Chapter 27 - Ch. 27

Upon arriving back home, Akame walked up to her mother with a very worried look. She kept a firm but gentle grip on the twin she has within her arms. "It's.. umm.. done, mother. We have the twins, we were not spotted but I'm pretty sure they would notice them missing any time soon. By how over protective I remember that family being along with Sasuko, they would for sure start a search for them."

Silver did not glance over her shoulder to look at Akame. Instead she remained looking out the window with her arms folded behind her back. "It doesn't matter. Besides, it wouldn't be that wise of them to come for them right away. They are completely not prepared for what might happen if they do some here. I'm sure one among them would suggest that they wait. For how long? I'm not sure, but it has to be for a understandable length of time."

"So.... should we put them in their room now?" Akame asked after a moment of silence that seemed to last forever, constantly eyeing her younger brother.

Their mother nodded, waving her hand as she dismisses them. Silently, both Akame and Zazu walked out of the main room and headed towards the stairs, proceeding to the third level. "I really hate this. I feel very uncomfortable, Zazu. I think I'll proceed to doing that." Akame stated once they both arrived to the third floor.

"Just be careful, Akame. Sasuko might not believe you. Choose your words wisely if you do so." Zazu said as he entered the bedroom that was fixed for the infant twins. Placing the twin he had in his arms in the crib he turned his full attention to his sister. "Also don't forget what our mother is seeking for. You doing what you want to do might end up ruining her plan and she'd for sure figure out who did it. I can't stand the idea of you getting a harsh punishment because of that."

Sighing deeply, Akame set down the twin she was carrying in the crib as well and crossed her arms, pensive. Not saying anything else and not really wanting to hear her reply, Zazu gives his sister a slight node, turn, and exit the room.

Pacing back and forth endlessly with both of her hands at her temples, Jewel constantly gives those gathered together in the living quick glances as she tries to comprehend what they had just discovered. "I can't believe this really.. I didn't think she would go this far!! But it would be risky to try something right away huh?"

"Yes, it would." Sasuko replied, having her back facing her family, staring out the window with her arms crossed, more angry than anything else. "We might as well wait for a bit."

Frowning deeply, Jewel looked towards her direction, replying: "How long is "a bit"??"

Sasuko replied with a shrug, going silent once again. Sighing deeply, Jewel leans against the wall and looks at her parents and parents-in-law, along with her brother-in-law. Half expecting a protest among them, she looks down at her feet, her vision slowly being clouded with tears. Messing with her hair slightly, all Jewel could do - along with the others - is hope that the twins would be safe and sound while they wait for time to pass by.
