Chapter 20 - High Goddess Nebthet

Kael was dropped in front of a massive door that had been carved with many mysterious symbols.

"Divine Apostle, please go inside," the bone dragon said humbly as he retreated from the palace.

Kael was nervous because he was meeting a goddess, who created the planner world he was standing inside.

After amassing all of his courage, he looked at the massive door to find a method to open it but he only saw the mysterious symbols and words that were swimming inside the door like small fishes.

"Are these symbols similar to the Space – Time teleportation array?" Kael asked the system as he tried to touch the symbols on the door.

[These symbols are called Runes and ones on the Space – Time teleportation array were far more complicated than those on the door but Divine Apostle should acquire higher authority to access more information about the Runes]

Just as Kael shifted his focus from the massive door to the system, the Runes on the massive door vanished and the door opened silently.

Upon seeing this, Kael walked inside the door which led to an enormous hall which was more than a Kilometer long, illuminated by fist-size beautiful orbs that were floating near the ceiling of the hall.

A massive white throne, at least 50 meters high and 10 meters wide was placed at the end of the hall.

Due to his enhanced eyesight, he was somewhat able to see a woman in a black tunic skirt floating in a cross-legged position with black bat-like wings protruding from her back which somehow enhanced her beauty.

Her black hair was silky smooth and her skin was more delicate than the best jade.

This was the perfect lady.

This was Kael's first thought when he saw her.

This kind of perfection was not just the perfection of looks, but the kind of perfection that no flaws could be found.

She was completely flawless in all aspects.

"Thank you, Goddess, for inviting me to your Divine World. I am Kael Strider, the hum… Chaos Demon from Earth," his voice echoed in the hall, but it received no response.

There was complete silence inside the hall.

The woman floating on the throne remained still as though she wasn't able to hear him.

"Thank you, High Goddess Nebthet, for inviting me to your Divine World!" Kael shouted out once more. This time, even louder.

Yet, there was still no response. The hall returned to silence once more.

Kael was hesitant but he remembered the legends about Gods on Earth.

Is she listening to the prayers of her believers? Could it be that the system brought me here without her consent? Impossible!

"This is not a place where you should shout. Even if you are my Divine Apostle, you should wait for me to wake up, instead of disturbing my sleep," Kael heard a cold voice that came from the throne's direction.

The moment Kael heard this voice, he trembled in fear. It was as though High Goddess's faint noise was enough to seriously injure him.

Blood rushed out of his mouth as his heart started to beat as loud as a drum.

He only calmed down after some time.

"You have completed the task! Well, it is to be expected from a Chaos Demon, though you are just an infant from a branch family," she said emotionlessly while glaring at him.

Kael felt as if he was stripped naked in front of the Goddess just by the glare of her.

"Come forward," she said.

Kael helplessly walked towards her as she started to explain, "A contract was made between us when you full-filled all the conditions for activating the system set by me. According to which you will act as my representative in the planner wars as well as give me souls of the people you kill, in return, I will provide you with Origin Qi in the form of Exp according to the quality of soul along with some treasure"

As she said, she flicked her delicate looking wrist and a ball of red light suddenly appeared in the air and started moving towards Kael at lightning speed.

Before Kael could even understand what was happening the red light struck directly in the center of his eyebrows and was absorbed by his body.

*Ding*

[Divine Apostle is officially accepted as High Goddess Nebthet's third and last Divine Apostle]

[There were 23.8 billion souls of various cultivation, and races that were sacrificed to activate the System which was housed inside the Soul Integrating Crystal Ball.]

[As per the agreement with the creator of all the systems, the Ancient God of Wisdom. High Goddess Nebthet will reward Divine Apostle, something that is worth about 13,566,964,073,968 Exp]

"So it's more than 13.56 Trillion Exp," Nebthet exclaimed before continuing, "You are still an infant, so I will give you something that will guide you on the same path as your Chaos Ancestors."

"…."

"Come with me." She commanded as she started to fly towards the exit of the hall.

"?"

Kael could not understand how he was supposed to follow her. But he soon understood what she meant.

*Shoo*

The part of the floor he was standing on, started to float before it started following her. As both of them flew towards the interior of the palace, as they approached a wall and a black arch door slowly & silently appeared on it, it was similarly filled with Runes.

The door opened automatically as she approached it, and they flew in.

Inside was a pitch-black hollow space without a trace of light. But with a snap of her fingers, the black space was illuminated.

The treasury.

This was no doubt a treasury of a goddess.

The whole space was filled with a large number of shiny crystals of a different color, the smallest of which was as big as elephants.

There was also a large amount of expensive-looking jewelry and weapons like swords, blades, spears, etc. Some of them even had colored clouds of mist floating around them.

Nebthet walked to a corner where a lot of luxurious looking chests were placed on racks and searched around, finding a very sophisticated looking black & red metal chest.

"Come here." She waved at Kael.

Kael flew over. Although he did not know what she was up to actually, he knew she would not harm him, after all, if a goddess like her wanted to harm him, he would have died countless times by now.

"Drink it." Nebthet opened the black & red metal chest. Inside the metallic chest was a test tube full of dark red fluid. She held it up and passed it to Kael.

Kael accepted the test tube. He then composed himself and looked at it.

'It did not seem harmful, so it should be alright…' He thought so in his mind.

*Gulp*

Kael opened the test tube and emptied it inside his mouth.

Before Kael could even let out a breath, he felt as if a large number of scolding hot lava streams emerged from his stomach and were rushing straight for his heart and brain.

Before they could reach his heart and brain, *Boom!*

The lava streams exploded and Kael lost consciousness.
