Necropolis of Heart
Chapter 4
Anna's PoV
While at the reception counter I was done paying the hospital bill and was doing the paperwork for the surgery a Norse asked me "Who is the patient?"
"My mother, Mrs. Jenna Roy" I replied.
"And What is the case?"
"A surgery for ASD"
"Oh! May she get well soon."
The nurse walks away.
I see a doctor coming my way. I question the doctor "Sir, will my mother be fine?"
"She sure will. We'll try our best." Said the doctor. The doctors go into the operation theatre.
After a long hour and a long process with needles, knives and threads, the doctors came out with a sad expression on their face.
"Miss Anna?" A nurse called out.
"That would be me." I said.
"The doctor has called you." She motioned for me to follow her.
She takes me to the doctor's cabin. She goes out and I hear a sound of the door clicking behind me.
"Hello miss Anna. I am doctor Raj, the doctor in charge of your mother's surgery. The surgery went smoothly and was successful. But-"
"But what doctor?"
"But we failed to notice something in your mother. Your mother has a brain tumour at the back of her head just above the medulla. Fortunately it was not cancerous. While laying on the operation bed, you mother hit her head on the metallic frame of the bed."
"What? Is she fine though?"
"Since the tumour was at a safe distance from the medulla, she did not die. She won't any time soon, but she is now in coma and might wake up only after 3 years."
"What! 3 years! That's way too much."
"Don't worry about your mother. She is well out of danger. Worry about yourself. How are you going to help yourself?"
"I'll manage that. But, please, take care of my mother and save her."
