Thunder angrily boomed through the night sky, becoming darker and darker as Thick gray Clouds formed from the left , black clouds from the right began forming blacker to the eye, gradually emerging together to become a stronger storm ready to cry and pour out its anger upon the earth. The winds picked up, with a howling high pitched whistling sound echoing across the plains. The first crack of lightning struck down towards the earth. shortly after a second struck the earth. within seconds the rolling sound of the thunder grew stronger and louder. Soon the rain fell hard and fast, splattering the grass and dirt paths. It wasn't long before the dirt paths became mud with several puddles filling the holes within the paths. haphazardly it became dangerous to be out in this kind of weather as the trees swayed back and forth and the rain increased in speed. The temperature became freezing. With a temperature of 4 below 0. Time of day was just hitting 5:00pm. The rain that poured down fell like a waterfall from the heavens. Thunder boomed louder as lightning struck shortly after repeatedly. Animals caught up in this rainstorm frantically jumped and leaped around seeking shelter. With only a couple of small caves and trees, the creatures struggled to find shelter.
The bigger animals Where frightened and became more aggressive for shelter. They attacked the smaller animals to steal any kind of shelter they could get to. Causing the smaller animals to die from the storm being pushed out of safety, or die from losing the fight.
The clouds began to twirl and sink down towards the earth. Eventually touching the earth and became a 2nd rating tornado, swallowing up anything in its path. 136 miles head stood a couple of beaten down old abandoned shakes, they stood against the rain strong and didn't seem to weaken. Heavy rain began to thrust and beat against the roofs and windows but could never break through.
The air grew thicker creating a light mist from the cold of the night rain began lifting into the air, increases with the sweet smell of rain surrounding the area. unfortunately, plants couldn't survive such rains. Water raised up fast causing plants and small animals to drown. This storm caused one great shadow among nature. With each one drop of rain splashing down without mercy, And when the puddles grew Larger and deeper, they swallowed anything that fell into them causing the mud to drag what fell into the puddle deeper into the muggy ground. the rain danced in the puddles like watery sprites. The lightning flashed and struck several times until one eventually struck a power cord causing a spark, like a serpent of brilliant light sent to bite the earth. Then the sky shook with the cry of the thunder. Frightening more animals left out without shelter.
Walking along the pathway was A boy carrying an unconscious girl.
Raindrops felt like bullets and slabs of sleet on his back, he was hunched over the girl to protect her from the rain holding her close into his chest to keep her as warm as possible. His only thick coat of protection made of thick Cotten and warmth was wrapped over her body, His only concern was to make sure she's dry and protected. The boy only had a thin black long sleeved shirt on with baggy sweat pants that are now soaked that caused an extra heavy weight to carry on his legs. His black long hair stuck to his face making it harder to see where he was going. He began breathing hard as his breath could be seen exiting his mouth. His baby blue eyes narrowed and appeared exhausted and bloodshot. Although he was walking for hours against the storm the only concern he had was to get this girl to safety. The boy saw the tornado and knew it was near. But his strength was decreasing. He began to walk slower and slower as His body began shivering rapidly and uncontrollably. His shoes filled with mud and rocks, Causing several blisters on both feet. He cursed his unfortunate situation under his breath as he stumbled to the side of the pathway. Collapsing to the ground hard on his knees. He managed to not lose grip of the girl as he shifted his body to the right laying on his back against the ground keeping the girl on top of his chest to keep her off the cold ground. His hands felt so cold he failed to keep his grip on the girl, causing her to slightly slide to the left and hit the ground halfway. He groaned in pain due to the fact he has several deep cuts on his back from a fight from earlier that day. His back began to bleed, reopening his deep wounds. He grits his teeth hard and deals with the pain. Taking hits of cold raindrops on his face he began to breathe harder before he struggled to sit back up Before pulling the unconscious girl back into his arms, stood up and continue the walk.
lightning struck through the sky viciously striking a tree near this man and woman. The boy jumped as his heart began beating fast at the sudden bright light and how close he was to this lightning bolt. Some adrenaline shot through his body and he then began to jog down the path avoiding the deep puddles and ignored the pulsing pain and aches his feet felt. As he ran he notices the tree burst into vibrant flames, and began to spread brightly. He wondered how a fire could be possible in a rainstorm. noticing a small forest of trees nearby He grew nervous and anxious; he wasn't sure if he would ever find shelter. the only light seen in this dark night thunderstorm was the small fire trying to grow stronger. But the fire had eventually ceased due to the fact the rain poured heavier and heavier putting out the fire. Trees moaned in the furious high wind as if they mourned the loss of their fellow struck down tree from the strike. The man slowly stopped and looked around for shelter. He spotted a broken down shack and smiled slightly. Raindrops the size of bullets and slabs of sleet slapped onto his back as he ran for this shack of shelter.
Moments later he ran up to the door and flipped the girl over his shoulder to open the door. Twisting the knob frantically, He grumbled when the door would not open. "crap man, I don't have the patience for this." the man said to himself angrily. He then gently leaned the girl up against the wall of the shack, "hold on for just one second." he spoke to the girl softly.
The girl sat unconscious against the wall as the raindrops started to fall over her body. He then backed up and used as much strength as he could use from his cold shivering body to kick the door open. With a loud and forceful kick, the door slammed open. The boy quickly lifted the girl back into his arms and ran into the shack. The man used his foot to kick the door closed, unfortunately being broke it swung back open, the cold winds blew inside, the man man grumbled and began Looking around the only furniture seen was a few chairs, a sink, a dresser, and a table. He grumbled even more at lack of proper supplies, he gently laid the girl against the wall. Taking his coat off that's been soaked and cold from the girl and tossed it over to a corner.
He stood up and grabbed a chair and walked over to the door and closed it once more and used the chair to keep the door shut. He walked to the corner and grabbed his soaked coat and walked back to the door and leaned his coat over the chair for more Weight to hold the chair in place. After he did the best he could to keep the door closed he walked over to the other supplies and searched through the dresser for anything he could use for warmth. He found an old blanket and someone's old shirt, bottoms and small thin pajamas. Nothing else was in the dresser. He looked at this girl and grabbed the blanket first and laid the blanket on the floor, grabbed the dry clothes and then slide over to the girl lifting her up gently and closed his eyes as he began to strip the wet clothes from her body. He slightly opened his eyes to see what he's doing to properly dress her. His face had a slight color of red on his cheeks unintentionally having a glance of this girls figure. He soon quickly got the girl dressed and laid her on the blanket and wrapped the other half over her. "These clothes are still to small to properly fit her but at least she was in dry clothing. " he thought to himself.
The girl was still unconscious but breathing normally, her body began warming up fast and eventually looked snug. The boy sat next to her watching her for a while before taking his shirt and shoes off. His feet bore several giant blisters as he held his head in pain. He kept the pants on regardless of how cold they made him feel, he shivered and groaned trying to warm himself. He thought about sharing the blanket but didn't believe it was right to push past unnecessary boundaries.
He leaned against the wall listening to the rain beat and splatter against the walls. He listened to the wind and thunder booming and whistling. He closed his eyes and began to thank God he survived this sudden storm. He thought about how weak he felt not being able to use his power to create things needed or teleport to a safe location, but there was nothing he could do at the fact he has no mana left inside him. He eventually fell asleep from exhaustion and fumbled to his side. His mana began to slowly restore as Hours passed. The morning grew nye, the rain slowly started to ease as time passed, eventually allowing the breakthrough of light to shine through the clouds. The heavy wind stopped and the sound of birds chirping in excitement the storm passed could be heard.
The girl started to slowly regain her conscious by twitching her fingers, she eventually moved to her side before opening her eyes. Her vision was a blur and her head pounded in pain. She slowly sat up trying to adjust her eyes. Her long black silky hair became damp flowing down her back. Side hairs flowed down the sides of her cheeks with some hair hanging down in the middle of her forehead. Her green eyes shimmered brightly as she looked around. She then noticed this boy laying on his side against the wall asleep. She became slightly nervous as she noticed she was in different clothing as he was shirtless. She sat there staring at the boy until she slowly decided to see if the man was alive...
She slowly eased her way to him and noticed his back has some deep slashes, bleeding and fresh. His body looked dark purple and looked sick. Her eyes grew weary in worry and concern before she decided to rip part of her clothes off and pressed them against his wounds until they stopped bleeding. She tossed the pieces of clothes with his blood over to a corner. With blood that laid around the man on the ground. She began Looking around to help him. She looked directly back at this boy when she noticed his skin looked purple and infected, he looked terribly exhausted.
His face looked pale and his lips were blue. She felt worried and checked his pulse but quickly jumped back when he moved on his back groaning in pain as he slept shivering. The girl then crawled back over to her blanket and grabbed it bringing it back over to the man. She laid the blanket next to him and gently touched his arm to pull him on top of the blanket to allow him to lay on something softer. wrapping part of the blanket over his chest, she began Feeling his pants and how soaked they still were. She turned her head and pulled them off quickly covering his whole body with the blanket before looking at him again. She looked out the window as water slid down the window, looking back at this boy, slowly grabbing his hair and moved it from his face. "who are you?" she asked herself before standing up holding her forehead with her left hand. The man began to slowly warm up, he stopped shivering after a few moments Under the blanket.
Allowing his mana to increase and restore faster. Once his body was warm enough, he curled into a ball into the blanket. As the color received back into his body. The girl watched the man sleep for another few hours, but as she was watching she started to feel different, her head throbbed in pain and her vision was off and on from focusing clearly. She felt queasy and lightheaded. Chills rushed through her body as she folded her arms around her. She tried to remember what happened before she passed out. But couldn't remember anything. She couldn't remember who she is, her name or where she's from. She wondered and tried to remember something but nothing was coming through. She slouched over while sitting in the chair as she placed her elbows on her knees and held her head in her hands and began to cry in fear.
Her hair flopped over her face dangling downward and sat there scared and confused. She wanted to run but felt as if she had to stay near this man. She slowly looked up and glanced at the sleeping man through the strands of hair. "please wake up." she mumbled to herself. As time passed she felt hunger and felt colder. Her body felt weaker and felt sicker by the minute. But Little did she know she will soon end up in a life threatening situation caused by three men who had kidnapped her.
