In no time the trio reached the nearest hospital. Thanks to Ye-Jin's contacts the doctor and the staff were all ready to attend the girl. Ye-Jin and Sooru went in with the hospital staff to take care of formalities leaving Ray behind who didn't look so good.
Ray was literally out of breath and about to collapse. He had shed his disguise back in the car. The effort of carrying a heavily pregnant young girl from two flights of stairs had taken a lot from him. He now sat on the steps of the hospital door craving for some water and a good gust of wind.
He was panting and about to get up and go get some water when a water bottle was pushed under his nose. He looked up to see Ye-Jin smiling down at him.
Ye-Jin: drink up.
He gladly accepted it and started to gulp down the cold liquid which felt soothing for his fried and over-worked nerves.
Ye-Jin: (sitting beside him) you were great tonight Ray.
Ray: (catching his breath) I feel like I ran a hundred miles.
Ye-Jin: (concerned) Are you hurt somewhere?
Ray: (shaking his head) just tired. How is she now?
Ye-Jin: (shrugging) can't say. She is too young for this and too weak.
Ray: (confused) then why-
Ye-Jin: (clenching her fists in anger) from what I can say she is a victim of human trafficking. She might have been brought to that hell-hole of a world without her consent. Even I don't know the whole truth. I will have to talk with Sooru about it.
Ray: (shocked) you mean she was forced into prostitution?!
Ye-Jin: did you really think most girls do it on their free will? I hope it was true for most but this is just a shitty world.
Ray: (disbelief was written all over his face) I still can't believe it.
Ye-Jin: (placing her warm hand on his shaking ones) don't worry about this.
Ray: (nodding) so you are a social worker?
Ye-Jin: (shaking her head) I am just a teacher.
Ray: but what you did just tonight-
Ye-Jin: I just tried my best; (clenching her fists) I am really just a teacher in a private school.
Ray: (peering closely at her face) Park Ye-Jin you really are something else. I think you are angry about something.
J: (nodding) she is only 16, I really hate it when something like this comes up. Whoever did that to her- (gritting her teeth) I don't even want to think about the possibilities of what she went through there.
