School ended and soon it was the D-day.
Mu Xinyan woke up and arranged all she needed in her backpack with the help of Xiner, because she really didn't know what to take.
It was the first time they actually did something together and didn't argue. This made Shen Yue very happy.
Previously, she was skeptical about letting Xinyan and Xiner be together in the same place alone without the adults from the family.
She didn't want outsiders to know the two of them disagreed so much.
She was also afraid Xiner may spill the beans out of anger. Then the consequences would be seriously dire and surely Mu Yinan wouldn't forgive her. He'd stop loving Xiner.
"Alright Xinyan let's go down for breakfast" Xiner said, happy and excited. Her grandmother would usually not allow her go to her friends sleepovers because they weren't important or from important families, and she couldn't invite them over too. So she hadn't been to many sleepovers.
"Mhm Xiner I think you're forgetting something…" Xinyan said with a smug smile as she stoode at the top of the stairwell and watch Xiner's excited back as she walked down the steps.
Xiner stopped and and sighed.
"Alright Jiejie let's go get breakfast" she said with a grunt.
"That's more like it" Xinyan said before finally moving down the staircase with her.
One of the helpers was carrying a small to medium size suitcase behind them and couldn't help but smile at their interactions. It seems likke there won't be much drama in the Mu family home like they presumed. The two young misses got along merrily.
Xiner and Jiayi were seriously rubbing off on Xinyan making her more bright, smiling, less cautious and willing to make conversation.
They sat at the dining table and were having a late breakfast as Xiner was busy preparing all morning and Xinyan was busy trying to finish all her weekend studying that morning so they could have fun with peace of mind.
"If anything happens don't forget to call us okay" Shen Yue reminded them as they quickly ate their breakfast.
"Yanyan here you can use this to buy whatever you want" Mu Yinan said and handed her a gold card .
"Thank you father," Xinyan said with a smile. She knew her two siblings already had one and she was happy to finally be having hers. She had seen Xiner and Xia buy things online through their phones and laptops with that card.
"Don't forget to take good care of your sister" Grandpa Mu reminded Xinyan. He also knew the two sisters didn't have the best relationship, but he prioritized family harmony and had to remind Xinyan. Both girls were such good girls, he knew they would get along well sooner or later.
"Yes Great-grandfather" Xinyan said with a smile and her mouth full. She loved food the most.
"Xiao'er listen to your sister," Mu Yinan said .
"But Father..."
"No, but you should listen to her and that's final." Mu Yinan said and stared at her sternly.
They saw Xia coming down with a bag also.
"Xia, where are you going ?"
"Lu Song invited me for an overnight hangout. We'll be going to the shooting range first ."
He said with a smug look on his face .
"How boring, " Xiner said.
"It's better than going shopping. " he retorted.
"You're wrong." Xiner said
"I'm right "
"Xiner, let's not argue with him and spoil our day, okay" Xinyan quickly swallowed the food in her mouth and mediated. She didn't want the elders to give another reason to give them a sermon on togetherness, they had had a lot of those this week already.
"you're right Jiejie" Xiner said still staring meanly at Mu Xia.
"Xiner you're actually calling her Jiejie it's not fair" Xia was clearly displeased, they were twins why did Xiner treat them differently.
"jiejie said, if I call her jiejie I can attend her slumber party so I did. Now what's so unfair about it" she sighed because she was still reluctant about calling Mu Xinyan elder sister, but she had to attend this slumber party.
Xia could only eat with a sour expression.
'no one loves me anymore'
The kids boarded different cars that took them to different destinations and soon after, it was just Shen Yue and Mu Yinan in the living area.
"Yinan you're leaving because the kids won't be home today right ?" Shen Yue asked after she finished instructing the cooks on what to prepare for lunch.
"No, I'm not leaving "
"Then why are you dressed up ?"
"Since the kids all have outings today why don't I take you out instead?" Mu Yinan said with a smile and wrapped his hands around his wife's waist, teasing her
She blushed and quickly escaped and went upstairs to change quickly.
At 10am sharp, they all reached their destinations.
As Xiner and Xinyan got down from the car they saw 3 other luxury cars stopping and parking behind them.
"Jiejie, I thought you said we're the only ones that were invited?"
"We were invited to Jiayi's slumber party. Xuleo is also hosting a slumber party and those may be her guests"
"ohh" Xiner said and then the help guided the two of them into the building.
"This house looks amazing " Xiner could not help but comment in a very hushed whisper. The help dropped their suitcase in the living room, and left.
"Yanyan" Jiayi came running down the stairs .
"You're here. And this must be your sister, she's so pretty. She looks more like Xia though "
"Thankyou "Xiner replied
"Jiayi these must be your friends " A gorgeous woman walked down the stairs behind Jiayi. She was smiling brightly. Xinyan and Xia were told to act extremely properly in front of Mrs Mo as she may not like Jiayi that much and they shouldn't cause trouble for Mo Jiayi.
"Good morning Mrs Mo" they both said .
"Good morning dearies, just call me aunt, come inside don't just stand there" Tang Xiaoling led the girls inside .
4 girls walked into the living room and Xuleo came running down.
"Girls, you're here"
"Xuleo your house looks wonderful "
"Wow, as befitting of a Princess". The girls had already seen the house before but they only did it because they wanted to butter her up. The last time they went shopping together, Xuleo bought them lots of things even though they came with their own money. They couldn't wait for this time.
"Girls just wait here, I'll go get somethings" Xuleo said feeling smug, no matter what happens she was still the princess of the Mo family and everyone adored her.
The girls greeted Mrs Mo too, but she only nodded perfunctorily.
Tang Xiaoling looked at them coldly but then she changed her expression when she looked at her daughter.
"Mother I think we should go now " Jiayi said after she instructed the help to take the Mu girls things to her room.
"Alright dear, here's the platinum card you can buy anything you want, be safe okay . "
"Yes mother" Jiayi said with a smile and hugged her mother tightly.
Jiayi was extremely happy. It was the first time her mother gave her so much money. The other girls looked in awe, didn't Xuleo say, Jiayi wasn't very favored at home ?
