Inside the CEO's office at Zhang Corporation.
Zhang Yixing was busy reading and evaluating contracts in his desk. He is a well known workaholic who seems to enter an entire new world when he is focused and tends to ignore everything happening around him. So he was obviously pissed when his secretarial telephone rang.
Zhang Yixing answered the phone, "What is it?", irritation very visible in his tone.
"I received an email from Moonlight Corporation, they declined your invitation for a meeting, Sir."
"Interesting...", Zhang Yixing trailed off.
Lu Han was nervous by the way his boss responded. His boss was abnormally calm that he felt like a storm was brewing on the way. "They said in the email that their boss doesn't have any free time to meet with you but if we want some revision in our contract, we can send them a copy and they will consider if it's fine or not."
Lu Han wiped off the invisible sweat in his forehead. First, his boss was pissed since he got disturbed while working and now the reason why he disturb his boss is no good news as well. He silently prepared himself for a fiery scolding.
"They're being overly secretive... Still no leads as to their CEO is?"
"None, Sir.", Lu Han answered. "I had someone watch over their company for the last three weeks and their CEO hasn't been to the company, not even once."
"Dig more into it. If you don't have a lead about his identity by next week, expect a cut on your salary for this month." Zhang Yixing ended the call.
Lu Han braced himself for the salary cut. It was way impossible to get his nose into who the CEO of that godforsaken company is. He had always been efficient when it came to digging a person's background. He could know everything about anybody in less than a day once he starts doing his work. But this person is so freaking good at hiding himself from Lu Han that it has already been three weeks and he still doesn't have clue about who he is.
Even though the call has ended, Zhang Yixing didn't go back to doing the paperwork in front of him. Instead, he sat silently as he stared at nothing with his brows knitted and his forehead forming a frown.
He was so curious about the CEO of Moonlight Corporation. He wants to know him personally as he was amazed at how good he was in handling a business. It hasn't even been a year yet since the company was established but now, it has already made it's name in the industry. Almost every company wants a collaboration with Moonlight Corporation because every past project that it has invested in has been very successful. It shows just how good the company is when it comes to analyzing business proposals and calculating profits and loses. It is quickly progressing and making it's way to the top 10 companies with most net worth per annum which is filled with business empires that are already in the industry for generations, the Zhang Corporation hogging the first position.

In Empire Estates.
"Ye Zixuan, make the arrangements needed for the resort project in Island B, Mr. Smith wants the construction to start by next month.", Zhou Yuexi said as she closed the folder containing the signed contract with Mr. Smith.
"Sure thing, Boss."
Zhou Yuexi then faced her computer, reading the background of some minor share holders in Zhou Real Estates. After seeing which companies they own, she checked the previous projects of the said companies and evaluated whether it was worth it to invest in some of their future projects.
"Send proposals for investment on the companies of those I asked background information for under Moonlight Corporation. Make the planning department draft proposals with eye bulging benefits, in return they need to sell their shares in Zhou Real Estates. Give the proposals to me for final editing before sending it out to each respective companies. I want those proposals in my desk by Friday."
"I'll notify the planning department right away, ma'am.", Ye Zixuan complied. "Anything else ma'am?"
Zhou Yuexi was about dismiss her secretary until she remembered something. "Oh, also send this personally to Zhang Yixing.", she said as she handed Ye Zixuan an envelope of papers.
Ye Zixuan looked so curious about the contents of the envelope but debated herself against asking Zhou Yuexi what it was. She just took the envelope and turned to leave.
Zhou Yuexi found Ye Zixuan's actions rather cute and humorous that even though she didn't intend to tell her secretary in the first place, she still ended up spilling the beans. "Those are my identification papers, Lu Han needs those to get my Certicate of No Marriage and for other stuff necessary for his boss's and my marriage."
Ye Zixuan was shocked to hear the answer to her unasked question. She turned to face Zhou Yuexi again only to find her boss laughing at her.
"You're really getting married to Zhang Yixing, Boss?", Ye Zixuan asked as she stared at Zhou Yuexi incredulously. She thought her boss was just kidding the other time she asked. At first, she believed what Zhou Yuexi told her but upon further contemplation she found it quite unbelievable as she never saw her boss going on dates, let alone meeting Zhang Yixing in person. But now that she's slapped with black and white evidence, she was forced to accept the fact that Zhou Yuexi really was going to marry Zhang Yixing.
"Yes, on Friday. Also Lu Han will probably ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement. Although I trust you completely, we can just never be too sure."

The 31st of July came and the sun was painted a bright red hue as the sun as already setting.
It was a few minutes past five in the evening and a dashing Maybach was waiting by the basement parking lot of the Empire Estates building. Inside the car was the driver, Lu Han and Zhang Yixing who was in his usual black suit.
On the other hand, Zhou Yuexi just finished examining the investment proposals from the planning department. She was shocked to see the time when she looked at her wrist watch so she hurriedly closed the folders in front of her and locked it in her drawer. She also made sure to turn off her computer before quickly grabbing her bag and cellphone and running out of her office.
Zhou Yuexi took her personal elevator and quickly pressed for the basement level.
Zhou Yuexi leaned on the elevator wall and gently closed her eyes as she catched her breath. She was finally relaxing when her phone buzzed. She opened it and found a text message from Zhang Yixing.
"I'm already at your company's basement parking lot, I figured it would be better if I just picked you up since it's on the way. But you might want to hurry darling, since the Civil Affairs Bureau closes at six."
Zhou Yuexi didn't know which point of the text message she should focus at. She was flustered at the sudden announcement that Zhang Yixing would pick her up but she was also dumbfounded by the fact that they could be late to their own wedding.
"I'm already in the elevator going down there. I'll be there in three minutes max.", Zhou Yuexi replied.
When the elevator stopped, Zhou Yuexi swiftly got out but was greeted by Lu Han who was sent by Zhang Yixing to escort her to his car.
"This way Madam." Lu Han led Zhou Yuexi to the car and then opened the door for her.
As soon as the both of them got in, the chauffeur started the engine and drove away to the Civil Affairs Bureau.
"You didn't have to come and pick me up. You should have just waited for me there.", Zhou Yuexi complained.
Zhang Yixing didn't mind and just shrugged Zhou Yuexi's complaint. "It's fine, darling. It works better this way. We can save on time, effort and gas money. Don't you think so darling?"
Zhou Yuexi's face flushed into a light red color at the utterance of the endearment darling. She doesn't really mind being called darling, since they already talked about it but there were other people in the car.
Zhang Yixing noticed that his wife to be felt shy having people listen to their conversation so he signaled the driver to raise the car's partition.
Lu Han was thankful that Zhang Yixing did so, because if he didn't, he would probably puke liters of blood from the polar difference in his boss's temperament around Zhou Yuexi. It's he was looking a completely different person.
When Zhou Yuexi saw that they were no longer visible to Lu Han and the driver, she felt slightly relieved. Even so, she still shot Zhang Yixing an accusing glare accompanied with a pout and humphed at him. Zhang Yixing wasn't bothered with Zhou Yuexi's hostile action but instead found it cute.
Zhou Yuexi then seemed to remember something. She rummaged through her bag and took out a tiny pouch, her make up kit. She retouched her make up starting with the compact powder. Zhou Yuexi was so occupied with dabbing make up on her face that she didn't pay attention to Zhang Yixing beside her who was looking at her like he was trying to memorize her face.
When Zhou Yuexi finally noticed that Zhang Yixing was watching her, she stopped applying the pressed powder on her face. "What are you looking at? Never seen someone retouch their make up before?", she said with a raised eyebrow.
"No. I'm just wondering, why do you need to do that?", Zhang Yixing answered truthfully.
Zhou Yuexi looked at Zhang Yixing as if he had three heads. "You're seriously that question? We'll have our photos taken later and that will forever be in our marriage certificates. I don't want a haggard looking face to be plastered forever in such an important document."
Zhang Yixing chortled at Zhou Yuexi's reason. "But you are already beautiful right now."
Zhou Yuexi was dumbfounded. She didn't know how to take in Zhang Yixing's words as it can be interpreted in two ways. It's either he was complimenting her for being beautiful despite having faded make up or he was making fun of her haggard looking face. She chose to believe that it was the former which caused her heart to skip a beat.
