Chapter 520 - Seth

An Hour Before The Universe Will Spilled The Beans

Two men walked side by side with their auras sharpened, indicating their alertness and readiness for anything untoward. One of these men was clothed fully in white, with a few snakes of lightning dancing around him. This man had green eyes and a handsome appearance. For his face was without blemish or fault. The other man was clothed strangely. For he wore a butler's suit complete with a small bowtie and had a kind smile on his face. This man had a dignified air around him, and though he looked middle aged, he was a man capable of turning a few heads. The aura of elegance around him was much greater than the other man's, and his gentlemanly demeanor didn't fit in the jungle he was finding his way through. These two men were Indra and Butler Fin. And this was Zandor.

"We have been searching this place for weeks. Is he really here?" Indra expressed his doubt once the duo had gone a little farther.

"He is here. I can feel him. The issue is the formation he was able to set around this place. It has kept us in the loop for a while." Butler Fin enjoyed the silence from before. But he didn't get to bask in it for long. For Indra was feeling a bit dejected. And this dejection was as a result of the fruitless search the two had been pioneering for two weeks now.

They had come here looking for the Dark God Seth, as per the latter's wishes. Yet the conniving snake had set up a formation around the place that had misled them on several occasions.

"Don't worry," Butler Fin lightly patted Indra's shoulder with the kindness of a veteran leading a child. Indra's eyelids twitched slightly for he was not a child. But when he recalled the age and prestige of the one next to him, he sighed and accepted his place.

"Why not? Why shouldn't I worry?" Indra asked. The few weeks he had spent with Butler Fin taught him that the man was one who spoke only the needful. He wasn't really one to comfort another. He saying this must surely mean that he had a solution to their problem.

"Well I have found the formation's weakness. We are walking towards it right now. Once we destroy that, we would be able to get to the sly god." Butler Fin smiled slightly and said. The formation was strong. It was so strong that Butler Fin knew that Seth wasn't able to do this on his own. He probably used a Divine Artefact with great sealing abilities to pull this off. For Butler Fin was a Sensor God and a Spiritual God as well, yet he couldn't find a solution to it in the past few weeks. It had taken someone of his stature three weeks to pinpoint the formation's weakness! And that was only because Butler Fin could feel a restraint on his abilities. Whatever this Divine Artefact was, it had great spiritual pressure.

"That's great!" Indra exclaimed with the excitement of a child. If this was three weeks ago, when the search had just began, he would have been very nervous to meet the Dark God – even with Butler Fin at his side. But now he just wanted to get this over with. He needed to get this over with. He was patient, but not that patient to accept being led by the noose for three weeks!

"You should prepare yourself though. It is your power I will depend upon to break through and crush the formation's weakness." Butler Fin chuckled and said. Brute strength wasn't his forte.

"Got it," Indra nodded his head in excitement. However, no sooner had he spoken than Butler Fin who was next to him had a change in expression. The Elder God reached out and held Indra by the arm, preventing him from taking any more steps forward.

"What's wrong?" Indra asked, his expression calm as several lightning elements gathered around him. He knew that Butler Fin wouldn't be acting this way if there wasn't something important happening. And he trusted the older god's senses.

"We don't need to destroy the formation anymore," Butler Fin stated with furrowed brows. His words took Indra by surprise, but the sharp-witted god quickly picked up on why Butler Fin's countenance had become so grave. The formation had been destroyed by someone else. But the only person who would have any interest in this formation was the one who set it up and the very person they were seeking – Seth. Only he would destroy the formation. However, the formation was meant to protect him. Why would he destroy it?

"For him to destroy his own formation means…" Indra pondered out loud.

"It was never meant to protect him. It was meant to delay us." Butler Fin had an unpleasant expression on his face. Since Seth was a deep schemer, much like himself, whatever he was planning was certainly not in their favor. It didn't matter that the formation was gone now. What mattered was that they had played right into their enemy's hands. And that meant they had lost half the battle before it even began.

"Let's go," Butler Fin stated plainly, his expression not very pleasant. Indra could feel that the situation was not too pleasing for Butler Fin, so he only mumbled 'Yes Sir' underneath his breath before following Butler Fin who was moving towards Seth's location with tremendous speed. He was so fast that even Indra who was a lightning user had to struggle just to keep up.

Soon, the duo found themselves before a small cottage. This was the place Seth's aura was strongest. The Dark God's aura emanated richly from this small house. Seth's 'smell' was all over. Clearly he wanted to make finding this place as easy as possible.

"Is this a good idea?" Indra asked in a whisper. If Seth was being this blatant, wasn't it better that they leave?

"He is the only one here. There is no one else, not even his Divine Servants." Butler Fin turned to face Indra as he spoke. And once Indra's saw his eyes he shivered instinctively. For he felt a chill consume him as every one of his secrets was presented to Butler Fin in a humble offering. Butler Fin was vastly different from before. What was this vast difference? His eyes.

The formerly unimpressive pupils were now golden yellow. They were like marbles of gold inserted into an eye socket by accident. Within those eyes were countless runes that flashed and captured everything around with great accuracy and detail that nothing was hidden. This was Butler Fin's true form. He had unleashed his true power!

Usually, Butler Fin kept himself restrained. For his power was so strong that with it unleashed, everyone's secrets, important or unimportant, would be seen by his eyes. For they saw through everything! Mimir had Eyes of Wisdom, and Butler Fin had Eyes of Revelation! If he had been using his eyes to scrutinize the formation, it wouldn't have even taken them a minute to find its weakness. But he didn't, out of respect for Indra – and one other reason that will not be stated yet. For he didn't want to gaze into the young god's life and see what the latter meant to keep hidden. But now he didn't care.

"Don't be so shocked. This is my true form. Seth bet on the fact that I wouldn't use my full power before you to protect your privacy. And that is why he was confident he could delay us. In the end he was right." Butler Fin frowned and proceeded to push the door to the cottage open once he was done with his explanation. And Indra quickly followed after him.

Once they were inside, they were welcomed by an odd sight. The cottage was completely devoid of any furniture. There was no bed or chair, and there was no table or rug. There was nothing here that was manmade apart from the cottage itself. The only thing here was a living thing. And that was the man who was seated on the floor in a laidback position. This man had short black hair with a face so well chiseled that one could grate a carrot along his jawline. This man had charming black eyes and a cute smile on his face that made him appear harmless. There wasn't a trace of beard on his face, and he looked as young as a 16 year old boy. His chocolate complexion suited him well and complemented his ebony eyes brilliantly. With him in a seated position it was difficult to tell his height. But he seemed to be relatively tall for his legs were as long as bamboo shoots. There was a great air of immaturity around him, but he was actually a very old god. For just like Butler Fin, he was an Elder God. This man was the Dark God Seth!

"I cannot believe that you actually came," Seth gave a slight chuckle whilst staring into Butler Fin's eyes. As for Indra, Seth only cast a cursory glance at the Lightning God before reverting to Butler Fin. Butler Fin stared right back with an expression that told of his great impatience with the man before them. As for Indra, one would have thought he would be offended by the lack of attention. But he was actually quite fine without it. For these two seemed to have some history behind them.

"What did you expect when you gave out an invitation to your home," Butler Fin frowned before sitting in front of Seth. Indra was slightly surprised. He didn't think they were here to socialize, but remembering what had happened with the formation he understood that there were now questions that needed answering. So he sat as well.

"That is a good point," Seth grinned broadly. "I would have offered you tea but I don't have anything here with me," Seth sighed pretentiously whilst shrugging his delicate shoulders. Butler Fin cared very little for tea. For he wasn't keen on playing any games.

"Why delay me? Why do that in the first place?" he asked. That was the most important question now. And the uneasiness he felt in his chest meant that it was too important to ignore.

"Oh I needed some insurance. A plan of mine wasn't complete before. It is now." Seth laughed and said. His laughter was melodious and enticing, and Indra found himself smiling subconsciously before quickly pulling himself together. For he noticed that Seth had used his spirit to try to deceive him. Indra wiped the sweat off his brows and elevated his defenses. He couldn't afford to fall for the Dark God's trickery.

"What plan?" Butler Fin asked. Once he did his uneasiness grew.

"Oh nothing much. I only sent a few of my Servants to Systema. I had to give them a special tool so that they would be able to avoid the seal on it. What a long process. Remember when one could just enter Systema without the hustle?" Seth had a forlorn expression on his face as he spoke, almost as if he could see those good old days.

However, someone who wasn't impressed with Seth's words was Butler Fin. For once Seth spoke he understood where the uneasiness was from. And his aura exploded.

*Scree*

A screeching cry was heard from within Butler Fin's body as his aura escaped his frame and filled the entire valley like a powerful flood. A golden light formed around Butler Fin as a projection of a man decked in gold armor appeared above his head. Butler Fin's aura was so strong that Indra found himself being pushed back! Soon Butler Fin's hair was entirely golden, and his skin as bright as the sun. A scepter appeared in his hand, and the power he gathered was so great that the clouds above parted, and the cottage was shattered for it couldn't withstand his strength. But in all this, Seth was calm. Although he was slightly wary, he felt he had the upper hand. In fact, he didn't even bother to bring up his own aura. He calmly swatted away a plank of wood that was flying towards him, reducing it to splinters, before asking Butler Fin,

"Do you want to fight, or you want to save those kids? The choice is yours."

Once his words were spoken, Butler Fin's aura died down, and calm was restored.

"Indra, we're leaving," he commanded and dashed away. "But…" Indra started, but sighed and gave Seth one last look before dashing after Butler Fin. For although Seth's expression was infuriating, there was something much more important to do.

"Whew, the Eye of Asgard is indeed strong. Even I would struggle against him. Add that lightning freak over there and I wouldn't stand a chance." Seth wiped the small sweat that had formed on his brow in relief as he spoke. He looked calm, but he wasn't. It wasn't easy to be calm when those who wanted to kill you arrived at your doorstep. As for why he had dared to invite them in the first place, it was because of the trap he had in place. And the purpose of the trap wasn't to kill the children on Systema, but to lead Butler Fin out of this planet. For that was the only way to execute his plan.

"The next step is capturing the Brute King right?" Seth asked, and a small ring on his finger lit up in response. That ring was a communication ring. For Seth wasn't working alone!

"Good," Seth smiled brightly once the message from the ring was digested. "I have never owned a god as a slave before," he laughed, before mumbling about how Butler Fin had destroyed his favorite cottage.
