Jinhee pretended to turn deaf ear to Taeho and decided to leave from there. If Taeho questions her about something, she could just pretend to remain oblivious.
"Stop right there!" A commanding voice pierced through her ear.
Fear began rising within Jinhee, as she turned back, and Jinhee tried her best to put on a composed expression after glancing at Taeho's sharp eyes.
'Jinhee, you idiot! Are you ready to get rebirth again? You shouldn't have stood there to listen!'
"Is there something you needed, Mr. Han?" Jinhee questioned, hoping that there was no sign on guilt on her face.
"How much did you hear?" Taeho asked— his tone sounding cold and distant. His voice was able to make hairs stand on the nape of Jinhee's neck.
"About what, Mr. Han?" A courteous smile was placed on Jinhee's face.
"If anything gets revealed, you'll know what true pain means." His warning tone was enough to engrave fright into the others.
"I don't know what Mr. Han is trying to imply, but I'll surely abide by it," Jinhee spoke out.
'Don't you worry! I have no desires in inviting death.'
Turning his back on Jinhee, he walked towards the large gate of the mansion, and Jinhee let out a breath of relief. The air around him made her feel suffocated. Those green eyes of him was capable of instilling anxiousness within one's mind.

"Jaehyun-ah, happy birthday!" A girl exclaimed through her phone— excitement could be perceived in her tone.
"Hmm," Jaehyun responded monotonously from the other side— contrary to Jinhee's enthusiasm.
"So, can you come over at my place later?" The female questioned with nervousness evident in her tone.
"Not possible. Work ends at eleven," The male answered.
A despondent outlook appeared on the females face as her eyes stared at the cake on the table and a present box on the table, and she let out a sigh. There was no helping it.
"If that's the matter, then I guess we can celebrate it tomorrow."
"I'll be going to Japan tomorrow early in the morning," Jaehyun spoke out with nonchalance shown in his tone.
"That's too bad then I suppose."
"Bring over a lunch box; It's not convenient to eat take outs." Jaehyun's words immediately lifted Jinhee's mood up, and her eyes started to sparkle.
"Sure! I'll bring it over in an hour," Jinhee replied.
'We can celebrate the birthday together!'
°°°
Jinhee yawned as she sat up on her bed. The contents of her dream was vivid to Jinhee, and she scoffed at how pathetic she was. After elatedly making a lunch box for Jaehyun in her previous life, Jaehyun spared less than ten minutes to her.
He can't exactly be blamed for he was busy with work. Nonetheless, he did not initiate a conversation with Jinhee the entire time, and it was Jinhee asking the questions.
Staffs there gossiped on how Jinhee pathetically latched herself on to Jaehyun, and some even stared at her with scorn.. Nevertheless, she was at bliss at that moment to be effected by those words.
"Jinhee, no matter how he is, you can't give yourself to him again or else you'll be the loser," Jinhee mumbled to herself.
Staring at the neat bed in front of hers, Jinhee noticed that Taehee wasn't upon it. It seemed that Taehee had not return to the dorm room last night.
Throwing the blanket off of her body, Jinhee was about to walk out of the bed when her phone rang up. Taking the phone from her bed, Jinhee received the call without glancing at the caller's ID.
"Good morning, Jinnie!" Taehee's voice reached Jinhee's ear.
"Is there something you needed?" Jinhee questioned— her voice sounding unwelcoming.
Her eyes were groggy due to the lack of sleep last night for her mind was consumed by various thoughts, and coupled with the new twists, Jinhee felt irritated.
"I suppose it's not such a good morning for you, Jinnie. Was it because you stayed up all night— worried about me?" Taehee's voice held cheekiness. "Don't worry, I'm safe, and I was not cheating on you."
It is true that Jinhee was somewhat worried for Taehee informs Jinhee everytime she doesn't spend the night here, but Jinhee was not willing to accept that.
"I'll hang up the call if you don't need anything," Jinhee spoke out.
"Wait! Aren't you curious about the reason?" Taehee questioned.
"No," Jinhee answered concisely. Dealing with Taehee's jokes was not something Jinhee wanted to do now.
"As always, you're my cold-hearted beauty," Taehee commented. "Oh yeah! I called you to pack my bag and bring it over to class today. By the time I reach school, it will be too late to do that."
"Noted." Jinhee hung up the call immediately.

Dressed in the Starlight Highschool's uniform, a beautiful female student sat on the back seat of the car whilst her hand held on to her touchscreen phone. A smiling expression sat upon her face.
"Ms.Taehee looks happy today," The driver voiced out.
"My little squirrel was being especially cute today. Anyways, Ahjussi¹ must know ways to impress a female, right? Teach me some methods."
