to and looked at me and hugged her legs close to her and cowered. She was shivering fear evident in her eyes. I slowed down 'fuck tho is gonna fuck her up mentally so bad'. I though to myself I didn't get closer I threw her the long sleeve button up with my name on it to her. I still had my black muscle shirt under.
"It's clean use put it on, and you stop staring at her." I said while staring at the asshole who was staring at her with lustful eyes.
'They really can't keep it in their pants how pathetic'

I heard a noice behind me and turned around just in time to see a door appear out of one of the walls. I couldn't see beyond it as there was only a bright white light there. 'Yup that's not shady at all'.
I turned back to see glasses girl approaching in my direction she stared at me the whole time. She walked and kneeled besides the beauty and softly spoke "hey it's ok I'm a nurse does it hurt anywhere? My name is Lucy what's yours?"
The beauty stared at her then she broke down again and started hugging Lucy. Everyone was visibly awkward fidgeting except for skinny boy? God I really need to know his name or her. He was just staring at me which creeped me out a little.
"What do we do now? Should we walk out the door? I mean she's obviously not gonna be ok for a while and what if the door closes we can get stuck here!" Asshole was panicking and pacing around and then he stared at me. They all did.
"What are you looking at me for?" I said
"Well you're obviously not afraid to kill so you should decide what we do" said asshole while gesturing around with his hands.
'What's with assholes always throwing their bands around when they talk?'
"Look dude I'm not responsible for any of you what you do is up to you and that's that. Me personally, I'm gonna wait here till she gets better you're welcome to go." I said while staring at him. I wanted him to leave quite honestly people like him almost always end up caring only for themselves and putting people in danger to save their skin.
He tried to retort but didn't know what to say so he just turned at the rest of the group and said "what do you guys think he obviously just wants to get on her good side I know kids like him very well."
'Did this motherfucker just trash talk me right in front of my face' I almost let an insult slip but I kept my cool and just stayed quiet.
"I'm staying here too" said the fatty while staring coldly at the asshole.
'This fatty is pretty cool now that I look at him carefully' he's at least 6'2" with sharp features and cold blue eyes. His build looked fat but if my thoughts are right he's probably yoked as fuck.
"I'm staying" said Lucy without even looking at him.
"Same here" said school girl.
"Me toooooo" said skinny boy playfully. His voice was pretty deep so I'm sure it's a boy now.
I looked at the asshole "you heard them we staying but by all means you can go ahead of us.
He glared at me with fists clenched but ultimately he just looked away and walked to a wall.
'Fuck he didn't leave' oh well time to focus on the important matter at hand, I looked at the beauty and kneeled down to y'all to her eye to eye I didn't want her to feel like I was looking down on her.
"Listen ummm...what's your name?" I said awkwardly with a smile.
She looked at me, more calm now she was wearing Lucy's oversized sweater as a makeshift skirt. Genius btw never knew you could do that with a hoodie.
"My name is Astrid, first I want to thank you for saving me, thank you very much. I'm okay now we should get moving I don't want to hold you guys back." She said obviously forcefully. She did not look good, she was visibly shaken her voice quivering as she spoke.
"Don't force yourself take two minutes catch your breath meanwhile why don't we all introduce ourselves at least names" I said to everyone.
"I'll start if you guys don't mind. My name is Carlos I'm a diesel mechanic, nice to meet you guys." I said with a smile.
"Name's Dimitri." Said the fatty.
'That's one cool name fuck'
"I'm Ana, pleasures to meet you all. Umm I have a question." Said the school girl. "How is it that you all know perfect Marathi? No offense but I don't believe all of you could by some coincidence know it so fluently." She continued.
'She's right, taking a good look at her she does seem to have Indian characteristics. She was around 5'6", beautiful brown skin with an athletic build, but what was most interesting about her was her eyes they were a real like color with dark sharp eyebrows.
"My name is Ace and I don't think we all speak Marathi, if my guess is correct these gods have made it so we understand each other." Answered the skinny boy while also introducing himself. He still sitting cross legged.
'Wait his voice! Ace? He can't be The Ace?'
"The Ace? As in best FPS player in the word Ace?" Dimitri beat me to it. Sounding as surprised as I was.
"Hehe the one and only baby. Would you like an autograph?" He said smugly.
"No thanks I'm good haha. Early face reveal huh maybe I'll take a picture and sell that to your super fans." Said Dimitri jokingly.
"You dick you better not" laughed Ace.
"You're famous kid?" Interjected the asshole. Oh shit asshole didn't introduce himself.
"A little, why do you ask?" Said Ace warily. You can never be too careful against snakes like him.
"Just curios. So I guess it's my turn now, my name is Jake I'm a lawyer."
'I was right he looked just like one.'
"So I think if we're ready we'll just walk through the door and hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Get ready to fight anything if shit goes sideways run away. Most importantly try and help each other." I said as I steeled myself and headed to the door.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous but part of me was excited. I know it sounds fucked up but I've always been kind of an adrenaline junky, whenever the boys and I went on vacations I would be the only one suggesting crazy shit to do like sky diving, zip lining etc. thinking about the possibilities of how strong I could become got my blood boiling.
I took a step forward and into the light and instantly I felt something off. My stomach turned and I got a splitting headache I felt like I was gonna collapse but I didn't. I held strong I used all my willpower in order to stay standing, from now on everything was a challenge and I had to give it my best if I wanted to be on top.
The bad feelings subside pretty quickly and so I opened my shut eyes I didn't even know I had closed. The scene in front of me was incredible to say the least. There I stood gazing at a small medieval looking town surrounded by a stone wall in the distance, from the looks of it I was standing on a hill on what I can only presume to be a temple. The walls around me were made of some white marble looking stone with pillars holding the ceiling and statues of various creatures and what I can only presume to be deities.
"This is something alright, we should make our way to the town up ahead it's probably a days walk. We might even need to sleep out there depending on how long a day lasts here." I heard Dimitri say from behind me.
I turned to face him "yeah we should head out right away I do not want to sleep in a forest we don't know anything about"
The rest of the gang showed up soon after and were mesmerized by the scene before them just like I was.
"Sorry to burst your bubble guys but we need to move. Now"
