Chapter 62 - More fervently

Traveling down a steep, water slope, Jinhee and Taehee finally landed on a level ground. The boat moved smoothly and at a leisurely pace.

Water splashed on to both of their garments, and using her hand, Jinhee brushed back the bangs that fell on her forehead.

Her eyes stared at the surroundings in awe. Greenery was present at both side of the lake, and chirping of various birds could be heard.

Although all of this was artificial, they looked very close to realistic. Jinhee's eyes widened when she noticed at deer looking at them. In it's golden outer layer, the deer appeared absolutely majestic.

'The park truly lives up to its name!'

As they travelled through the calm water, Jinhee spotted many more species— squirrels, a panda, rabbits, hares, and parakeets.

This was Jinhee's favourite ride so far, and she did not want it to end yet. Looking all around, she hoped for more animals to come out.

"Jinhee, look here!" Taehee exclaimed.

When Jinhee turned her face towards Taehee, she was splashed with water in her face. Taehee's laughter— something she heard very often today— resonated through the air, and wiping her face, Jinhee glared at Taehee.

'That brat! She even has to ruin this moment!'

Once again, Taehee scooped up some water with her hands and directed them towards Jinhee. Intensifying her stare towards Taehee, Jinhee silently wiped her face again.

'Don't lose control, Jinhee. She'll give up eventually. She'll—'

Before Jinhee could properly complete thinking, her face was once again attacked with water, and this time Jinhee's glower towards Taehee turned extremely fierce.

'This is it!'

Turning the other way, Jinhee leaned down and scooped water with her hands. Before she could throw the water at Taehee, her wrist was grasped, making it hard for her to splash at Taehee's face.

The water dripped down her hand as she squirmed around for Taehee to loosen the grip. A sly smile formed on Taehee's face as if she was challenging Jinhee. This infuriated Jinhee further and fueled her desire to get Taehee wet.

"Let go, Han Taehee," Jinhee enunciated, pronouncing each syllables clearly.

"I like holding your wrists, so no," Taehee answered, wearing that mischievous smile.

By now, all the water in Jinhee's palm had fallen down, wetting Taehee's blue jeans in the process. No matter how much she struggled, her strength did not hold a candle to that of Taehee's.

'Does she practice martial arts or something? Why is her hold so strong?'

"Han Taehee, stop being immature and release my hands!" Jinhee exclaimed.

"What if I disagree, my little squirrel?"

Angered, Jinhee stood up on the boat, hoping that would cause Taehee let go of her wrist. However, that was a bad decision for the boat lost balance due to sudden increase in pressure.

The boat shook, then tipped towards Jinhee's side, and finally, turned almost upside down, leading for both of them to fall into the lake.

Jinhee wanted to cry at this moment.

'How is my luck that bad today! I should have rejected Taehee's invitation more fervently.'
